I can't explain it but it's crazy how proud and good completing a part of that obstacle can make you feel after it's kicked your butt a bunch of times in the past. Something about a build you customized and tweeked yourself that finally accomplishes it really is special.
nice REVIEW BRO! I like this new RC6GS V2, that's perfect update of the SWA and SWD button !!
That was fantastic driving! Scx10iii didn't even look like it struggled
Great Info as usual! 👍🏽
That was awesome! Especially for 4.19 tires
Excellent video and awesome content across your channel man! I learned a bunch and got to see how dig works to your favor! Subscribed for sure!
Nice run
I was 1 of the first few USA ppl to try a radiolink system. When I bought the fiancee's 4 channel, & she didn't like it cause of her tiny hands, (😉 luckily!), I got it. Still using the g1 6 channel but it's time to UPgrade. The 1st of the month. Love the new software!
I didn't think clickity McClickerson would make it. That was absolutely awesome
The whole time I'm talking and getting everyone prepared for a rollover.... lol NOPE!!
Thanks Exo!
This is the radio I stock for students......best value....especially since the GT5 has been out of stock for months 😂 and now even better with the lanyard ring....we usually add our own ring and change out the 3 pos switches for two position for better differential control 😎. And a great selection of micro, gyro and telemetry receivers!
yeah there are links in the description and I'm seeing the GT5's back in stock as supplies are beginning to get back
Nice radio, even better driving.
thank you
Never did crawling, but you've shown why it's totally cool!
Awesome man
Driver mod, Awesome! Good radio makes it easier
that was drivermod with a bit of luck! LOL
You are an amazing driver
I get lucky sometimes
Calm down, calm down EXO!!!! That was sick, you finally got it. Good job. You found the secret line!!!
LOL Man that was the best part!!!
WOW, nice radio
Hi, we got your suggestion and record it, thank you ~
This right here is what i am talking about when companies freaking listen to the consumer and take a great product and push it to exceptional! Joe has widened my eyes to new and useful RC crawler products and has done more for product testing and distribution for Radiolink then you will ever know! Thank you Joe, and Radiolink, making my passion for RC crawlers obtainable economical while still supporting my entire family! Best RC channel period.
I second that, I need 3 position switch for my tekin rx4
Great video. I just got the gt5, since everyone compares both, it is disappointing, I bought both the Radiolink and the Flysky with my own money and only good thing about the Gt5 is looks and ergonomics, for everything else: radiolink; better usability and navigation through the system, more intuitive, wide range of compatible lipos, far more functions IF you need them, they dont get in the way, insane range, customizable buttons, trigger tension adjustments, all their receivers are rated for up to 10V and send telemetry back to the radio (lipo voltage, rx voltage and rssi signal strength) without any hassle for the user…
To put it simply (and Im a HUGE fan of flysky and own 4 of their radios) the Gt5 feels like it is from the 20th century compared to the Rc6gs v2…
Great job Joe awesome vid 👍💯 kick ass driving my RC brother my mouth was on the floor as I watched you do the nasty 😜 the 10-3 deserves a steak dinner it was a good boy
LOL yeah man, I was there and I couldn't believe it!
Like 6 amigo 😀👍
Love your videos! How do I set one of the 3 position switches to work a 360degree servo winch? I’d like the center position as neutral, back position to reel in the cable and forward position to reel out the cable. Thank you for all the info you provide. I hope I can get some help to get the above mentioned set up 🙂
Great drive Joe! Can you please do a video on suspension tuning with oils and springs for scalers and comp rigs? I'm new to this off-road stuff and struggling to wrap my head around suspension tuning for these things
well I can but there are an insane amount of variables with these trucks. Each truck will be a bit different.
@@ExocagedRC completely appreciate that fact. I was thinking more like general tips E.g. what you need to look for when tuning the rig with suspension - if it does this, try X Y Z to fix the problem. How to improve sidehilling. How to determine good chassis balance. What do the link positions do. Pinion angles, castor... Yea....there's a lot I don't know about these thing...😆
@@HasanIbrahim147 Heck man I'm not even sure if I know how to tune all those things lol
Nice review and great radio. How does it compare to the FlySky Noble NB4 besides it being a 8 channel?
I just bought the same radio.
Awesome review brother! Although ... not sure if I will “pull the trigger” right now! Ya Definitely have the “driver mod” set up perfect tho!!! ~;+}>
lol Driver mod was on 1000% for the Nasty!!!
Nice. I have the 4-channel version. Can you set up the Alerts in the Transmitter?
The $30 Dumbo X6 has a 3 position switch that works well
Joe you think it fairs better than our modded gt3cs just yet? I love my 8ch receiver I got for mine for 15$ which is hard to beat lol
Hey Joe I’m a scale trail/crawler and occasional basher would you recommend this one or the gt5 flysky? Thanks
Well this one has the battery telemetry and that’s an awesome thing. The GT5 has better ergonomics. If you like to drive one handed the GT5 is the way to go. If you want more tuning options and don’t mind a bit bulkier transmitter then the 6GS will work fine. They are priced about the same so your call on that.
I wish trigger throw would be mentioned and clear differences between v1 and v2
trigger throw is normal to me. the biggest difference in v1 or v2 are the buttons in the handle. Thats pretty much it.
@@ExocagedRC thanks, so it's 50/50 fw/rear trigger?
What would be nice is if you could plug in a direct power servo
I wish it allowed for button-switching of mixing modes, so there would be a way to easily do 4WS mode switching between regular/off, crab and "counterphase" (front opposite of back).
yeah going into the menu is cumbersome
@@ExocagedRC Especially as you're balancing on a side hill with one finger on the dig button, balancing throttle and steering. :)
These radios are quite nice, I really wish Futaba had a 5 channel option that didn't cost a fortune, but I'll probably go for their 4PM. 5 channels would be great to add 4ws, dig and winch to a capra. Maybe a separate remote for the winch then?
