Make sense. Focusing on the 3 most likely numbers to come up: 6,7,8. I’ve had really good luck with this. I was actually surprised it works but it’s obvious why it does.
I’ve had lots of success with it as well. Won’t hit massive home runs (unless you are at a table for a long long time) but is a grinder and has long term profit for me

Fools will keep playing pass line because its pretty along the bottom decor. I studied for over a year. Not giving out my secrets but this guy is correct initially.

There really is no difference. One has the advantage on the front end, the other has the advantage on the back end. Either way the house makes their edge.
i think it’s because some people are bitter when you win on the don’t when everyone else is playing pass

Yes sir, this is the way to play. I've never gone negative on a night playing dont pass and place bets on the inside (more or less numbers depending on the point) also i add odds to the dont pass when the point is 4,5,9, or 10

You got that 678 swagger until the shooter starts hitting their points right after the comeout. If you're looking out for beginners, you should explain the darksider aspect of this strategy as well.
I agree. Maybe should encourage leaving the 6 & 8 placements regardless of the point.
As a Veteran player I love the iron cross and love destroying someone who plays do not pass. This guy wouldn't budge and lost 625 over the course of an hour of me rolling. He was so mad and yea I was on one. In the end he shook my hand. I love craps
It’s a great game. It’s not that I hate the iron cross. I use it occasionally but I level it differently and then transition to something else.
How often do you win with the iron cross? I've played it a few times. Won a little once. The other two times I was just dumping money.
@@cheeseballs3825 Very rarely do I see people win with the iron cross. Have I seen people win, yes....but more often than not I see it bleed and lose. I also see the same people who win on the iron cross kick themselves as other people at the table win much more on the same rolls. Works both ways though.

That is the ONLY way to play the iron cross.

You have to tell people what happens when you have someone throwing 7,11 on the comeout or hitting their point i like this strategy but got to tell people how they lose on it

How he's playing you win money like that which is true to cover your ass on the come-out roll for 11 and 7 on the don't come line for insurance go $1 on seven and $1 on eleven
Yes, this strategy can go very wrong. I've done this plenty of times. But then when shooter makes points, you start losing that dont pass "insurance" bet.
If anything, do this strategy when you shoot. Use a hardway set on the come out, try not to roll a natural so that you establish a point. Bet across the place bets.Try to roll numbers. Come down on your place bets when you're ready. Throw a 7s set and try to crap out.

@darriusnelson7799 Only time the $25 don't pass would come down would be when the point was hit. Not just any number. Not sure if that's your question though either.
This is what I start with on a $25 table. $30 6/8 and a $5 hard 4/10. Collect twice go 5/9 press ass appropriate. Press up 4/10 hard to $10 if one hits.

Lol @ the spazzyness. Love it! I also love the 678 strategy. It’s definitely my new go-to strategy. One thing I’ve been experimenting with is to half ladder up my dp losses and ladder down on wins. Takes a bit bigger bankroll to do it, but it fights back like none other and it makes money.

Yes that's the reverse version but trust me I've seen 7s back to back on the comeout ,mainly online not so much when im throwing the dice at a table .😂
oh they happen all the time. I get beat twice by that comeout and i'll wait for the next shooter or try something else
@@DiceDegen hop the 7s on the come out for $1 each.. if it hits, go to $15 (collect $1), if it hits again, go to $60 (collect $20) or $75 (collect $5), if it hits again, you've won $300 or $375.. this only works if the table is 15 to 1 or 16 for 1..
I’ve seen people shoot 7,7,11,7 on the come out. You’ll lose $100. You could cover your butt with the any 7s that pays out 1 to 4, you’ll be down a little bit from the start but you’ll be protected from the natural come out, unless you hit 11. Then you have to worry about hitting the point.
Bet $25 on the Don’t Pass.
Bet $12 on each 6&8 = $24
You 7-out, you win $1.
Next roll is also a 7.
You lose $25.
I have been dealing dice for many years, there is no winning strategy. Ultimately it all comes down to luck.

