I have a suggestion: play Melee with the game's screen upside down
I've done this between friends for falcon dittos. It was pretty easy after taking a match or two to adjust... however after a few hours when we put the TV right side up I couldn't play normally until the next day.

I feel like a team that practiced this could get pretty decent. Come up with terms for sections of the screen relative to you (e.g. cat could mean they're near you to your upper right, sky could mean they're mid range to your upper left) and terms to tell you how to move (e.g. car could mean you're off stage to the left) and you could probably do okay.
the biggest problem was they needed a quick word for "recover right" and "recover left". they kept being like "YOU'RE OFF STAGE" and not even saying what side. the best they did was "UP B" but that doesn't say a direction. they need a one syllable code they can scream when they need to recover left/right

Like a weekly tourney where last winner plays one stock down the entire tournament. The stock deficit accumulates between tournaments.
It would not be interesting at all. It would always be Zain > None > PP > Toph.
@@_archimedes often for sure but not always, especially with stipulations. Who’s to say it would have to be 4 stocks at 8 minutes on legal stages with their mains only anyway
@@_archimedes Zain vs None is a legit match tho Zain is clearly the favorite. If PP started competing he'd be competitive with None in a few months. It wouldn't be even, but it wouldn't be a foregone conclusion. Toph has never been a top player, so he'd have to do some crazy work to get on their level.

This actually explains a lot about Peach players on unranked.
How are they actually so bad at describing what to do? I've done this before with friends, and you learn pretty quickly that saying "Direction" for attacks and "Roll Direction" for movement is the undeniable meta.
and first word out of mouth when off stage should be upB + direction. Then the player should assume they have dj/sideB as needed and use at least one of those resources first, if possible
@@ThePharphis I actually think direction THEN up b unless it's fox/falco who have the buffer period before they move. because shouting "up b" will make them panic and up b without necessarily choosing the right direction. They should just learn "Rup b" and "Lup b"

Is it too much to ask to have the players use their actual tags as their in game names?
I think they're intentionally using Smurf accounts so they don't get matched with high level players and so the people they do play don't realize what's going on. I agree that they should provide some kind of label for the audience so it's less confusing.