What tires are you runing in this Video ? Thx 🍻
I bought this radio but i have problem with the GYRO, it seems to work backwards🤷♂️ no matter what i do... i drive forward the car just is all over the place, i reverse it goes straight line! I already sent the buyer on ebay but im still waiting for soulution.
Do they take trade in on the old version? Only got my V1 6 months ago! Nice upgrades though, I love my RC6GS I have 4 RC's running off it and another receiver on the way.
lol I doubt it
Hi, you could ask support from us, www.radiolink.com/contact_us
“Mr. Nasty time” lol
It looks like my cheaper Futaba receivers I use with the two antennas that I use in my crawlers. I got the idea from Harley Designs. Got to give credit.
yeah most air receivers have the dual antennas, I guess it works.
Lmao made me think of the movie next Friday
do you have the 3d print file for the wheel extension? i have various radiolink transmitters and the far wheel position bothers me daily haha
Yeah I’ve printed the one handed adapter for it now
That sure is similar to the Spektrum Dx5 rugged lol! and it has the switch on thumb that u want!
can you use a winch with this radio ?
I'm looking for an all-around radio for crawling and bashing. Is this still a solid buy 8months later? Will I get alot more radio of I buy something more expensive?
Yeah its a good one also consider the Flysky GT5
Now you need to design a Crater of Apocalypse.
First of all congratulate yourself on your videos. How the SWD button is configured. Thank you
My draw dropped when the tiny tires and jeep body crossed the crack o doom also. So is v2 better than the fs-gt5 now? I much prefer the fs ergonomics, but those momentary switches and telemetry make it that much harder of a choice.
Its a closer one now, I still use the GT5 a lot but I can totally see me changing a few over to the V2 simply for the momentary and the battery telemetry.
Hi, we have already updated the ergonomic design, the handle shape is more linear and handy. The strips on the trigger increase the touching friction. Added Hook, FPV monitor holder hole, middle of the handle SWD switch, user can personalize by changing SWA to SWD.
I'm an issue. On my rc6gs Why does the acceleration lag by about 3 seconds after going in reverse?
you may need to reverse ch2, is the esc running in reverse for forward?
@@ExocagedRC Not at all. However I noticed when I accelerate, the esc blinks red and when I reverse it blinks green.
Is there a way to rain proof this receiver? Because I drive in the rain... a lot :)
Well I haven’t ever waterproofed one of these yet.
Bought a used 10.3 wrangler other day but the previous owner never hooked up the Dig. The steel shaft is there but no links. Would u happen to know what kit I need to make it work? I already bought a micro servo. It that’s all I have. Any help would be great.
If b you got the spektrum servo you’ll need the servo saver and make sure you get the spring. If it’s a different brand, there is a file on thingiverse that you can print some links or just make some.
Exocaged RC I found online a transmission mounts and servo saved set that has a spring the servo horn and a couple other links plus a little plate looking thing almost looks like a lower shock coupler. That sound about right ?

Where is the 7ch in the transmitters
These are only 6ch, kinda like the GT5 is a 6ch.... I woulda called it a GT6 but I'm not a marketing guru.
How to use it with 4WS crawler??
it has mix for 4ws
I gotta admit the first time I saw the EPA option I though it had anything to do with emissions on nitro rc models.
How would you waterproof the receiver?
On these I don’t know. I’d guess using a conformal coating of some kind would work.
@@ExocagedRC
Hey good evening, get ready for a long one here...
So I liked your review on this controller so much that I used your link for Amazon and purchased it.
I also bought that MG Chemicals urethane and did as you explained how to waterproof. Thank you! My next question is this... *When I turn my redcat gen 8 to the right then let go of the controller the wheels will not return to being straight..? If I turn the controller to the left then release, it straightens out just fine. I covered all the basics. It does this with a 20kg servo as well as a brand new 35kg. I had just put in those front husky links m4 suspension & steering links along with club 5 servo relocation - I just took out! (yeah you were right again.. I should've just made that aluminum piece you made lol) Which I think was a complete waste of time and money! I just ordered a new set of stock links because well let's just say those hollow ball sockets suck & the new ones come already in! I also broke a couple of those husky link ends there is no flex! They snap! I also installed Redcat heavy duty front & rear differential with front aluminum portal & casters.
I'm sorry for the letter here but I'm about to bang my head against the wall! My go to rc guy is so busy with work I can't bother him now. Again any help would be greatly appreciated.
Still clicks. Did the foil wear out?
Yeah it sure did.
Exocaged RC If you have any friends that work in a machine shop with access to Cnc machines maybe someone could make a new carrier shaft. Parchment paper may hold up better than foil too
Do you have email was wondering if you had any gt3c radios for sale
I have email but don't have any right now
Is the range as long as they claim? 600 meters is1,968 feet. The Empire State Building is 1,250 feet high. Seems crazy.
Can anyone here help me out with how to program my Futaba 4PM to my SCX10 10.3 ? It has the dig and 2 speed set up.
I have never messed with that radio, sorry I can't help
Exocaged RC all good I appreciate the response
hows this compared to flysky gt5?
Ergonomics are better on the GT5, this has more features than the gt5 and the battery telemetry is nice. I drive one handed most of the time and I choose the gt5 for that ergonomic reason.
@@ExocagedRC thanks for your reply ! and i thought you would have chosen the radiolink lol .
Here is what i did to my rc4gs. Thinking about doing the same or similar to an rc6gs.
