Regarding the neo-nazi from Election Year: The flag tattoo is also facing the wrong way. Flag etiquette instructs that the flag should be attached with the header side (star side) facing the pole. It signifies that the soldier will be running toward danger (thus blowing the flag away from them as if on a pole). I think it hints he's either unaware (so a poser patriot) or a coward.

The Thompson submachine gun (also known as the "Tommy gun", "Chicago typewriter", "Chicago piano", "trench sweeper", or "trench broom") is a blowback-operated, selective-fire submachine gun, invented and developed by United States Army Brigadier General John T. Thompson in 1918. They were used by federal law enforcement officers, gangsters, and even elite commandos, gangster only used them as a gamgland weapon ( reportedly) around 1925. Thd 1920s was called "The roaring 20's" bc the decade was characterized by economic prosperity, rapid social and cultural change, and a mood of exuberant optimism. The machine gun itsself was invented in 1884, Hiram Maxim built the first effective machine gun, which revolutionized warfare. The first Gun was made in 1607. But im historical its the Chinese in the 10th century fire tube since it used gun powder ( which they invented in the 9th century) to fire a spear out of a tube.

48:46 there is a theory that violence breeds ignorance. That a society who always fight; itself or others, don't progress and can regress in their technological standings because those with the knowledge to make what is being consumed is also the type of people who are on the lower end of society; most likely targets of purge. This could lead to a regression in their knowledge due to breeding traits.

Don't forget, the flowers are LITERALLY called "Baptisias", as in Baptism. Like how one is baptized at church, I was as a teen, my church sees it as a commitment that needs to be made by a person for themselves, so while they do baptize babies, they want you to do it again when you're old enough to choose for yourself, and the earlier baptism is seen as faithful protection from your parents until you're old enough to decide.
But with THIS context, I think of "baptism by fire".

How is it a cult if you are given the choice to do it or not? He's doing this new trend of compilations which has taken off this month due to the rumour that past videos will get deducted adsense money from them (starting from 5 years ago creations/video).
Even though this is just a rumour, creators/YTubers are compiling all their past videos to combat this nullifying of their monetisation by YT. (yet more reasons to go to rumble and other video sites for creators that have (as I know anyway) in perpetual adsense money from all their videos past and present)

@@METALFREAK03 Even if that rumour turns out to be false, reuploading the old videos into one newly published one will probably bring in more views than the older ones are likely to generate on their own for the creators too. I do feel like the commentary on guns is pretty lazy with this considered. The reason our rights are protected under the Constitution is because they make it possible to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government, foreign and domestic. Self-defense and hunting are symptomatic of this key principle. The alternative to having our right to keep and bear arms is the inability to protect ourselves and rely on our government to encroach on our other rights, ultimately leading to tyranny and genocide. This has been reflected upon in history multiple times. Germany, China, North Korea, and in small steps we're seeing Australia being unable to stand up to its own government.
A land of no laws is civil war. The reality is, our country does have laws, rights, and law enforcement. This movie more or less goes to show the outcome of unregulated violence and what would happen if we never confronted our government as a unifying country, essentially a network of state and local government enforced by federal government to neglect its responsibility to protect and serve. This would never be the case, as state and local government has a stronger connection to their home and would never enforce these types of toxic orders by the federal government.
It's a propaganda movie riddled with inconsistent logic clouded by fantasy unfortunately used to fear monger "gun violence" when the statistics used by the left are stuffed with suicides, casualties due to accidents, gang violence, and self-defense. Mass shootings and criminal homicides being less than 20% of this "gun deaths" statistic that the left glitters over everything while not comparing our numbers with other countries that have gun restrictions and high poverty rates such as Mexico and Brazil.

I am intrigued by The Purge movies. Unfortunately it is too easy to blame the Right for their love of guns, etc. The Purge really exposes so much more than a Left vs Right issue. I understand the creators for their focus on common themes, however, in 2024 people should really pay attention to who contributes to who is fueling the fire of weapons and war. It is NOT one side. It is both and that is truley terrifying. Look up who holds stock in weapon manufacturers today. Left and Right politically oriented politicains actually make a profit.

I agree, due to the media people only see a certain demographic that own firearms when lots of us who are on the left and not of that demographic own guns. The Black militant group in the Purge: Election Year reminded me of the books such as "The Deacons For The Defense" and "Negroes With Guns". Which are never taught in school for some reason. It is definitely a class issue more so than Left or Right. I notice people will tow the party line without thinking critically regarding certain situations.

In the case of Laney Rucker from "Election Year" it is not military like you suggested. She was more likely a gang leader, a gun runner, or the person they called when they need someone taken out.
The kids in the store would have been privy to the stories, considering they were delinquents and likey in the same gang or dating someone from it.
There is even a small discussion about how Joe turned her life around and that she owed him. Joe himself was in a gang and would have seen potential in her to do more with her life just like Marcos.

The swastika patch on that guys jacket actually has curved edges, not straight. That’s the symbol used by the Thule Society back before hitler took power, they did help him and influenced him during the war. Their symbol goes even farther back, I believe it’s an old Buddhist symbol

Wondering re: the Warner Bros sledge....the fact that the poor are captured and sold off as purge prey is very similar to the concepts in the Hostel franchise where the rich buy backpackers kidnapped by a secret society and are allowed to hunt them down, tort**e them and unalive them at their "leisure". Could this be a bit of a thumb to the nose that WB released Hostel and not Purge? I'd have to look up who put out the Hostel series tho as I'm not sure so don't hold me to it.

As an avid (Canadian) Beer Pong player, I can say the rules we played by you locked eyes with the person at the other end of the table and simultaneously shoot one ball and whoever sinks a ball is the person who gets the first shot to start the game.
If you both sink it, lock eyes and shoot again until you have a winner and they are the first to shoot in the game.
Maybe that’s why there was eyes on the Pong Rules list?

Side note I think the Purge franchise has done a lot in using fiction to comment on reality. Haven't seen anything this strong since original Star Trek