Why is the iron cross crap? Every role you win. I suggest play the don’t come bet also. Every hit no matter what wins. Have to budget bank roll and press and regress depending on shooter.
Reason I don’t like the iron cross is the amount of hits needed to recoup your money. For example, on a $10 min table you go $10 field, $10 on the 5, $12 on the 6 and 8 for $44 total. 5 field hits will get you even. But if someone is rolling 5,6,8 you are only getting paid $4. Takes too long to get paid. On a long roll, yes you will make money but the average rolls will bleed you in the long run

I actually kinda like this. Good for a chopy table with not too many shooters i would guess. Could you show a way to modify this system if u start hitting the 6&8? Particularly for thise who dont know you can take down ur dont pass bet
It’s a great choppy table strategy or a starting strategy on shooters. Can always be modified to go more lightside on a good roll. Personally, I play this a few different ways, but my favorite is an aggressive 6/8. Let’s say $25 DP. $18 6/8. First hit on 6/8 pays 21. Two options from here…press 6/8 to $30 each or drop $3 and take the number that hit to $42. At that point your 6/8 pays $35 (If at $30) or $49 if at $42. Two hits at either the base level or pressed up has your 6/8 paid for and you can spread out more (other numbers), take down your DP, or lock up profit.

It all depends how the table is going you may only be betting dont come only it no single strategy always wins tables goes good or bad or when up and down then you have to bet by whays comong out a lot
Different tables and different shooters will always dictate how you play each round. I like this strategy, but the best one is just always betting on seven to win. The most odds/combinations for hitting any number with two dice is seven.
Every roll ends the same way…7 out of
Play a $2 yo on the comeout roll because 11 going kill your dp lay the 10 so the comeout 7 won't hurt you after 1st roll move your lay to the 6 and 8 and continue on the way he's showing but protect your first roll
Personally not a fan of hedging but certainly is an option!
With don’t pass it just stays there? How do you lose on don’t pass then when point is hit?
Lose the don’t on a come out 7 or 11 or of the point is hit
You have to survive the first roll. If you have a roller and keeps hitting 7 or 11 on the first roll, you will be down in a big hole.
I agree, not to mention when the point comes up early before playing house money. There's always holes.

I’m confused, I thought a roll of seven or 11 loses the bet on the don’t pass line. And a roll of seven or 11 wins the bet on the pass line.
dont pass loses on 7 or 11 on the come out roll, after the point is established dp wins on 7

Clearly you don't know what is going on here or what he's talking about, and that's fine, but you tried to be funny, and that's not fine. He's showing you a way to a game with way less volatility. people who are playing the iron cross are going to lose way more times than not, but they are hoping for one magical day where they hit the boom button. imagine you're a very casual gambler, are you going to play one that you could possibly win at or one you have almost no chance at? ps, gtfo.

$18 on 6, $18 on 8, and like $45 on dont pass?
$18 6 and 8…DP is your call. If you want to cover the bets then you would need at least $36 on the don’t. Can be played with a lower don’t and letting one hit cover you
@@DiceDegenman, so I showed up to the table and it wound up being $10, not $15 like the previous night. Anyhow, I would up just doing $10 on the don't, $12, on 6, and $12 on 8. (Glad I didn't bet larger on don't.)
The don't was killing me! I stopped playing don't and betting on the pass as I normally would.
I started throwing in on the field bet $10 here and there and I was getting wrecked still!
So, here I am dwindled down from my $200 starter stack off of don'ts, 6&8, and field bets.
This new shooter goes on an absolute hot streak! Shoots for like 45-60mins. He HIT EM ALL almost twice before crapping out. He needed one number to do it twice. He made the table so much money back. He crushed it with hitting 6's and 8's.
So, there I was down $200 about to walk away empty, to being up $200. Lol, dude made me my $200 + $200 in winnings.
Pretty solid strat for me
It doesn't matter what strategy you use. Although some have higher win rates than others. The house edge is the house edge. You can't overcome it. This guy is playing the "don't pass" on the comeout roll. So when the 7 comes (which it WILL 1 out of every 6 rolls), he loses immediately. That's where the house has their edge in this system. Not to mention that placing the 6 and 8 does NOT pay true odds.
I play boring: don't pass, then lay 6X don't pass bet. That's it. No other bets. So if I bet $25 don't pass and the point is 6, I'll lay $150 odds hoping that I'll hit the 7 before the point of 6. That's it. Occasionally I'll place the 6/8, but not often, mostly to tip the dealers.
What happens if the point is 6 or 8?
“Hug” the point…move the bet that would be on the 6 to the 5 so you have the 5 and 8 placed…8 is the point, move it to the 9 so you have the 6 and 9 placed

