Sidney also references Meg Ryan before sleeping with Billy, wishing her life could be like one of her movies. And Jack’s Dad Dennis Quaid starred in a 70’s tv movie where he plays a phone call stalker, like Ghostface. The movie is titled “Are You In The House Alone?” Very similar to Ghostface’s popular line “Are you alone in the house?”
Little Easter egg here... Dewey mentions that he sees Sidney as as a young Meg Ryan in the OG scream. Meg Ryan is Jack quaids ( Richie Kirsch) mom. For real life
Fun fact: The reason why there is no film based off Scream 4 is because Gail didn’t write a book based on those events. And even if she had, during the opening of Scream 4 Jenny and Marnie are discussing the Stab franchise and Jenny mentions that Sydney threatened to sue if they kept using her story. So they had to change it up. So Sydney was still featured, but it was all fictional events. This also alludes to the now infamous quote by Jenny that “Sydney is all the films EXCEPT the last one”.
Is that in some alternate version? Because I just watched the Jenny and Marny scene and all she said was Sydney threatened to sue if they continued to use her story so they had to make stuff up. Then Jenny goes into how Stab 5 has time travel. Nothing about Sydney being in all of them except the last one.
It hurts me that they chose to kill Dewey, ultimately, but I agree that it was the perfect time to take out one of the legacy characters. It's been sooooo long and so many movies since Randy died, audiences would be lulled into a sense of security that Dewey, Gail and Sydney were always safe. Personally, I would have preferred Gail got taken out, but whatever. And I love how often Matthew Lillard keeps coming back to the franchise for cameos. He's such a gem of an actor.
Having these two doofus killers take Dewey out was insulting. Amber killing Dewey was just stupid. Killing Dewey off isn't the problem. It's having him die at the hands of the two lamest killers in the franchise that's the problem.
Dewey has always been my fave character so ofc i was so sad to see him go, but the main problem i had with his death was how stupid it was. like it was heroic but stupid. i mean he had his gun pointed right at the killer, then he gets a call (or was it an alert? idk but something from his phone) and he proceeds to look down at it, causing him to be distracted and vulnerable when the killer launches themself at him?? Dewey has been through these rodeos multiple times by now, he'd know that if you think the killer is dead they're never actually dead, and to not turn your back on the killer. but his death was "oops he got distracted!" like no, that's just not believable to me. they could've done it so much better, like maybe Sydney is abt to be attacked but he jumps in at the last second, getting stabbed while encouraging her to escape or something like that. would've been much more heroic and emotional that way
@@moonlight_dulcet That would have been a much better choice. Dewey getting distracted makes it look like he hadn't done this multiple times before and survived. A heroic sacrifice would have been much more in character. He was always trying to save Sidney partly because he didn't have a chance to save Tatum. To go out doing that would have been a LOT more satisfying.
I find it funny how Angelina had no wound where she is stabbed, she had 'blood' but we all know blood isnt always blood in Scream, then in the official booklet thingy she's excluded from the list of killed victims in Scream 3, to be clear: Roman is on the list but Angelina is not.
About Angelina: I firmly believe she was not only Roman's accomplice but also that they faked her death. While Roman was otherwise occupied, she could've easily just run away. Roman was likely expecting Angelina to already be in the screening room, which is why he made sure Sidney went in there. She was the type of character to run away from the consequences of her actions.
@@paulcarpenter7844 My thinking is that Roman was able to convince her to help him, but once the reality truly set in for her, she got too scared she would either get caught and/or die. As far as after, who knows? Maybe she saw the error of her ways and decided to make a life for herself completely distanced from her life as Angelina. They thought she was dead. So, she just went on with her life. Maybe someday, we'll see her again, but I doubt it.
@@screaminbloodymurder I mean, how do we know for sure? She wasn't in the RIP section of the booklet in the trilogy box set. While that was likely a mistake, it still supports my theory (and it's not just mine). While I don't think Stu is alive, I'm not counting her out just yet.
@nailsarelife. Plus she plays Sidney whose mother was in bunch of horrors before running away from Hollywood and starting a new so be a nod to real Sidney's mother by having fake Sidney so something similar
@@LevitheLegend I think it was chosen because it is a VERY popular street name in the US. Most cities have one, so it makes the story seem close to your home and more scary.
