So. Weird unsocial question. Hmm.. Why won't single people like them, just date? Not necessarily with each other. But their community is full of single people, with whom they have excellent relationships. So, why no dating? Seem like these people would be happy with each other.
dunno if you ever got an answer for this, but I'm pretty sure it's because fans of vtubers have a tendency to get super parasocial/weird about romantic involvement w their favorite streamers (a good example of what I'm talking about is why shxtou doesn't stream with Vox Akuma anymore).

@@FaultingWires That's not as common of an issue with western fans I don't think. Some vtubers do end up publicly dating - like Nyanners and Aethel - and although I'm sure there were a few parasocial people who stopped watching, their communities have both been really supportive overall. I'd be willing to bet there are vtuber couples who decide not to make it public for any number of reasons: wanting to keep their private lives private, not wanting fans constantly speculating on their relationship, not wanting to make a public statement or deal with drama if they ever breakup, etc.
