We're your friends! Digital friends 😅, I know it's not the same, I think i speak for everyone by saying you mean a lot to us all! We're all friends here!😊😊😊
Hi Melinda. You are helping to restore my faith in the vinyl community. Thank you and bless you. My wife just ordered me the US Beatles 64 box set. I can’t wait for Christmas. Hope you feel stronger soon
Learning new English expressions here, "Melt into my couch." I also have a couch you can melt in when the music is good, so I'm going to give Astrud Gilberto a listen and see what grandma's couch is capable of 😊
Your new city may not have any nostalgic memories like your previous home town, but now would be the time to start new memories. Play tourist, find new favorite restaurants, discover local festivals, go to concerts & hopefully you'll have grandchildren soon. All will be well.
Your choice in music is definitely NOT "boring" and I think it is great that you are open to listening to virtually all genres of music! Unfortunately, I no longer have an analog front end as I transitioned to mostly hi-rez physical formats several years ago but I enjoy your channel and its content. I do wish that there were hi-rez releases being made available specifically for Record Store Day (after all, record stores historically sold more than just vinyl!) but I am grateful that people are still buying, enjoying and discovering new and "new to them" records... Cheers!
My wife and I have record listening nights usually once a week. Last night we were listening to some Christmas Jazz gems I found on eBay for cheap and she said to me "we aren't listening to music, we are listening to history".
Your last video was really great. I have worked in some record shops and a few of them also sold used records and we always made sure to pay the highest price for the items. We narrowed the margins but sold more, easy! But I remember travelling to sellers who had no clue and we found whole collections damaged by water or mould. Total loss. Anyway, memories are important and you now have to create new ones. After 30 years living in another town I returned to where I was born and raised and although memories weren't always positive they were still mine. Maybe your move to Florida isn't for ever? I can stand outside my room here in the souh of Sweden where I listened to Byrds, CSN, Jefferson Airplane, Santana, Grateful Dead, Zappa, Simon and Garfunkel...in the 60s. Where I unwrapped the USA imports and felt the hard cardboard covers. All the discoveries that sometimes were disrupted by my parents shouting at each other. But my music was my haven. It still is.
I think in time I will really love it here. I just miss my friends and familiar places. It sounds like coming back home is bittersweet for you. I agree that music is so beneficial. ♥️ Thank you for sharing your story with me. It really helps. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care. ♥️🤗
Oh wow! It would depend on the price range you are at. I would consider going to a local record store if you trust the owner and their opinion based on what you are willing to spend. Best wishes to you. 😃♥️ Enjoy your weekend.
nice to know that such desirable records are making record store day more fun, and the availability of the other releases is just more good news, I'm sure demand will be high. getting a clean high quality recording of"Ball of confusion" would make my day.
I just got back from my "Black Friday" record buying trip - all from my local Goodwill & thrift stores - 11 LPs which cost me a total of $17.00. I'm tickled pink!
Bill Evans for the win. The Live at Kongsberg 1970 looks like the one to have. One, it’s Bill Evans, he really was a genius. Emotion packed in every performance. Two, live well-recorded jazz albums are the best. Record companies generally didn’t screw them up as much as pop and rock albums with all those overdubs/sweetening. They were as close to true live as you were going to get. Thanks for the preview. Now, you get that cold on the run and have a Happy Thanksgiving with your family!
I have a few Undisputed Truth albums, they really get Way out there later with white Afros and space costumes. Interesting group that tried to follow Funkadelic but never quite worked out. I think our record store list will be different. lol. I am now living in my 14th different place, I really have no roots set anywhere. I am hoping we have finally landed in a spot where will we finish our years Hard to build connections when moving so much. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, first time I will have it with my immediate family in 16 years, I’m very excited Can’t stand avant-guard jazz, I just don’t get it lol
I mentioned "Miss You" by The Rolling Stones in my video. That record sounds incredible now. I appreciate that song so much more now. Thank you and enjoy your weekend. 🤗♥️
That is for the heads up on the Elemental Music releases. They are doing a great job on these Motown reissues. Looking forward to finding those. Regarding the upcoming RSD releases, I really only found one title I’ve gotta get my hands on. Earlier this year I rediscovered the music of Cat Stevens. In his 1970’s heyday he didn’t put out that many albums before he retired from the music business. In 1976 he put out a live album that was, oddly, only released in Japan. It’s never been reissued, until now. It’s one of the RSD titles, so I’m hoping to find that. So that’s what I’m looking for.
