*The two units I purchased work great. **Fastly.Cool** and air purifier perfectly this machine The filters are definitely collecting dust! I contacted Levoit directly for a minor issue, and received exceptional customer service!*
According to Philips, HEPA (the white) filter needs to be changed only once per year, others should be changed every 6 months. However, in my opinion (and as Adrian said) ALL air filters should be changed every 6 months since air purifiers meant to be run 24/7 and that will wear out the filters regardless the pollution degree at your home or in your city. Filters are only expensive in western market, look for them on AliExpress and Banggood. Might not be original but about same quality and performance with cheap price and even cheaper if you get it wholesale from Chinese stores.. only buy from high-rated sellers with good reviews of a product.
I bought one of these for 300 pounds. It broke after a year and Philips would not repair it. Be warned. Check the online reviews of Philips customer service. Amazon directs you to the Philips customer support. The support experience is terrible - they simply do not care once they have your money. Personally, I will not risk any large amounts of money on a Philips air purifier. I liked the product when it worked but they do tend to fail.
Does it filter well enough to make a noticeable difference to your reactions to allergens. How quickly can it clear the air after an exposure i.e. pollen has entered? Have you changed the filters yet?
I bought it today N I can feel the difference I believe u r from UK n things r quite good there I mean air outside is 36 is amazing Where I live it has reached 2170 ppm Bt it does took 30 mins on turbo mode to get is down to 65 I am quite happy with it
For big spaces (beyond 500sqft) blueair 500/600 series will always be the best since they take air from 3 sides and give from 3 sides, but for small rooms Philips is good enough.

I love your to the point no nonsense review strategy! Thanks. I've just bought one and am toying with it. Hope I get the same results as you have.

Hi David -
How often do you need to change the filters ? Do you find the purifier as effective as the filters get clogged ?
Thanks !

You would likely need more than 1 and should check the specs for max room purifying capacity.
This is or blue air better?