I met Rose McGowan at the New Orleans fan expo 3 weekends ago, she was super nice, I got a photo off with her and I got an autograph picture of Tatum Riley from her. I told her that I was on the autism spectrum and Rose told me that she herself is on the Spectrum as well, that's cool. I asked her questions about her time on screen and the character of Tatum, she said that Tatum Riley was her favorite character in her film career and she enjoyed being on set And I asked her about the #10 white football jersey themed crop top Tatum wore, how long is like to bring up it's a reference to Glenn from the original Nightmare on Elm Street but Rose McGowan told me that there was another meaning to the jersey, At the scene where Sidney was at home after school and she was talking to Tatum about staying at her place for a week until her dad got home and Tatum said she'll pick her up after practice, a lot of fans speculated that Tatum was at cheerleader practice, but Rose actually told me that Tatum wasn't on the cheerleading squad, she was on the football team, Rose told me that she herself isn't personally a football fan but the character of Tatum is that kind of girl that would do guy things to show female empowerment, and that Tatum was actually that one girl on the football team in Woodsboro High That's my experience meeting Rose McGowan 😊
I always figured it was track or soccer practice. Tatum never really gave me cheerleader vibes. She's not super peppy. Football is kind of cool, though. I could see that.
You forgot the hint for Billy and Stu being the killers in the first scream when Billy is turning up radio as he is talking to Sidney about watching the Exorcist on Tv in order to prevent Sidney from hearing Stu knocking out and kidnapping her father
@@davidgarrido5506 I thought there was one other moment too, it's been years since I last heard people talk about it but it was the main thing people used as a "Roman was there all along" theory.
stu's sweater in scream is very similar to ms. voorhees in friday the 13th. when he says "surprise sydney" it makes the connection to a shock twist a la friday deeper. i really hope they bring back Stu in the new film. all the clues are there that he didn't die it would be so clutch!!
You probably covered this but the 1st killers used 1 hand while stu used 2 hands to kill. Scream 2 the one is left handed while the other is right handed...
You missed a poster in Scream 3. When they are watching Randy's tape....to Randy's right (our left) on his wall is GHOST art by Adam Hughes. Randy is in essence a man speaking from beyond the grave to explain horror trilogies...so in essence we are listening to a ghost.
I work in the graphics department in movies and shows and here is some further behind the scenes context for some of these things below: 1) The names of the crew everywhere is a very common practice. I've used my name many times; this is for two main reason. The first is legal issues. The clearance department tell us to either use names of the crew members or use names with abbreviated surnames such as John S. . This is for background stuff and some props. If a name is scripted then we are ok to use. All the names we use have to approved by the clearance team to avoid possible law suits. The second reason why we use crew names is because we get to be in the movie and it's always fun to see it. 2) Sometimes easter eggs are just coincidental. Sometimes they are not. Only the set decorator, set dressers or graphic designers will be able to tell. But don't be surprised if the reason why something is in the background is simply because something was needed in the background and not because of some hidden meaning or clue. That being said, any real poster, image, brand or song used needs permission from whoever owns the copyright and not getting that permission is reason for a lawsuit. Usually, to avoid that sort of thing we come up with fake bands and fake movies and design posters for them (and all this fake stuff still needs to be approved by the clearance team). So the fact that they went through the trouble of getting permission to use some of these posters is telling that they were probably meant to be there for a purpose, whether it's product placement, sponsorship or an easter egg. 3) The reason we only have one photo of Sidney with her mom is probably because it's really hard to get actors to do a photoshop due to their schedule. A lot of the time we have to photoshop their faces on stock images of other people or sometimes we have to photoshop them together if they could't take the photos on the same day. Another reason is that some actors just don't give a damn and simply won't do a photoshop because they think they're above it which is obviously annoying. I think Neve and the actress who played her mom probably did not have a lot of time together so they had to make it happen when they could. The same thing happens with the photo of Dewey and Gale in the new Scream movies, which is their personal photo as a real life couple. We only see the same one probably because they'd feel uncomfortable sharing more personal photos or just didn't want to provide with more different ones.
Sidney saying "it's like Deja Vu All Over Again" wasn't her misusing the saying because it's an actual saying. It's a famous quote and has been used in music and in Television. The quote has even been used to name episodes of TV shows. The same goes for Gale saying Deja Voodoo because it's been used in other media as well. So they never misused or misspoke because they said what they were meant to say. Deja Vu, it's like Deja Vu All Over Again, and Deja Voodoo are 3 separate sayings.
