    Just replaced lifters, rockers, and one camshaft on my 2016 Caravan. Now it's time to replace the oil pump to clear that solenoid code. I wish I had seen this video before buying the oil pump. The oil pump can be removed by only removing the lower oil pan if you have the correct swivel socket. So they say.

      We didnt get the Caravan this side of the world, so cant comment on the sump, but could be. Good luck with the oil pump change, its not so difficult 💪

    Yo save me hours of my life !
    I'm a mechanic and I thought I was going to remove the engine because sometimes the rear main seal has 2 bolt that ataches the plate to the upper oil pan in parallel to the crankshaft and requires to detach the engine from the transmission.

    • @MountainmanBuildz

      The solenoid doesnt affect bad oil pressure, it burns and gets stuck. So the code is just to replace the solenoid

    • @chaselesser3191
      @chaselesser3191 3 місяці тому

      Does the oil pressure switch from low to high, at higher RPMs? Thats why there is a Solenoid, for it to switch up the pressure. But you should have Good low pressure, it would just fail to engage the higher pressure.

    How would I know it’s the pump itself? My jeep runs and drives but in higher rpms it’s acts like it wants to stall out please help

    • @MountainmanBuildz
      @MountainmanBuildz  3 місяці тому

      Do you have a code reader? You should start by reading the codes first. If its pump it will read more oil pressure faults that from the sensor on the oil cooler. I need more info to know for sure

      @@singh-zq9mh oil housing sensor is impossible to change, have to change the whole housing, but that would be a different code. Good luck, its not that bad. Cheers
