    I use neem oil spray with old terry socks :D I put socks on my hands, spray neem solution on leaves or directly on socks and wipe leaves with them on both sides at the same time. It's easy, fast, not messy and wipes away dust and spider mites

    Thanks, Nora. I usually just gently wipe the leaves down with a damp paper towel. I spray down the leaves in the shower every week for my larger plants when I wet the moss poles, and every once in a while for my smaller plants. I like the idea of your pest control spray thhough. It makes the leaves look so good!

    Hi Nora! How do you predict my issues! Been struggling with mealy bugs for the past couple of months and lost some plants😭. I use the neem oil solution but haven’t tried the peppermint oil. Thanks for the tip!
    Would it be okay if I spray the top of the LECA too - since the top of the roots and the Leca seem to be infested!
    Thanks again for all the suggestions and advice!❤

    Hey Nora, I use the same method as you...take them to the laundry and switch my tap head to shower and clean away. As for pest control, I use a combination of the Rose Gun from Bunnings or Eco-oil concentrate that I have to make up myself. Was contemplating getting Castille Soap (unscented) esp for my calathea 🤭 the peppermint scent would drive my fam bam nuts 😆

    Hello Nora! Thanks for the tips. I have a question :) Would this be ok for Ric Rac cactus? From what I've researched, these aren't the typical cacti and may be more prone to indoor pests, and I'm really worried about them since its my 1st household plant. Wouldnt it be too much moisture if its added on top of normal watering routine? Thanks!

    • @TheLecaQueen
      @TheLecaQueen  Рік тому +3

      There are a lot of things that people say are good to use. However things like mayonnaise or butter have substances that clog the pores on the plant leaves and interfere with respiration, but also end up actually attracting more dust debris and eventually pests. I recommend thoroughly researching a method before using it to make sure no harm comes to the plants in the long run. I hope this was useful.