There are several references to Sharon Stone in the franchise. 3 references in Scream and one in Scream 3 with Sidney’s use of an Ice Pick against Roman- I’m assuming the references were made bc Sharon Stone’s first major film role was in Wes Craven’s film “Deadly Blessing”
Technically I Know What You Did Last Summer wasn't inspired by scream. It was also written by Kevin Williamson and even though it was released after Scream Kevin based it on the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan. That in turn was one of the inspirations also for Scream. Lois Duncan is such a underrated author. She also wrote the books that became movies for Kiling Mr. Griffin and When the Bough Breaks. Also I love that you point out that a movie can be satire and not be a comedy. I was a teenager when these movies came out. I saw the original Scream in theaters. I have always loved the horror genre. And I can tell you in the 90s when these movies was released the word satire in everyone's mind meant movies like Scary Movie and later Not Another Teen Movie. The word satire in American vocabulary in the 90s never meant anything that wasn't a comedy. The fact that a comedic satire film of Scream solidified that a lot of the audience missed the satire in the orginal movie. Even when it was staring them in the face with what's your favorite movie and Randy's rules. Good job CZ for pointing this out!
even recently, as well, I've noticed people not realizing that cabin in the woods was a satire - and that movie was hilarious! yet I still saw people taking it as a literal horror movie
I cannot be the only one who sees the parallels between Stu's "death" here 13:42 and Jennifer's death in NoES 3? She dreams of being a TV star and has her face smashed into a TV (with Freddy uttering the now iconic line. A line that is the only time Englund improv'd as Freddy.) Conversely, Stu wanted to be with Sid (maybe?) And has a TV smashed into his face, with Sid saying, "In your dreams!" Solid movie death rhyme by Wes.
@CZ’sWorld, one of the sneakiest callbacks is in Scream 3 when Sidney stabs Roman with an ice pick. In Scream 1 when Tatum says the killer could easily be a woman, Randy says “that was an ice pick, not exactly the same thing”. While Sidney did stab Roman with an ice pick, it wasn’t exactly the same thing because she didn’t kill him. I might be overreaching here, but I thought that was a cool callback.
One major thing I don’t like about the new Scream reboots is the way they’re tackling the underlying theme of “Sins of Our Parents”; in Sidney’s case it’s her mother, and with Samantha it’s her bio father. The entire point of Sid’s storyline is that she didn’t deserve to have to face the blame that Billy put on her over their parent’s infidelity, and yet she did. But for Samantha, there’s some attempt to go the same route of not deserving the ghost of being Billy’s daughter… but then the storyline revels in telling us that she does, actually, and she’s exactly like him. And while they try to stumble through the parallels by showing her using the things she learns from Billy’s ghost for the “right side”, it nukes every valid point that they previously made in Sidney’s parallel character arc.
I don't like the last two movies for a lot of reasons, but that is definitely part of it. The Carpenter sisters are super annoying, but the rest of the new characters have some potential. The whole "Billy's ghost" thing is really stupid and it was an insult how they had Amber kill Dewey.
Little tidbit I love. Yes Last Podcast on the Left is a reference to Last House on the Left. It is also a legitimate podcast that has been running for the last decade. You should take a listen if you dont already ❤
I've read movie trivia about Scream 2 that suggests the original killers were supposed to be Derek & Hallie, but the script was leaked, so it was re-written & Mickey became one of the killers.
As on board as I am for a Stu reprise, don't you think everyone involved would know if he was still alive? His trial would have been all over the news. They would have seen him being brought out alive when the cops showed up to the house at the end of Scream. I just don't know how they could make him being alive still a surprise to everyone
The only way they could possibly make it work is if he was in a coma for the first 3 or maybe 4 movies. Then woke up sometime before the 5th. Between the physical and mental toll this would take on a person and having rich parents who could help fake medical records, this could give him the time he needs to recover and get better(the parents making it seem like he's not and is basically infantile). The fact that so many killings have happened since allowed him to get lost in the background. He then being behind the last few would make since.
I believe another reference here is that Detective Bailey's actor (Dermot Mulroney) was the father of the protagonist in Insidious 3, whose name was Quinn.
