- Enjoy these highlights of the 1995 AFL Grand Final. In this Grand Final, Carlton took on Geelong in what turned out to be one of the most one-sided Grand Finals in history. Even though Carlton were looking to win a record-breaking 23rd game of the season out 25, the game was tipped to be close. Geelong were looking to avenge three previous Grand Final losses in the past 6 years.

Cheating the cap for years they were. If it was NRL the premiership would have been stripped from them. Even still 5 wooden spoons has been good to see, while the Cats have picked up 4 flags.
Ablett missing in this game. As he was in the other two grand finals in the 90s

Much better style (and standard?) of play compared to 2020s
They can keep on feeling the effects for another 20 years as far as i'm concerned. A few more spoons would be great to see. They were happy to bleed other clubs to play at Princes Park for years. They have always had an attitude of entitlement. The AFL era has put a stop to their domination, however it has not dampened their arrogance that much. Old Fitzroy/Brisbane supporter here, so i grew up hating them. These days they are not much of a threat to the competition at all.
It's painful as a Cats fan seeing this now. Knowing that more than likely we were not competing on a level playing field.
The current Carlton side should watch this game it’s all about running and guts and determination
If the salary cap was adhered to here the cats win . Carlton were cheating all thru this period.
This could have been one of the best grand finals of all time but instead became one of the most one sided grand finals of all time. Shame

I saw the game live from Las Vegas. Who would have thought that I took most of them back from the Shark Club to the Luxor about a week later in my taxi. The Crows were there as well but stayed at a different hotel. Great night meeting them all.

Geez! Good old Geelong going the man rather than the ball to start a Grand Final. It always worked so well for them during those years from 1989-1995. Hahahahaha! Flogs!
