    That PMIX you can use if you have Duo steering servos set up. you won't need a Y adapter going from channel 1 to two servos for steering.

    Thank you so much for this video, it really helped me out when deciding if I wanted this or the Flysky. Your overview of the menu options, and even navigating the menu, really brings the manual into context (it was clearly written by engineers, for engineers). All the features, along with the range and the ability to run SBUS protocol really swayed me towards this radio. This video and your others will be a very helpful reference while using this. Thank you!

    Great video man! Thank you for going so far into detail on this model . I was surprised to see you had a review for the radiolink to begin with seeing as it mostly show popularity over seas with the Aussie crowd. I only wish it would have the ability for "goofy" steer. Being an ambidextrous person, some controls just feel better flipped. As always, keepi up the good spread of knowledge sir! Thanks again!

    I have one of these. I love the radio. I have six vehicles on this radio. I use it with my Losi SCTE, Associated B5M, Associated B5T, Redcat Gen8, Associated 6.1D and my HPI E10. The only complaint I have is with the receivers. They come apart very easily. Especially in my race vehicles. My solution was to take a large piece of shrink tubing and shrink it around the receiver. This stops the receiver from coming apart. I will be posting a how to on this on my page. Great video btw. Excellent channel.

  • @vansantsam
    @vansantsam 4 роки тому +1

    I never had an rc so I bought an inexpensive Redcat Dunchee Ridgerock crawler as my first RC.. Has motor on axle (2 motors), and 4 wheel steering (4 settings), this is all ok but I want to take it a step further and control the 2 motors independently (at times I may want 100% for the front and 50% from the rear - sort of drag the rear).. There is a reason for this - in climbing sometimes the rear will cause you to flip over backwards, where as if it were not powered the front would pull it up, also on decline the rear would drag with breaking more from the rear than the front.. Can this controller do all that I want.. Basically I want to be able to control both motors independently and still have the 2 steering servo's offer 1) front wheel steering, 2) all wheel steering 3) crap walk steering 4) rear wheel steering.. The included radio controller does everything except control the 2 motor independently..

    Love the videos! For more of a Basher lineup and some speed run cars (have a OutKast, Kraton, xmaxx, slash 4x4, and waiting on my infraction) which one would you recommend between this radio and the gt5? I’m so undecided between the two and can’t make up my mind. Any help would be appreciated

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  5 років тому +1

      NotSoJDM with the speed run cars I’d use this RC6GS because the gyro works well and you can adjust throttle speed, I haven’t found that feature on the gt5. The speed setting will allow you to pull the trigger and throttle will ramp up as it’s programmed. There is a link in the description to get one of these radios too.

      NotSoJDM in all honesty the RC6GS has more features than the gt5. Receivers are cheap at $16-$20 or so, so if you have 10 or less vehicles this would work for all of them.

I was trying like crazy to figure out how to put it on that momentary aux switch but can't seem to get it to fucntion the way I need it to for a winch. It seems like that switch has its own assignment for each movement IE up down and in. Which I believe may be a mixing in the radio but i can't seem to get that part worked out correctly.