1:56:09 Sam's date of birth is May 19th 1997, which in 2006 is the release date of See No Evil, and before the movie's release, in WWE storylines, Kane (performed by Glenn Jacobs, the actor that plays Jacob Goodnight) is triggered by the date of May 19th, and in some theories why Kane was offended by that date is that on May 19th 1997 is the day in WWF/E that Paul Bearer started bringing up a secret that he and Undertaker knows that he uses to blackmail Undertaker with, that secret was the origins to lead to Kane's WWF/E debut
I think the bottom vhs tape is Pump Up the Volume which stars Christian Slater as a radio DJ who disguises his voice as to not be recognized by his classmates
Fun fact Scott Foley, Roman Bridger himself, is in that episode of Dawson's Creek Tara is watching in Scream 5, you even caught him in the clip you used. The second VHS tape next to Randy looks like Pump Up The Volume.
Honestly, the regular letter M in all the Scream titles looks like it has a Roman numeral V in it already, so I think that's why they sort of skipped making it obvious.
BTW...1, Drew Barrymore was supposed to be Sidney and Neve was supposed to be Casey. 2. Drew went to Wes Craven saying, "I want to switch to Casey, I think it will be a good idea to kill me off" 3. The nightmare on Elm St line was improv by Drew, yes, Craven didn't write it but thats why. 4. Yes, the "Wes Carpenter" line as director was done on purpose. 5. The comment about the Stu and the knife, Craven did this all on purpose so when u re-watch it u can see who is killing who. Also, on the very first VHS after the film there was a "filmography" aka behind the scenes part where Wes & Crew tell everyone this. If anyone reading this doesn't know what a VHS is go ask ur parents lol. 6. Yes, Under The Stairs was a reference and done on purpose.
You still didn't catch Stu saying kill you cuz school is out in plain sight He said "Kizoo cuz Skizoo Is Uu" He confirmed it in a conversation i had with him. Also Billy talks about how he was watching The exorcist but all the good stuff was cut out and he was thinking of Sydney He's referring to cutting out Drew. He also blinks twice every time he lies to the sheriff about not killing anybody
The head in the fridge at the beginning of Scream 6 is likely an homage to the beginning of Friday the 13th part 2, where Alice finds Ms. Voorhees' head in the fridge. Also, 5-cream cured my hemorrhoids.
Great video. It was so easy to watch through til the end. Also, what about the reference when Sidney kills Stew with the TV13:45. She says in your dreams. Remember that girl in Nightmare on Elm Street 3. She falls asleep on the sofa and Freddy ends up slamming her head into the TV. "Welcome to primetime bitch" lol. Classic.
I gotta correct you on one thing. The Last Podcast on the Left reference is not (solely) a reference to the Last House on the Left; there's a literal podcast called Last Podcast on the Left that talks about true crime, UFO stuff, horror stuff and the like.
Always thought when Sid pushed the tv on his head it was an Easter egg to Nightmare on Elm street 3 when Jennifer got her head smashed into the tv in the dream world
If Stu is alive and in prison rather than alive and missing presumed dead, he wouldn’t return. You can bet that he’s got a life sentence if not death penalty. Unless they decide to throw all logic totally out the window and say he escaped prison and don’t put Sidney on high security watch for her protection of her attempted murderer
Well that makes sense that he wouldn't be able to get out but our justice system does let murders out early especially if they're teens tbh there's alot of murderers walking around free now after spending like 25 years in jail
@@Iamyoursunshine0006 No way Stu gets out of jail early for those murders. Yes minor offenders who are tried as juveniles have different punishments but the likelihood of Stu being tried as a juvenile for these obviously premeditated and brutal murders is nil. I mean around the time of Scream's release there were kids as young as 12 being tried as adults in U.S. courts.
Not sure if anyone already pointed this out nor if it was an intentional reference, but notice how Derek’s shirt kinda resembles the same shirt Billy Loomis’ wore as we first saw him climbing thru Sidney’s window
Yeah a redherring. Alot of the killers in the films wear something similar. Scream 4 and 5 plaid blue shirts to make u think oh they can't be the killers would be to obvious coz they are wearing nrly the same clothes. Even if ur not a scream fan, u cannot say that these films aren't bloody cleverly done. (Not saying u aren't a fan, just saying that I think they are amazing anyways without all the little details)
Here I was,, sitting at home at a saturday evening wondering what film I was going to watch this evening.. To my beautifull suprise CZsWorld drops a 2 hour video! Evening sorted
Samara Weaving played Grace in Ready or Not and there is a Grace in the crowd in the subway in Scream VI. Samara Weaving is also the teacher who is killed in the opening of Scream VI.
