Go to Arizona or Texas for some winter sunshine if possible. Eastern Washington gets 2-3 times the amount of sunshine Seattle gets. Visit there in the sunny spring and fall. When it rains in Seattle, head east out over the mountains for some sunshine for a day or two. Visit Leavenworth, Ellensburg, Wenatchee, Cle Elum, Yakima for some spring sun. The sunny Yakima River Canyon Scenic Area is beautiful, and gets some blue skies and warmer weather in April and May.
We moved this past year and can confidently recommend Bryce!! For us, I grew up in Europe (weather was very similar) and my wife has a sun allergy, so it works out great for us. Good luck!
The weather here in Seattle is getting worse every year. Winters are becoming longer, while summers don't really even begin until after the 4th of July and are often gone by late August. It is terribly depressing to live here. You can't ever truly adjust to this terribly boring gray sky. Just came back after a couple of months in sunny Cyprus and can hardly stand this misery of a weather.
It's very important to pick a home with lots of natural light. You'll need large windows in every room to ensure enough natural light flows in, to survive the depression inducing weather in winter
Skylights are popular there!?! Outside looking in, y'all are so cool over there. If we wanted a bit more snow or more storms, with great school within 45 minutes of Seattle, what suburbs would you recommend?

Hi, Bryce, my family will be moving to Seattle in coming July. May I kindly ask if the air conditioner is needed during summer time in Sea?

Lol they are pretty common 😄 You would want to head further east to areas like Snoqualmie and North Bend
@@livinginseattle-brycegreenleaf Thank you so much. We hope to join y'all over there one day
"survive" is a dramatic word. all you need is a puffer jacket and umbrella, and you'll be fine
