How do I get that armour
can u please mention how u got that outfit with the cape on it
Imagine being Balgruuf, seeing ONE simple stormcloak soldier kill a DRAGON by HIMSELF and you still join the imperials.
He doesn't like Ulfric, he sees what Ulfric's supporters do not see, a power hungry dictator that cannot be reasoned with, it has to be his way or death, if it wasn't for him acknowledging that Alduin is back, he wouldn't enter a peace treaty with the Empire in Season unending

Truly a testament of how much of an asshole Ulfric is
I like asking Jarl Ballin what side he’s on in the war. He ends it with one day he’ll have to choose but “that day has not yet come” and then I promptly hand him Ulfric’s axe 😂😂😂
"The day may come where I am forced to draw my blade, either for one side, or the other.
But that day has not come yet."
"Guess again, fucker."
Oh axe ok I don't why I read it is as something else 😅
The Messenger when he refuses to get the Dragonstone so civil war is stopped and dragon will never attack again: "I BROUGHT PEACE, FREEDOM, SECURITY..."

Skyrim belongs to whoever's left when I'm done killing the Thalmor and the people in my way.
“you cant attack me, im dealing with other things right now” good writing Todd and Emil, i wonder how you havent gotten awards for it yet.
Well Technically no. He says he'll keep the axe, which means that he's siding with Ulfric, or at least as he says "tenuous peace at best"
Ulfric: attempts to attack Balgruuf.
Game: "This person is busy"
I always hated that it funnels you into the main story like this. Because it goes from: sending a capable person who managed to survived Helgen, to: literally sending the messenger on a death errand before hearing their message.
If he refused to hear the message, then the messenger would have come right back and the attack would have still occurred, but without imperial resistance. I feel like it wouldn't have been that much extra dialogue to have an alternative scenario.
It would be cool, if depending on your actions, their sequence and dialog options, it would change how you take or defend Whiterun.
If your the Harbinger the Companions participate alongside you.
There could be a stealthy version where you sneak in and let in the storm cloaks as a double agent.
You could have the blades as a personal army.
Take the city before it receives imperial help, op comment.
Catapult yourself over the walls, does this need explanation?
Dragon, yes.
I'm running out of ideas.
Dawnguard army.
Maybe you did something to change your position/rank, you already command some group or army, well you have some say in how the siege goes.
Also convincing Balgruuf to join the Stormcloaks, either as a slicked tongue Stormcloak.
Or as a really clumsy worded imperial.
Ofcourse this is just ramblings.
Wouldn’t it be cool if this was a hidden way to get Whiterun to side with Ulfric instead?
That's how Bethesda should have done it, I always side with the stormcloaks but I really like Jarl Balgruuf, If only he did join the stormcloaks instead of the imperials besides it doesn't make sense it's known that he worships talos and that he is a true nord he definitely would not be an Empire supporter.
@@BrianSmith-jx7td Except Balgruuf is actually smart and knows the Empire is the best chance Skyrim and all of Tamriel has for waging war on the Thalmor.
@@vaasmontenegro481 I think an overlooked reason could also be regional instability, Ulfric carved his way to the throne with iron and flame. Who's to say that if his rule is found unsatisfactory, another may not attempt the same.
Nevermind if for some reason the moot chose not to make him king, which is unlikely. But it is possible this situation could lead to further civil wars.
@@vaasmontenegro481the empire is literally a puppet what are they gonna do 💀
@@ssilent8202They're in a cold war with the Thalmor. It's literally hinted at by both sides, Tullius and the Thalmor both acknowledge the "peace" is temporary.
It's a game. The Empire is trying to rebuild it's strength while the Thalmor is doing everything in its power to slow this down via trying to keep the civil war at a stalemate, and just plain running amok in Tamriel.
Fun little tidbit, humans reproduce and replenish much faster than Elves.
I was always disappointed that Balgruuf couldn't be swayed to the Stormcloaks. Its implied he could be but the option isn't there.
Ulfric: "I give you my axe. It is an ultimatum. Join me or I will invade Whiterun."
Balgruuf: "No, I have a dragon problem, you will have to wait."
Ulfric: "Oh okay..."
Kinda disappointing that the game forces you into doing the main story quest but still a nice attention to detail nonetheless
To be fair it's the DRAGONS we're talking about
@@Toxin___InterHalfer the game doesn't force you to do anything
I mean, it's established that Balgruff cares more about dragons threatening his citizens than the petty politics of the civil war, just remembered how he responded to Avenicci warning about sending guards to Riverwood.
@@battlesheep2552 Dragons attacking Whiterun means they can wipe out the entire city, he's got his priorities correct.
What's ridiculous is that Balgruuf, instead of sending someone like Irileth or Lydia, decides to blackmail the messenger of a declaration of war into doing it by withholding his answer. Like, he doesn't even know if the Dragonstone tablet is actually important, yet he's willing to risk war over it...
Funfact, even though you can't fight for Whiterun until you are already Thane, Balgruuf has unique dialog indicating you were originally able to fight with the Imperials for Whiterun before discovering the thuum
The Dragonborn then returns the axe to Ulfric not knowing the implications
He did accept the axe here, at least until the dragon is dealt with
@@legendsofmichael4315The Dragonborn then never slays the Dragon, forcing Balgruuf to keep the axe accepting Ulfrics alliance.
@@prussianwaliser Wait that's such a giga brain move then. You refuse to do Ballin's chores and so Whiterun becomes part of the Stormcloak rebellion without having to fight for it
That's the thing, you can deliver the axe, after the Battle for Whiterun he'll still say, "I thought better of you." The first time he saw me was when I delivered the axe. He knew I was a Stormcloak all along.

