    I’m a new resident of Minnesota and your home reflects the beauty of the state! Love your pine tree theme and views of the snow. We’re having a wonderful snowy winter…folks back East are jealous!

    Beautiful cabin, but I'd love a woodstove, esp in the snow...

    Beautiful....Might I suggest a attached table that folds down for the dining room? It would take up less space and be very functionable when needed?

      @laurareutter6928 Рік тому +1

      Yes, a Murphy table would be ideal for that wall and larger than what you have now.

    Cute little place. Perfect for a young couple but re-vist them in a couple years when they have a kid. They might need two of those little A frames.

    No space for the bikes? If you’re renting this out you need a shed asap. The floors will stain red without rugs.

    First thought was wow why is it so close to the ground- At the end video realized has about two feet of snow around it. I am now curious what safe guards you do for when snow is piled up against the side of the house and roof. For the gutter I think I would forgo a traditional eve gutter and have a ground gutter using a river rock lined drain ditch right under the eves... would help with mowing close to the house also. Possibly some bigger rocks on the house side to help block splash back from the water running off the roof.

    Such a beautiful A-Frame. Love the use of spray foam insulation. Couldn't figure out if you guys used closed cell, or open cell foam?

    Know that area well, spend a lot of time in the area. Pine River is beautiful, nice sandy bottom. Have gone down Pine River by canoe and kayak a lot from near Crosslake to the last bridge right before Pine river empties into the Mississippi. It's a great day float. Swam in a few of the pit mine lakes, can be a little scary so wear a life vest and, bring a swim mask and look over the edge, yikes!

    Beautiful little Aframe!
    I'm from northern Minnesota.
    Just wondering if you are related to Bob Funk, who was from the twin cities, although I met him in California years ago.

    The loft is too claustrophobic for me; I also need space to set a few items next to the bed (even when traveling). Also, Changing the bedding in the loft may be challenging for most.

    Is this an ad for Air BNB? I mean I could see owning something like this but for private use but you seem to be trying to sell it as a rental. I bet you have some crazy requirements for guests don't you?

    • @storyfilmproductions
      @storyfilmproductions  Рік тому

      This is mostly an ad for DEN, who sell plans for people to use and customize to build their own home or cabin.

    I love it buuuut…….having cleaned cabins before, this style is difficult. Hauling bedding, cleaning supplies and a vacuum up and down those stairs is difficult and dangerous and making that bed is a nightmare, it never looks perfect 😏 Imagine trying to get all those darn Asian Beatles vacuumed up from around that mattress 🥺 and we have billions of those dang bugs. They will freak out when we get a warm day and the sun warms that huge roof and Beatles cover the windows and are crawling out between the tongue and groove pine…..I know, because I clean them on a new big fancy lake home !
    Cleaning cobwebs from that ceiling and doing those high windows takes special equipment and someone skilled to do it, which is expensive. And heating all that open space is $$$$$ up here !
    Those stairs really limits what guests can stay there.
    And for all that building material and expense, there is a lot of wasted space and little living space. Where do guests put their luggage or their snow gear to thaw or their groceries ?
    I live over hear by Itasca state park and I can say, most vacationers prefer a cozy woodsy cabin with a wood stove or fireplace in the corner.
    It is beautiful but really not practical.
    On a positive note, they won’t have to shovel snow off the roof…..hopefully!