You are a LOT of things, Melinda, but boring is NOT one of them, LOL! Thank you for showing that Astrud Gilberto - I have loved her voice since I was a child, and i'm gonna have to see if I can pick that up! I'm sorry your move has brought you some bouts of homesickness - I wish I could say the same, but I don't have that many fond memories of my school years for various reasons, so moving to my dream city of Boston in 1993 to be near my wife was the best thing I ever did! 🙂 Have a wonderful holiday and all my best to you and your family for the holidays and beyond!
One of my fav all time songs, The Undisputed Truth’s Ball of Confusion! So glad a vinyl resissue of that album! Thanks again for a wonderful fun video!
Genesis' *Trespass* album was issued on Impulse in the US originally (it may have been ABC/Impulse then). If only I had fond memories of my parents' records! Most of the albums were too middle of the road for me, so I left them when I left home. I was a little too rock & pop for Viki Carr, The Harmonicats, 101 Strings & Wayne Newton! I did snag my brother's Ventures *Surfing!* record & one by Johnny Burnette though.
@@MelindaMurphy I have a carefully curated vinyl collection. I worry about where it goes after I am gone. My nephew likes and collects but he is several states away. Not a pressing issue at this time, but it will be in 10/15 years. Until then I will just enjoy it. Your collection is incredible, than you for sharing it with us. Cheers Melinda. :)
@@MelindaMurphy Thank you! My mom is a big Jazz fan and loved your Bill Evans album! Jazz is awesome, but you know I'm a Rock fan. Van Halen for instance! 🥰🎸
I love your RSD preview videos! The release I'm most looking forward to is a 3 record live set from Emily Remler. Most don't know her, but she's probably my favorite jazz guitarist. Died sadly young at only 32.
That's such a shame - that's way too young. 💔 I'm not familiar with Emily Remeir but I love jazz guitarists. I will have to look her up. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Take care.
Great video for record store day black Friday first off Pharoah sanders album amazing, don cherry album amazing. Incredible from verb records and blue note records as well. Great pick ups next week I be in tune next Friday on UA-cam by toad hall books and records live stream and Mike from the in groove record store I be watching live stream at the same time watching people shopping at record store is amazing and exciting at the same time I love black Friday record store day just as record store day in April. Amazing Melinda take care and have a blessed Friday in the sunshine state of Florida physical media is always king and vinyl records proves that and happy Thanksgiving always much love to the music
As a UK soul collector I'm not sure who the Gaye/Terrell and Undisputed Truth albums are aimed at. They're 40 years and more old and not rare. You'd get an original copy for £25 [$30] . What price are the RSD releases ?
I love watching those live streams too. 🤗♥️They are so much fun. I love finally having a copy of the Marvin Gaye Tammi Terrell record. ♥️ Don Cherry and Pharaoh Sanders are great artists. Thank you and enjoy your weekend. ♥️🤗
Hello Melinda I have been on a small vinyl purchase spree the last month trying out my new Ortofon 2m black cartridge on my Marantz tt15 turntable. I have purchased some new classic rock albums that have been missing in my music collection. Santana Abraxis, Santana III, Al Stewart Year of The Cat, and The Zombies Odessey & Oracle which I really enjoyed. I am sure you will find many new friends in Florida given your very warm and friendly personality, just give it some time. I did notice that new vinyl does come with artifacts like paper shavings and sometimes dust so I do agree that cleaning new albums is a good idea. Music really is therapeutic so it goes well with hot tea with lemon and honey for your cold. Hope you shake off your cold soon. Take care Melinda.
Thank you for the kind and encouraging words. ♥️ I appreciate it. Wow! That is a nice cartridge. I loved my Ortofon Blue when I had it. You have some incredible records to play. Thank you and have a wonderful weekend. 🤗🤗
I don't know if you've heard of Thee Sacred Souls, but you should check them out. They play that late 60's/early 70's style of R&B and Soul. The singer sounds like Marvin Gaye on some of the songs. They have two albums and some non-album singles out. The first album is great!
Thank you for the suggestion. I'm not familiar with Thee Sacred Souls. If the singing is similar to Marvin, it should be very good. ♥️🤗 Have a great weekend.
Congratulations on those albums! That Doors RSD live in Detroit is calling my name, but I have that concert digitally. It’s a special concert though, the longest show the Doors ever played. They agreed to stop at midnight, but they kept on playing. Cobo Hall turned the lights on, then turned them off, but didn’t cut off the power. The Doors played to 1am. It’s going to be on 4 LPs. I got the live in Sweden RSD release, and only listened to it once. Like the Detroit show, I also had that show already. I love the Doors! I bought the Rhino boxset today for my dad, early Christmas gift! Viva la Doors!