Something I never hear people mention, is how the Billy fake death scene doesn’t make any sense. From a fan perspective, it’s a great twist, but doesn’t make a lot of sense. Both of the killers were alone in the room with Sidney. Could’ve just finished the job right there lol. I get it, it’s just a movie. Just thought it was an interesting observation!
Love your content! And I learned Ethan’s costume at the party is from the 2007 movie “Murder Party” while before learning this I thought he was dressed as Blunder from Ridley Scott’s “Legend” who turned out he was an imposter just like how Ethan was an imposter
fun fact cz • the mojo jojo costume isn't just a 90s reference....the one & only roger l. jackson (ghostface himself) also voices mojo! completely random fun fact but the actor •clancy brown• voices mr. krabs. every time i see him now (recently in gen v) i can't help but giggle a little
one that I never knew if it was intentional, but I like to think it was - Sidney saying "in your dreams" to Stu before smashing the tv into his face parallels Nightmare on Elm Street Dream Warriors "Welcome to primetime b*tch!"
They didn’t just show Mojo Jojo cause of their “90s roots” the voice of Ghost Face Roger Jackson also voices Mojo Jojo in The Power Puff Girls. Come on Zack!
I dont think you remember how house phones like that worked. She would have had to hung up for the ring to happen out loud. Notice you even showed that the parents could hear her from the other landline. Because she never hung up. The sound after happens after the phone was off the hook to long. just wanted to explain why the killer could not call the phone to find her. Love your videos tho
In Scream 5 you can hear that Ritchie is actually watching the first Scream movie in the hospital. You can hear the audio of Casey hitting Ghostface when he is on top of her.
The video tapes in Scream 5 at the party, the blue one that you couldn't identify I would swear is "Pump up the Volume". Not sure what it has to do with the house, or the scene, but I've owned it on both VHS and DVD and the side made this move instantly stand out.
Yes, I think you're right.👏🏼 I thought it was something else but I pulled up the image on Google and it looks exactly like it. Maybe the tie in is the fact that "Pump Up The Volume" is a New Line Cinema movie. As in, The House That Freddy Built, New Line Cinema. 🤷🏻♀
You're telling me I have to live the rest of my life knowing that there was an alternate ending of scream 3 that stars Matthew Lillards Stu as the second ghost face? I think I was happier not knowing.
Fun fact, at the end of the movie when Sidneys dad falls out of the closet, if you slow mo the footage, you could see someone's hand push him out of the closet.
Some guy: "And I'll be back when you guys start talkin' about somethin' a little more Saved By the Bell-ish." Zac: "Welcome to Things You Missed. I am Zac Morris." Me: Okay-- that had to be intentional. 😀
At one point during that subway scene, leaning against the wall, there's a dude dressed up as Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. Would recognize that suit, tie and raincoat from a mile away.
Piggybacking off what you said about The Indigo Girls and the "Power of Two" point, I noticed that Billy literally points at the poster on Sid's wall (finger guns), as if either Skeet made a conscious acting choice or subconsciously was...giving up the Ghost...(omg). Anyways, that coupled with the alleged DEEEPER subject of the original original script kinda makes that little moment a very fascinating example of human behavior and psychology :)
I often catch myself think "who does this dude remind me of?" turns out he's a real life Randy - a movie geek through and through - so I guess now my mind is at ease. You're killin' it dude! Keep it up 💪🏻
I’d also like to point out that Mojo Jojo is voiced by Roger L. Jackson who is the voice of “Ghostface”. So there’s 2 connections to the Mojo Jojo costume in Scream 6.
The “Deja vu all over again” line is a famous quote by baseball’s Yogi Berra who was known for making weird redundant and nonsensical statements. It’s a famous quote.
Scream 2022 writers probably: "ok guys. Get this. We do EXACTLY the same movie again, basically shot for shot. But this time, and this is the genius part, RANDY IS A BLACK GIRL."
Fun fact: In the first movie after the talk about the party between Sid, Tatum and Stu, he actually does this excited move which really looks as if he was stabbing someone.
i noticed how Billy appeared emotional and begging Sidney to believe that it wasn’t him who attacked her in while he was in the police car but then as the police car drives away you can see him appearing to be smiling
17:49 im almost positive thats Neve on the Scream 2 poster next to Jada, NOT ASarah Michelle Gellar. But the point still stands on a poster girl dying first.
Another fun little detail about how Stu cleans off the knife at 13:30 is Matthew Lillard repeated this very specific move recently in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie.