"Hey, you courier. Go do a thing for me"
"Nope, sorry: nothin."
I liked it...
I've been looking all over for this and finally found it. Thank you.
If only I had known it was as simple as collecting enough gold, taking the carriage from Whiterun to Windhelm, speaking to Ulfric, passing your initiation as a Stormcloak, returning to Ulfric, delivering the axe to Whiterun, then speaking to Balgruff afterwards...
I feel like such an idiot now. The main reason I didn't do this initially was because I was afraid of the difficulty curve when trying to recover the Jagged Crown, especially because I had the Star Wars mod and every Imperial soldier guarding the tomb had a lightsaber and a blaster, not to mention armor that my regular weapons couldn't even scratch.
Eventually I did get past it, but only at level 15, at which point I got really pissed off and decided to take a break for a bit.
Then does he betray Ulfric after a Stormcloak eliminated the dragon problem? rofl.
i kinda wished he didn't and whiterun changed depending Dragonborn's side.
@@onatyungul872 not necessarily that, but I think you should have been able to persuade him based on your reputation and speech skill. As you know being Thane is a pretty prestigious position to be in
You can't blame Balgruuf for betraying a bellicose traitor. Ulfric betrayed the greybeards, then he betrayed the imperial legion by giving the imperial city plans to the Thalmor, then he slaughtered reachmen and nords in the reach, then he killed the high king in an unfair duel, then he started a war against his own kind, then he attacks neutral cities like Whiterun. So what's the problem with Balgruuf the bro ?
@@v.h.6343 Everything you have said here is false lol. There is a narrative against Ulfric but what you have said is just untrue. You know nothing of Elder Scrolls lore. He didn’t betray Greybeards. They offer help to those who ask and do not judge what they plan to do with it (there neutral) they literally say this multiple times. Reachmen attacked innocents of markarth and he took it back. That’s war not slaughter. Single combat is an honoured nord tradition which the high king at the time accepted. Nobody hates the Thalmor more than Ulfric (obviously). And he never started a war against his own kind, the empire started the war in refusal of the nord tradition and not wanting to give up power over Skyrim. The Narrative against him is the Thalmor intentionally drove him mad with vengeance during his time as there prisoner (so that although his intentions might be just, his willingness to go as far as he does will only help the Thalmor his greatest enemies in the long run).
@@lostliberty9913 lmao your narrative is completely distorted, go play Skyrim again and you’ll see that

Think I would’ve liked if whiterun was with u regardless as they’re at the start of the main story
Honestly, it really frustrates me that the game literally forces you to be the Dragonborn if you want to do the Civil War. It basically shoves you onto the "chosen one" pedestal instead of letting you be a fellow soldier in the war, and it only really comes up again if you side with the Imperials and only by Ulfric at the very end. Like, what was the point?!
And it's all because Balgruuf refused to answer Ulfric's war declaration until we, the messenger, completed a fetch quest for his wizard, based solely on the word of Delphine...
I always go straight to Bleak Falls Barrow after leaving Riverwood. I collect the Dragonstone and turn up in Whiterun for the first time.

