He scored 8 goals for Poland in the qualification for WC 2002 (I guess that's correct) and helped the polish team alot to get into WC after 16 long years haha

I went to a Nigerian wedding yesterday, it was so fun. Reminds me why I’m proud to be Nigerian. Oh and the grooms name was mixed- blessing
Yep. They are probably the most enjoyable weddings to go to. Was there an engagement event before the wedding?
You can be proud!
You have a beautiful name and the face of a godess jesus christ

You won't be proud to be a Nigerian, if you know the what reputation the nigerians have in Ireland.
You will be ashamed to be a Nigerian.

What an informative episode, heard so many things about Nigeria that I didn't know. Oh, as a mixed-race person of partial Irish descent, I was really feelin' that flag at the end of the segment, and it was great seeing fellow biracials also of Irish heritage, Erin go Bragh! One last thing, as an East coaster, it's soda not pop, I stand by this, lol!
I love this .pls do another Ghana episode since the country has gone through many changes @geographyNow
I can explain the Bristol pound situation. It’s to encourage people to use their local shops because physical shops are starting to die out due to people opting for online shopping. I’ve never actually seen one though, and I’ve been to Bristol a few times.
Lots of love from the UK 🇬🇧
I am south african and there are people called table, lucky and gift respectively
I get Lucky and Gift, both fine names actually, but Table?
@@yllejord best name on the list. don't disrespect the table.
Excellent. Can't wait for Norway, a country I personally have visited thrice
I’ve also been to Norway once. It’s beautiful.
My guy, I love your simplicity. You have done a good job on Nigeria. Good job.
Nigeria is a bit complex. The more you look, the less you see.
I'm Nigerian and I have a class mate whose name is Goodnews Monday lol
South Africa's former minister of Human settlements, Tokyo Sexwale, is hands down the best name out of Africa
Lol I have heard of that name, it baffles me.

Lol
I've met someone called "Goodluck" before.
Also talking about brain drain, a noticeable amount of Pharmacists here in the UK are Nigerian
Yay so glad my letter arrived! I’m glad you liked the Fiji coin. You should do a video showing your currency collection and how many country’s currencies you have!
It's great to see you made corrections from ur last episode
Barbs you have shown the picture of jakarta not lagos :(
I thought it's just me lmao

Yeah,You are showing picture of jakarta
@Rashaenka Jakarta is actually more central development in Central Jakarta and Sudirman Central Business District, the high rises are mostly located there. And Jakarta is Capital City but also a provinces,so it is very huge.
This Ba Sing Se postcard is the best thing I've seen in weeks.
Oh, and happy birthday Ken!
Nice and informal now I really looking forward to next week to learn more about our Scandinavian neighbors Norway🇳🇴🇸🇪
Have you ever thought of doing Geography Now on historic empires? Like the Roman empire, the Greek city states, the Sengoku era japan with clan territories, etc.? It would make a great mini series
I'm British and I live quite close to Bristol. It's my second favourite city in the UK after London. There's an amazing German style Christmas market and loads of great museums. The library is amazing It's in this very grand building.
Great video man. Proudly nigerian
Those metal sculptures are beautiful!
Hope that the Norway episode comes out this week. Because then Flag Friday would come out on 17th of May! 🇧🇻🎉
Happy birthday Ken
LOOOL you did really well regardless of the minefield errors you prepared Nigerian viewers with.
Dear Geography now, I suggest that you make a gallery or a mini-museum out of all those souvenirs and postcards. It would be interesting and adorable. 💕 from 256 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬
That Vase is so amazing!
Did someone say Australian coins? I live in New Zealand and I have, like $2.30 Australian dollars in my bedroom. That's $2.43 NZD or $1.62 USD as of Saturday 4th May 2019.
Keep pumpin' out those videos bro, I'm loving 'em!
Happy birthday Ken!!!!!!!!
Not from my own experience specifically but my Grandfather was a teacher in both Malawi and Kenya. His favourite was the kid named "God Knows"
I visited Fiji. While I was there, I played a lot of pool at the resort. Towards the end of the stay, the height of the counts used in the pool table changed and the new coins couldn't be used in the pool tables.
Dude! You totally missed out Mark Angel comedy! They have a child actress called Success!
Hey I have the same remote control, too! (the one you see on the table)
Where did they take the freedom part?
*Top 10 questions science still can't answer*
The dictator's men took Freedom down into a dark basement and _beat him to death_ .
08:30 there are 3 different Scottish banks, all of them have their own notes designs. All three designs are on par with the English ones. And can be used anywhere in the UK. Although it's always fun using them down south, especially if one manages to get their hands on as many denominations at once as possible =]
I love the L’Etoile du Nord shirt! Go Minnesota - the star of the north!!
You've gotta have Keith do a music segment for Norway, Barbs!
FILLER WEEK IDEA: Barbs maroons Ken on an uncharted island, somewhere in the South Pacific. All Ken has to survive on...is the stuff fans have sent the channel throughout the years!
Can you do a video on Vatican City (the Geography Now series).
Nigeria: Funny names
Jamaica: hold my beer
You should do an exhibition somehow with all the stuff that has been sent to you over the years. You must have a collection a modern geography museum is jealous of.
Geografy make a video about Portugal please. I am from Portugal.
Thinking of sending a postcard when I go on vacation in November
The pic you chose for jide is MAD 😂😂😂😂😂
4:16 Hotel Nigeria Roundabout, Lagos.