They would never have been able to commit the murders on the one-year anniversary if everybody's parents were not out of town on business who do the parents work for the same company
Everybody is always commenting on how unbelievable it is that the winsteins allowed the whole "casting couch" plot but it makes sense. Milton CLEARLY explains how it's always been that way and nobody is being forced to do anything. To which, Harvey definitely reacted, "Yeah, Exactly!"
in your dreams could be a ref to nightmare on elm street 3 dream warriors where one gets killed by the tv also in scream they mention meg ryan in scream 5 her son jack is in it the next generation
Randy didnt just call out the killer in scream 1. He also did in scream 2 when talking with duey but they get side tracked because randy said that would make him suspect too.
"That's a redundant statement." It's a reference, actually. Also, can't help but feel the first dig at Tori Spelling was a reference to "Death of A Cheerleader," one of those Based on a True Story tv movies in which Tori Spelling played a highschool girl who was stabbed to death by one of her classmates.

FYI: Sid’s address WAS mentioned in Scream 1… when she’s messaging 911 on her computer, she types her address being on Elm st. Very quick shot.
Yeah that’s a little teaser to nightmare on elm street
Yes! And Tara opening scene scream 5 said "It was Sidney Prescott and she lived on elm!"
I remember that and thinking "That's Freddy's street" which is ironic because I live on Elm Street 😂
@@LevitheLegend don't fall asleep!
@@LevitheLegend I think it was chosen because it is a VERY popular street name in the US.

I asked her questions about her time on screen and the character of Tatum, she said that Tatum Riley was her favorite character in her film career and she enjoyed being on set
And I asked her about the #10 white football jersey themed crop top Tatum wore, how long is like to bring up it's a reference to Glenn from the original Nightmare on Elm Street but Rose McGowan told me that there was another meaning to the jersey,
At the scene where Sidney was at home after school and she was talking to Tatum about staying at her place for a week until her dad got home and Tatum said she'll pick her up after practice, a lot of fans speculated that Tatum was at cheerleader practice, but Rose actually told me that Tatum wasn't on the cheerleading squad, she was on the football team, Rose told me that she herself isn't personally a football fan but the character of Tatum is that kind of girl that would do guy things to show female empowerment, and that Tatum was actually that one girl on the football team in Woodsboro High
That's my experience meeting Rose McGowan 😊
I literally was in love with her
@@paulcarpenter7844 Cool
I always figured it was track or soccer practice. Tatum never really gave me cheerleader vibes. She's not super peppy. Football is kind of cool, though. I could see that.
Cool story but we didn’t need to know you’re autistic.
ok why the fck did you even tell her you are on the autism spectrum? like why should she care fcking soab seeking attention from celebrities
The dedication it takes to post quality like this is insane
You forgot the hint for Billy and Stu being the killers in the first scream when Billy is turning up radio as he is talking to Sidney about watching the Exorcist on Tv in order to prevent Sidney from hearing Stu knocking out and kidnapping her father
For real life.
As far as I've heard there's no proof of that one being true, just quality speculation
Wasn't there one moment in Scream 1 when Ghostface is visible but both Billy and Stu are accounted for, or otherwise incapable of being at that place?
@@ArlanKels
Yes that was the bathroom scene where a prankster ghostface was waiting to scare people
@@davidgarrido5506
I thought there was one other moment too, it's been years since I last heard people talk about it but it was the main thing people used as a "Roman was there all along" theory.
stu's sweater in scream is very similar to ms. voorhees in friday the 13th. when he says "surprise sydney" it makes the connection to a shock twist a la friday deeper.
i really hope they bring back Stu in the new film. all the clues are there that he didn't die it would be so clutch!!
Weren't they going to do that in 3 and then scrapped it because of Columbine? That's what I've always heard
@@melrenee5416 yes that was correct
You probably covered this but the 1st killers used 1 hand while stu used 2 hands to kill. Scream 2 the one is left handed while the other is right handed...
The scream 2 theory about Stu telling the stab team what happened is solid. I firmly believe Stu is alive. Might be the only way they can save 7.
I hope, I was hoping his scream easter egg in the fnaf movie was a hint.

You missed a poster in Scream 3. When they are watching Randy's tape....to Randy's right (our left) on his wall is GHOST art by Adam Hughes. Randy is in essence a man speaking from beyond the grave to explain horror trilogies...so in essence we are listening to a ghost.
Wow good catch!