What he didnt tell you is if 6 or 8 dont come out and giy nails his point you lose. You need 7s 6 or 8 to hit at least once before any point is hit. Or you'll lose every roll. Nothing is free
Played this for the first time in Vegas last night, forgive me for my ignorance but what is the iron cross?
Iron cross is where you “win” on every number except the 7. It consists of a pass line, field bet, and place 5,6,8. You have all of the numbers covered. This main issue is that it takes about 6-7 hits to break even.
I won $1700 the other night playing the iron cross. But either way, id rather lose my money like a man than play the Dont Pass.

6,7,8 is one of my favorites. I play it quite often when trying to feel out the table. I’ve had good and bad sessions with it but has worked long term. Jacob from Wager me this rolls it out a lot! (It’s his strategy)

A lot of people forget about the hard ways but they have been good to me over the years
There is no method that doesn't have a house edge. If you're playing craps long term, you're eventually going to lose more money than you win. If you want to present a system, explain how it mathematically reduces the casino's edge more than other systems

What is the iron cross?
Putting money on 5,6,8,and placing a field bet every roll. The field pays 1:1 on 2,3,4,9,10,11,12(2 and 12 are 2:1 pay outs. Some tables pay 3:1 on 12). So ever you’ll get paid something. It’s a double-edge sword though. You’ll lose if you hit a series of short rolls. It’s good if the dice are hot. You’ll make a slow and steady profit.

True. If you are on hot streak, the iron cross, don’t forget to press 5,6, and after each point. It’s a progressive way to keep steady. That’s if you have already established a winning bank roll. Slow and steady

@@DiceDegen I have been testing it at $1,400 for 1 roll (work come out). If field hits, I go $220 inside. Of a 6 or 8 hits, I go $440 inside. Then press and collect. I have been digging it.

The Iron Cross is better then 678. On the Iron Cross every roll makes money. Stop thinking of Craps in terms of intervals between points and start thinking of the game as intervals between 7's. I guarantee you will be more profitable.
For those who don't know, 45% of pass line wins are from winning on the seven on the come out. The means 45% of Don't pass losses will be from the seven on the come out. The come out roll is the problem with this 678 strategy.
Disagree with the iron cross being better in totality. There are instances when the iron cross is a better play. However, many beginners lose playing the iron cross because they do not know when/how to adjust. From a mathematical perspective…the iron cross would break about even on an average roll.
@@DiceDegen I agree if you are playing at table min level ($18 6&8 $10 in the field, no money five) you need to do 3 hits and down to build up your money that is at risk. Or play at a higher level ($42 6&8 $25 in the field) for 3 rolls then regress to min table limit. Bottom line is if you do not have your original bankroll back in the rack after 3 rolls or less, you are over exposed and will get into a hole that you can't recover from.
@@louvoodoo agree 100%. The reason for 6,7,8 over the iron cross for beginners is that many of them do not realize what you have stated above. I have seen countless times the traditional iron cross be played and players walk away with no chips (especially beginners) because they do not recoup the original outlay, or they take to long to do so. On occasion, i play a modified iron cross that requires 2 sometimes 3 hits to be fully covered on my initial investment and then I switch to a different play.
So when the point hits you're just screwed?
Not necessarily….hopefully the 6/8 pays off. You can always adjust based on the roll