Well danke you -_-
Hey, Quick fact you should know, the Nigerian Flag and the Norfolk Island Flag is so similar.
Hey barb, you use the picture of Jakarta when you said "Lagos" 😂 (it's the picture of Hotel Indonesia roundabout to be exact)
And yes, I'm an Indonesian who lives in Jakarta. That's why I recognized the picture in a split second 😎
That is not Jakarta I wish you will go to Lagos Is far better then that your Jakarta okay
@@francisnwadike9505 what are you talking about dude 😑😑😑 it's undoubtably jakarta. But yeah, I'd like to visit Lagos someday
Paul: Liechtenstein.
Ken: Liktenstein. Was that right?
Paul: Yes.
Wait....do you showed the Jakarta's CBD (Bundaran HI) area for Lagos?? Need some re-check to make sure all the pictures are in correct order next time!
Can't wait for the next episode of Everybody Loves Norway! Seriously, shortest Friendzone ever. I'll even write the script for you. "Everyone and their wife loves Norway. See you next week!"
I enjoy that Bristol got a shout out
The 'pirate accent' isn't from Bristol it's from Shaftesbury, 35 miles south of Bristol (accents change noticeable about every 10 miles in that part of England). The Bristol (or Brizzel as locals pronounce it) accent is similar but a lot softer and is closer to 'standard' English. Bristol has a long pirate past (as does the whole of the South West of England) but the pirate accent as recognised by the world results from the iconic performance of Robert Newton (from Shaftesbury) as Long Hohn Silver in Walt Disney's Treasure Island.
You should do flag Friday for the other countries that didn't get it. Like Colombia
7:30 the first geography now/louder with crowder crossover! *yay*!
The song that Paul mentions is “aux champs- elysées” for all 0 of you wondering.
Happy birthday Ken!!
I like geography and have a friend named Ken.. hmm..
Goodluck & Patience 💑
Lived in Bristol all 15 years of my life and have never seen that note lol
Yes, there are people in Nigeria called things like Divine and Precious etc. It may seem strange to outsiders but I have been told it is just a normal thingI love the Guyanese flag you have in the top left!
Without looking it up, I know that Oman comes after Norway. The reason I know this is online registration forms. Every time I have to select my country from a list, I press "o" and (arrow up). This is more efficient than typing "n", because Norway is the last of the "n"-countries, and Oman is the first of the "o" countries.
Ken do you know what part of Ireland your family comes from? My family comes from County Donegal, the most Northern Part of the whole Island of Ireland, even though it is the most Northern part of Ireland, it is in the Republic and not Northern Ireland. Also fun fact they filmed a few scenes from The Last Jedi in the town my family is from, Malin Head.
Cant wait for Serbia episode..
Nigeria really has funny names a lot are names favour, Monday, Friday and yes they do name their children names of the week
@ 4:15 Déjà vu all over again: apologies if it was not you, Paul, but I have seen this shot of central Jakarta, Indonesia used before for Nigeria. It is most definitely Jakarta though.
Ba Sing Se if from China? ... April's fools postcards edition? Jajaj
You may want to check out the Faroese banknotes, they put _insects_ on them. Faroese people are so cool.
I once had a student whose name is "Book No Lie", which literally means "Book tell no lies". I also had two brothers in the same school bearing the names "Serenity Japan" and Korea, Japan is a really intelligent kid. There was also a student whose name is "Shell Group" After Shell Group of companies. In the southern part of the country, they normally bear really long names, with consonant clusters, e.g Teremobowem, that is a really short one with too many e's, another name is Amiesimanyeofori, Ebierediseghakimifa, Woyengiinetemona
That building in the Middle East (I can't remember the country) called "The Condom" has nothing on a statue in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. I should probably send you a picture or postcard and let you guess its hilarious nickname 😂
There's a Nigerian man at my church called Okey, pronounced Okay. There's also a woman called Princess. Those are the only names I've heard.
By the way, Paul are you naturally warm and is Ken perpetually cold?
Almost all names can be translated into everyday words. In Europe we have names that mean ''man'', ''little mother'', ''shine'', ''freedom'', ''rich'', ''seventh'', ''bear'', ''farmer'' etc etc. But since they are Greek, Latin or mediaeval words, noone thinks it's weird.
I insist this mistakes aren't acceptable for the quality of the videos. Double check facts, at least the ones that get into the video. Nevertheless amazing channel, amazing hosts, editing, etc.
I hope all the Nigeria peeps out there feel happy! UwU
5:41 This city is from a wounderful series =D
My neighbour is Nigerian and she named her son Sunshine
Hm, just realized that the flag shown at 3:24 looks very similar to the flag of the Isle of Man.
"hey nice to meet you! i'm ben."
"nice to meet you! windows 95."
"what?"
"windows 95."
"...windows 7?"
You should investigate Nigerian nicknames, they are even more hilarious hahahaha
