From the similar collection I had... Gmt was the worst. From wearing all the 5s, when I put it on its a fridge on my wrist. From the size and thickest it was not good. I rather take SSKO23

The challenge I found with Seiko’s is the movement are below average and unreliable. Maybe just my own experience 😞
@@adeilakramthe movement is literally advertised for plus 35 minus 45, but they usually run much better than that. But considering you can buy a new movement for about £50 or even less, i wouldn’t complain.

I love my SNXS77. Like, it's one of my favorites. But the SNXS79 always looks so slick.
The SNXL72 is my prettiest $100 mech watch. Light as a feather and the gold waffle dial is gorgeous in the light

My very first automatic watch is a SNK385K1.
After that I got SRPE51K1 and SRPE53K1.
And man: that SNXS79 looks awesome!
my very first automatic watch is one my mum got for me just today. the seiko 5 snke51k. it took me lots of consideration before settling on this watch, but the sunburst blue dial its elegant design and the rounder case shape is what sold it for me
Nice Collection! I've got the SNKL41 & SNXS79 and I absolutely love them. Swapped out the bracelets for some rolamy oyster bracelets and its a huge upgrade. I wear them way more than my $800 Maen Manhattan 37

@@siddharthkrishna759 Between those two Seikos, I think I slightly prefer the SNXS79. They are different vibes, the SNKL41 is a bit sharper/dressier and the SNXS79 is sportier. I do have some weeks where my love for the SNKL41 just comes back stronger but in the long run the SNXS79 is just so nice. I'm actually wearing the SNKL41 right now but on a different leather band, but I'll switch it back to the oyster steel band soon. The SNKL41 takes a 19mm lug width band, but I recommend using the original end links that the factory band comes with anyway because they fit better into the case. The SNXS79 takes a 20mm band, same thing use the original end links for a better fit. Since the end links are hollow, you will notice a tiny bit of rattling. To remedy this, I found a helpful tip that rolling up a small piece of clear tape(sticky side out) like a burrito but tighter and putting that in between the end link and the case will stop the rattling and make it feel much nicer, just trim a tiny bit off the end of the rolled tape so it fits better. Hope this helps, definitely get both haha! I ended up liking the SNXS79 so much I got the SNXS80(all gold one) for my bday!

The SNK355 looks classy in silver but the SNK361 has such an amazing dial.

I bought my first automatic watch and I am happy to start with Seiko. I loved the Seiko 5 Flieger SRPH23K1.
I’ve been wearing the SNKE03 for 9 months now. It’s honestly my favorite Seiko 5
I have absolutely adored my SNK381K1, didnt know it has transparent backglass nor wth automatic even was but now ive gotten so intrigued by watches and probably end up collecting some also. Your videos have been mega helpful for finding watches that i like

it's like pokemon. >.< gotta catch em all i just ordered the Seiko 5 SNK578J1 and it will be my first. I have had an apple watch forever and decided i'm over it. I look forward to one day owning a grand seiko, or a rolex but for now this one will be a great start to my collection. I decided to pick the seiko instead of a Citizen eco drive, and i think i made the right choice. The deciding factor for me was the second hand movement. I prefer the sweeping motion to the tick, tick, tick. Your content is great!

I mean you should probably move up the watch ladder instead of buying 10 seiko 5’s. I mean that’s easily $2000 worth of cheap ass seikos. While they’re great starter/fun watches, you could have purchased a watch you wanted a lot more and was considerably nicer instead.

I personally own , Rolex day date , Omega de ville , Cartier santos and few vintage watches but I still love buying Seikos/ Casios / Timex.. That's the beauty of watch collecting..it's not about the price or brand , it is about what u like nd enjoy..I m not comparing Rolex with Seiko but not everyone can just own a high end luxury watch

I wish the seiko 5s still had ISO 200m water resistance with the price they are charging for them these days.
Yup, agreed
When in your life will you ever be 200m underwater? Unless you’re a saturation diver , you will literally never need more than maybe 5m of water resistance. 100m is plenty, and will do the job for 99.9% of humans. Water resistance depths are just a marketing tactic for watch brands.

The two reasons I don't own a Reiko 5 is i cant find one i like that's not under 40 MM or has a sapphire crystal. Tiny watches look sad to me and "hardlex" is trash. Spring a few bucks more and put a sapphire crystal in it.

Seiko 5s are somewhat overhyped at this point. Majority have diver designs and the newer ones basically have the same design philosophy as a submariner.