      Hi, sir. Are you using R7FG receiver? You can use VR knob to adjust the gyro sensitivity or turn on/off the gyro.
      Here is the introduction of gyro function on R7FG for your reference. Gyro Introduction
      5.1 Gyro Function
      The R7FG integrated gyro for professional car drifting can be enabled and disabled. When it’s enabled, the turning stability can be maximized during competition. When there is false position, gyro function keeps the car straight forward and turn precisely.
      5.2 Gyro Enabled
      Factory setting is gyro function OFF by default.
      Short press ID SET three times with interval less than 1 second, the RED indicator flashes three times. Red LED on/off indicates the gyro function is on/off.
      5.3 Gyro Phase
      When the gyro forward is enabled, try to turn the model car to check if the gyro is correcting the wheels. Normally, the wheels should turn right to correct when the car is turned left while the wheels should turn left to correct when the car is turned right. If the gyro phase is reversed, short press the binding button (ID SET) twice in 1 second in mode 3 and mode 4. The indicator flashes once means the gyro phase setting is complete.
      5.4 Transmitter Sensitivity Adjustment
      Gyro sensitivity setting is CH3 by default (factory setting) and can be adjusted by the VR rotary switch. Percentage is displayed when sensitivity is adjusted while the bigger percentage means higher sensitivity. If the VR rotary switch/CH3 is set with other function, MODE can be changed to STD in GYRO setting of the menu to adjust gyro sensitivity with buttons Dec(-) and Inc(-). I chose to get the RadioLink RC6GS because it claimed a range of 600 meters and I am building a WLTOYS 124018 buggy with FPV so I thought this having telemetry (RSSI, battery voltage...) would be a great radio.
    My disappointments:
    1- Physical issues:
    - Radio looks and feels cheap in the hand, plastic feels flimsy, its grip is thin and has no rubber or anything, my plain simple Spektrum DX2E is by far more ergonomical, better built and feels good in the hand.
    - The DSC plug was off center which looked ugly and there was a large piece of dirt/crap was lodged under the screen glass and there were fingerprints under the glass. So, upon receipt of the radio I had to disassemble it, resolder the DSC connector on the board properly so its hole gets aligned with the hole in the radio body and disassembled the screen to wipe it properly and remove the dirt!
    2- Functional issues:
    - Most disappointing functionality lack for me is the absence of a steering dual rate knob/button. i.e. there is a steering dual rate function in the menu, but you set it and it remains fixed, there is no knob or button to adjust the steering dual rate on the go which is very important to me, during speed runs I lower the rate and when I want to do offroad, more steering is always helpful.
    - There is no Timer function.
    - The telemetry car battery voltage reading is off by 0.25 volts.
    This is sad and unfortunate and now I am looking at getting rid of this radio especially after reading a lot of forums where everybody says the same things and apparently RadioLink don't care about their customers' feedback and won't be doing anything to resolve that. Also if you watch some youtube reviews on this radio, they are all good and positive, typical of paid commercials...

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  3 роки тому

      Interesting points. But I’m not paid, not at all. I didn’t notice the .25v but I didn’t put a meter on it either. Steering dual rate isn’t something I ever mess with. If you notice in the vast majority of my other videos with faster vehicles I’m using the Flysky gt5 because of the ergonomics. The 6gs has some good features. Sorry yours have had issues like this.

    • @TU154B1
      @TU154B1 3 роки тому

      @@ExocagedRC Well I decided to get this radio after watching several reviews on youtube and all were positive except for the ergonomics thing everybody did mention that it was not great. But functionally I am getting more and more disappointed, today I also discovered one very crappy thing, it seems like the operating system of this radio was done by a beginner and somebody who is not very familiar with the hobby and actual usage. I decided to test the FailSafe function, went into the failsafe menu, kept the trigger and steering in the neutral position and saved. When I turned off the radio the car moved forward slowly!!!! Then I figured out the issue, I had a +5 set in the throttle subtrim, so in order to let the car remain OFF with the radio OFF, I needed to set the throttle position in the failsafe menu to -5!!! go figure this out, what crap is this and then what is the use of setting the failsafe with the actual steering wheel and trigger if it does not actually recalculate the needed effective position you are currently holding!!! You have to guess whether to add or subtract the subtrim value!!!! Now I would order maybe the FlySky GT5 but I am afraid I will not have enough range and it does not have telemetry! The spectrum DX5C seems like a nice radio but it doesn't even have ABS so I might pass on all the budget radios, save some money and later on buy something really outstanding having all features like a high end Futaba or Sanwa but again their problem is expensive receivers...

    The abs has a fault🤬
    Im a logical person, not crazy & dyslexic, so i Must reverse my trigger. The abs doesn't follow the trigger reverse, so when i push forwards to go forward the abs starts to work & nothing when i break.
    STM is good, its Mix, it has 3 settings Off, N & E, not sure what the 1 does maybe its straight line & turning but the other E i think, will start the abs when turning & breaking.
    IDLE UP. throttle & brake are on same servo, its to give more revs on tick over or more brake if car creeps forward.
    I did know what Accel, Sub-trim, or Alt, so thanks for that.
    Gyro, i dont know what Mix is or how it could cause nothing but problems so i keep ot off.
    The fail safe is DANGEROUS on electric, it needs to be about 2% so break works & it doesn't shoot backward as you show at 23%
    Fail safe is really a nitro thing to slam on breaks. So throttle doesn't stay open & you dont run after it & land on your face like me🤕