One of the harder parts to watch was seeing Randy's post mortem video when he said I'll see you soon
My heart hurt when Randy died, dude! 😢 The best part of the revamp was when he reappeared via Classic Randy Style.
I work in the graphics department in movies and shows and here is some further behind the scenes context for some of these things below:
1) The names of the crew everywhere is a very common practice.
Thank you so much for sharing!
That scene where billy drops the phone… the boots also gave him away.
Right
Sidney saying "it's like Deja Vu All Over Again" wasn't her misusing the saying because it's an actual saying.
I was also so impressed. I hadn't even considered that.
@thestreakingninja lol yea but I'll give that a pass. I absolutely love Cabin the Woods!
What Wes Craven did to Harvey Weinstein was EPIC!!!

The Mojo Jojo cameo is for the guy, Roger L. Jackson, who does the Ghostface voice. He also does the voice for Mojo Jojo in the Powerpuff girls
I totally caught that reference because I used to watch the Power Puff Girls when I was a kid.
I absolutely love the people under the stairs and never noticed the poster! Love this channel too!
Sarah Darling was a parallel to C.C./Casey Cooper/Sarah Michelle Gellar…NOT Tatum Riley. Sarah is even dressed like C.C.

What I loved most about Scream was how the killers always got their asses kicked before finally making the kill.
You still didn't catch Stu saying kill you cuz school is out in plain sight
He said "Kizoo cuz Skizoo Is Uu"
He confirmed it in a conversation i had with him.
Also Billy talks about how he was watching The exorcist but all the good stuff was cut out and he was thinking of Sydney
He's referring to cutting out Drew. He also blinks twice every time he lies to the sheriff about not killing anybody
Literally "source? Trust me bro"
River’s name in Sam’s contacts is for her costar Mickey Madison’s movie called All Souls. Mindy is sitting next to a poster for All Souls in Scream 6

I gotta correct you on one thing. The Last Podcast on the Left reference is not (solely) a reference to the Last House on the Left; there's a literal podcast called Last Podcast on the Left that talks about true crime, UFO stuff, horror stuff and the like.
Always thought when Sid pushed the tv on his head it was an Easter egg to Nightmare on Elm street 3 when Jennifer got her head smashed into the tv in the dream world
Well that's the point for Roman... If they cancel the movie he loses access to his targets he needs them there
If Stu is alive and in prison rather than alive and missing presumed dead, he wouldn’t return.

1:17:40, you say Billy killed Sidney's father, when he actually killed Sidney's mither
one that I never knew if it was intentional, but I like to think it was - Sidney saying "in your dreams" to Stu before smashing the tv into his face parallels Nightmare on Elm Street Dream Warriors "Welcome to primetime b*tch!"
Also its called scream, referring to the victims screaming, but the reaper mask's mouth is in the form of a permanent scream
The Ghostface mask was based on the painting "The Scream" by Edvard Munch.

I’d also like to point out that Mojo Jojo is voiced by Roger L. Jackson who is the voice of “Ghostface”. So there’s 2 connections to the Mojo Jojo costume in Scream 6.
"I always had a thing for you Sid" is a reference to Serpico.
Al Pacino's character says it at the end of the movie.
The “Deja vu all over again” line is a famous quote by baseball’s Yogi Berra who was known for making weird redundant and nonsensical statements. It’s a famous quote.

Uhhhh…In Halloween, Bob does not leave the van door open. He closes it with his foot as he’s carrying Lynda.
I also think Angelina was the 2nd killer and is still alive. She and Roman's son should be the killer in Scream 7.
Fun fact: In the first movie after the talk about the party between Sid, Tatum and Stu, he actually does this excited move which really looks as if he was stabbing someone.
The first victim of Scream 6 was Samara Weaving from Ready or Not, and her costume was in the subway scene.

I think David Arquette didn’t want to do Scream anymore. Also accomplishes killing an OG. The M in SCREAM in S5 could be seen as a V
i noticed how Billy appeared emotional and begging Sidney to believe that it wasn’t him who attacked her in while he was in the police car but then as the police car drives away you can see him appearing to be smiling
To which, Harvey definitely reacted, "Yeah, Exactly!"

also in scream they mention meg ryan in scream 5 her son jack is in it the next generation
Randy didnt just call out the killer in scream 1. He also did in scream 2 when talking with duey but they get side tracked because randy said that would make him suspect too.
"That's a redundant statement." It's a reference, actually.