@@7deEspadas Not really. You can just ignore it entirely. Dialogue and lore is edited to make things work without the dragons, if you choose to do so.

what........OMGosh.........Well thanks for the vid
Honestly it would have been much more compelling from the Civil war point of view if you had to convince Balgruff to join a side. Rather than him just siding with the imperials. Considering how much you actually do for him it would make more sense if you had to persuade him into taking a side in the war. I.e actually have him be a neutral state. rather than "Oh yeah he's totally neutral but just likes the empire and will instantly side with them no matter what you do." The entire civil war def has some issues but to me this is one of the bigger ones.
Whats even stupider is he sides with the imperials even after finding out your voice can call a dragon...
btw i love seiging cities with two dragons circling overhead.
Mechanically, I see why they did it. They didn't want to program alternate paths for the main quest to proceed if you did the rebellion first. So they took the choice away. Lazy, and it makes it feel video-gamey and unreal. But whatever.
The jarl taking the axe (even temporarily) is a worse misstep. There is cultural significance to it. A leader provides weapons to his followers. His followers accept them. Balgruuf has just tacitly sworn allegiance to the Stormcloaks.
So uhhh The Jarl of white run already gave me Ulfrics axe… now I don’t have the option to call them all to the graybeards.
Can I after we invade whiterun?
1:15 "Jarl Balgroof"? xD
Tell me how i can get that armour Ur wearin
“Peace” instead of “piece” hmmmm
Wait, what happens if you go back to Ulfric? Do you tell him he kept the axe to deal with the Dragon issue first?
Your game looks so colorful and alive. Are these mods?
Probably they are
Yes they are. Looks like parallax retexture with some ENB
Succeed and Whiterun will be in your debt.....btw a home here costs 10,000 gold!
Use the adventurer's tent seeing as you'll spend most of the time going around Skyrim. My charactre's trying to remain neutral as she know there's far more important things going on and you even get accused of taking sides in the negotiations at igh Hrothgar so what's it goit to take for the kings of each province to realise that they should be fighting against the common enemy, the thalmor?
Remember kids, the best way to prevent a declaration of war is to force the messenger to do your chores for you forever first. Because no message is delivered, the war physically cannot take place. Since everyone knows it's literally impossible to attack someone without giving them advance warning.
Graphics mods names?
So, when does Balgruuf give you back the axe? =0[.]o=
Although keeping the axe means that they were at peace, it also indicates weakness by refusing a challenge.

Join the imperial. Ulfrac is actually not Good character, he's not letting the argonians, dark elvs & high elvs to enter his city. Join the empire the most.
have you ever been to windhlem? I don't think you have. Also killing innocent people for no reason and outlawing their religion is apparently better than not letting someone in a city. Your priorities are warped
The Dark Elves were already living for 200 years in that slum in Windhelm before Ulfric, the argonians aren't allowed in the city because there is no space inside it and the High Elves are already living in the city and being prosperous, so they don't enter on that discussion. Ulfric isn't racist.
@@JoseAlejandro-xc6fb Ulfric himself isn't racist. He has no trouble letting you join the stormcloacks no matter your race.
There is an argument to be made about him being negligent. After all, he is the jarl and he doesn't even mention the slums. Even after the civil war is over.
It's also undeniable that many stormcloacks are racists. But it's not like the empire is much better, letting the Elder Scrolls' equivalent of Nazis hunt down its own citizens for believing in a different god.
@@FernandoSegovia701 finally, someone with a proper argument. Indeed, many Stormcloaks are racist, but that doesn't mean that they are ALL racist.
With the negligent thing it could be true, because he should have enhanced Windhelm to be a better place. But taking that he is leading a civil war and all his focus is on that, he cannot afford to do those two things at one time, That's why he delegates the major responsability to take care the hold to Jorleif.
With after the civil war thing, it's more logic because he is now the king, his priority it would be to enhance all skyrim, all the holds and most important forge a complete army and train the Stormcloaks. Windhelm would be since then the problem of another Jarl, possibly the same Jorleif or Brunwulf.
At the end of the day people can say that some stormcloaks are racists, but saying that Ulfric is racist is dumb, you yourself say it, he doesn't care what race you are to join to the stormcloaks. He is nationalist, nothing else.
@@doomflame7418 jajajaja, true man. In Elder Scrolls EVERY race is racist, even the so "cosmopolitan" imperials. Even the same Tullius disrespect and says a lot of prejudices about the Nords during the legion sidequest.
Although i have a lot of arguments and facts to say that the Stormcloaks have to win because they can fight the dominion in the future much better than the declining Empire, it's also like you say more interesting. Imagine like a second great war with a coalition of Skyrim, Hammerfell and High Rock (and perhaps Cyrodill) against the entire dominion. And that the outcome is the victory of the humans, being Tamriel on a new age, the 5th era, with no Empire and only kingdoms around the continent, like Game Of Thrones. It would be more than interesting.
I cannot understand for the life of me how you people use these capes and cloaks mods

Genuinely though, if your feet aren't clipping through when you walk, the bottom of the cloak is glued to your feet and it looks horrendous
What's that you said? There are shorter capes without this problem?
Have you ever seen them combined with a backpack, or gear on your character? Some of the worst clipping you'll see
