Buy the Philips Series 800 on Amazon: amzn.to/3T41vNu If you have any questions, please feel free to comment below, and I will do my best to answer as soon as possible! 😊
It was between this and the levoit 300s for me, unfortunately it was the white version of the Philip’s 800 that was on offer, the grey one in this video has a carbon filter, the white version just has a hepa
Could you explain in detail the performance difference between the carbon and non carbon versions? I find no one addresses this point anywhere, not even Phillips itself.
I can’t find this model w/ 3 stage filtration anywhere. What I found available was the white one w/ only a HEPA filter. Is this new on the market which hasn’t been released?
I don't think they know what they are talking about, the phillips hepa filter that comes with it wayy outperforms a true hepa filter, down to 99.97% 0.003 micron, and i think hepa is just measured to 1 micron, maybe 0.1
@@AirPurifierFirst Thank you so much for your reply. I love my purifier - the smoke smell from my neighbour's wood burner comes right in to my house in every room - this little machines clears it everywhere in minutes! 😊😊
If you’ve never used an air filter these are great. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_dppjvjF8BYEmPSDTcgCUdRsgWYLXNHN I ended up with three after starting out with one. The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!
Hi Reviewer,, I have 800i ( which can connect to apps) model . is there any red light or red beam of light from the sensor at the back? is it visible when open the flip ? If not, how do we know the sensor is working
Did anyone else not know the filter was in a bag? Been running it for a week, came on here to find out how to open it up to see how much dust it had gathered. I could not believe they didn't make it more clear you had to remove the filter from it's packaging!
@@dreads9536 I'm sure there are people out there that's been using it for way longer not knowing. Like why doesn't it warn you that it's not getting enough flow?. App shows everything working as you think it would be
Hi, I just bought the Philips series 800. The original filter doesn’t have activated carbon. So can you buy a new filter with activated carbon integrated too? Thank you
Love this channel; this channel along with “Consumer Analysis”was helpful when choosing my main air purifier. Ultimately went with a Levoit Core. I would like to see a review on the LG Aerotower! The LG doesn’t have a lot of reviews online, but I really like it for my TV room. I know I could’ve gotten a “better” quality air purifier for the money, but I love the esthetics, the features & overall smart capabilities. It seems to work well for my TV room keeping PM down according to my air quality sensor. I would like to see how it officially stacks up to testing though! Also, for anyone looking at the LG, it’s sucks it doesn’t have a pre filter, and the filters are hard to find. That said the 360 degree filters on the LG and Levoit are great so you don’t have to worry about positioning
Neither device has a top-notch air quality sensor, but both sensors can detect poor air quality, albeit with less accuracy than some professional tools.
Why do you say "True HEPA" filter is so important? Apparently this uses a HEPA filter and according to Philips it filters particles as small as 0,003 microns while apparently a normal HEPA filter filters 0,01 microns according to one source?
Hi, I'm looking for an air purifier with a main purpose of removing odor in a ~20m2 studio, which one do you thinks will be the best between this one and a levoit core 300?
Hi, thaks for this video. How about the intensity of the light (button and display) in night mode? I would prefere this lights switched off, but unfortunately it is not possible as I read the description and asked Philips company..
@@AirPurifierFirst Thanks for your answer! I have decided to buy Levoit Core 200S SMART, so hopefully it was a good choice. And it can switch off its lights for the night, it was one of the main requirements for me.
Those are the colors of the air quality indicator. Blue indicates good air quality, blue-purple indicates fair air quality, purple-red indicates poor air quality, and red indicates very poor air quality.

activated carbon is used for any bad odours, hepa filter for dusts
Hi thanks for your work!
Any recommendation between this Philips and the Levoit 200S for a bedroom ?
Thank you ;)
Yes! More Philips air purifier reviews, please!
Thanks for the support!

Lol
You can buy the filter separately. Fyo293.
Thanks! lol
Is it possible to replace the existing HEPA filter with a True HEPA filter?
If so, what are the important points to remember?

Thank you so much for this video - does it matter which way up the filter goes - ie the writing to the top or bottom??😊
Thank you for commenting!
For this model, it doesn't matter.

The box says it filters viruses and bscteria, is it a false claim?
Can you please tell me can i plug out the adapter after i turn off the device from the power button my model is exact the same but with wifi feature

Hey nice review. I would be interested in the dimensions of the smoke box.
Thanks
Hi does this helps with mold smell and mold related toxics in the air?
That's what I'd like to know aswell😂, I just bhought one, when I notice a difference, i'll let it know.
@@iannoah2195 so xD ?
@@eudesduarte4048 I can't say for sure after I did cleaning, but I don't smell it anymore, I was happy with my purchase nontheless.
Hi guys, an air purifier can't actually remove mold from the walls, but It will effectively trap airborne mold spores and remove unwanted smells.

i do appreciate the video cause i wasn't smart enough to figure it out myself that the filter comes in a plastic pack.......
You aren't the only one. I have gotten many similar comments in the past years.
Hey, I had this air purifier but I lost the cable, is there any possibility of buying a new cable and how?
Hi, I just bought the Philips series 800. The original filter doesn’t have activated carbon. So can you buy a new filter with activated carbon integrated too? Thank you
yes on their website
I have just set mine up but the light is showing blue when im certain it should be red
How do you connect the air purifier to the air + app?
This one doesn't work with the smart app.

How good is the sensor? Comparing to Xiaomi sensor that seems not good.
Neither device has a top-notch air quality sensor, but both sensors can detect poor air quality, albeit with less accuracy than some professional tools.
Does it help in cleaning pet hair? Cat hair?
Yes, it does, but there are some better options you can get. For example, the Levoit Vital 200S or the Coway AP-1512HH.
Like!
Cuál es mejor, este Philips o un Levoit 300s o 200s? Gracias!

Yes, Philips filter is 100 times better then True Hepa because it filters 0.003 micron particles.
Nice test 😁👍
Thanks!
Hi, I'm looking for an air purifier with a main purpose of removing odor in a ~20m2 studio, which one do you thinks will be the best between this one and a levoit core 300?
In my opinion, whichever you opt for, you won't be wrong.
Hi, thaks for this video. How about the intensity of the light (button and display) in night mode? I would prefere this lights switched off, but unfortunately it is not possible as I read the description and asked Philips company..
Unfortunately, it can't be switched off. Some other brands, such as Blueair, offers a nightcap (sticker) to cover the LED ring, but not the Philips.

Can you add essential oils?
You can't in this one.
Among the air purifiers we tested, only the Levoit Core Mini, Levoit LV-H128, and Aroeve MK01 support adding essential oils.
Can it clean dust in the room
Yes, it can.
Notice, He did not say, how much filter Replacements are🤣
Pretty obvious that you have to turn it upside down to remove filter😂