Wow! That box set is going to be awesome. I have the AP versions of The Doors but I was tempted to order the box. Your dad is going to love it. ♥️ What a cool story about the RSD release. It should be a good one. Thank you and enjoy your weekend. ♥️🤗
Hi Melinda Thank you for this Video. I will look out for both the Bill Evans and BB King albums. Im sorry youre having some struggles . Can i say please be patient, moving house is a stressful time. Its one of the most stressful things that can happen in a lifetime. Perhaps treat it as opening a new chapter in your life book. You will create new memories im sure. Take care Melinda Regards Dave x
Thank you for the loving advice. I know you're right. ♥️ People move all of the time. You will love these records. Thanks again and enjoy your weekend.
I'm not in the market for BF RSD releases right now, but I took a look at the list of releases. If I were in the market, there are two blues albums and one punk album I'd consider buying. The releases from Elemental look really good for the most part. 👍 I'm quite intrigued by the psychedelic soul album. 🤔That's one I'd consider buying. If you want to hear something really different that you might consider crazy, try listening to the pianist Cecil Taylor. He was an intense avant-garde and free jazz pianist. Ornette Coleman is another one and is considered to be the father of free jazz. It may sound bizarre to you, and you may not care for it. 😲 Astrud (Ah-Strood) Gilberto is a great bossa nova singer; she very nicely embodied Latin American style in jazz back in the '60's. 😻 If she's with Antonio Carlos Jobim (Joe-Beam), it's going to be good. When she performs with Stan Getz and Jao Gilberto, her husband, it's pure magic. 😻If you don't put out another video between now and Thanksgiving, I wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving! 👍💖🎸😎
So glad you always mention paper/polyvinyl sleeves and details about each LP - From all the media I thought Genesis "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" was going to be on the list but not till March! Oh well - The Doors looks good - My Dad got me hooked on Astrud Gilberto - my favorite song of hers is "Summer Samba" - Great video Melinda❤See you Tuesday!
It's wonderful to have that connection with your dad. I really like Astrid Gilberto too ♥️ The Doors releases are usually pretty good. The only RSD release that was a must have was this Bill Evans album ♥️ I may go to a store on RSD to be a part of the celebration. ♥️ I love that they include sleeves that don't have to be replaced. It's a nice feature. Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful weekend. 🤗
Would have to see the song selection...Riley was recording for ABC in the 70s (w Joe/Wilton from the Crusaders...dave crawford who worked with Candi Staton) Would be groovy if some of those era,'d trax are on here! Quite sure otherwise its a snazzy spin! Good you recommend Btw we live outside of Indy...McCordsville (Since you mentioned Ky/Ind in your vid,) 11:24 11:24
Being a rock and roll kind of person, Van Halen sounds good to me. Since there are no record stores in town, I will order from Easystreet or Plaid Room when I really want something. Thanks. It has to be after RSD though.
The Van Halen concert album will be great. If I didn't already have the Blu-ray, I would definitely buy it. ♥️ I hope you are able to get what you really want online. Thank you and take care.
Hello Melinda. I agree with cleaning LPs before playing; it'll not only help the LP sound better, it can help the stylus out too. I remember the Undisputed Truth, but only for their song "Smiling Faces." And once I got used to Astrud Gilberto's voice and style, I thought she was absolutely cool. I like that you're willing to stretch yourself musically; congrats on that. We have that in common. For me, it was a gradual process, but I ended up giving almost everything a chance, genre-wise; still not ready to go full-steam into opera or rap (never rap, I think), but I do have an opera blu-ray (La Traviata) and some oratorios on CD. And, I hope you'll get over your cold soon; we all want you healthy!
You're very sweet. Thank you for the kind words. Hopefully, my cold will end soon. 😃 I liked rap as a teenager but not so much anymore. Lol. I honestly don't have any opera but I do enjoy some classical albums. It never hurts to try something new. Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend. 🤗♥️
My RSD Black Friday prime pick this year may not be on everybody’s priority list, but I’m hoping to find the Carl Stalling Project double LP - being a big fan of classic WB cartoons, I had both CD volumes and their cousins (“That’s (not) All Folks!” And “Bugs Bunny On Broadway”) as a huge fan of Stalling’s work. It’s amazing how the WB orchestra could go from something as serious as recording sessions for, say, “Casablanca”, then working with Stalling for a cartoon session.
Melinda, Just wanted to say that after watching your videos on the MoFI source point speakers you have I recently purchased the source point 8 speakers Could not be happier with the sound quality of these speakers Thanks for directing me to listen to these MoFI speakers
An infinitely variable single source point is the theoretical definition of a perfect speaker. designs who attempt to achieve the impossible single source are always worth a listen
Some interesting vinyls there, Melinda. And I am glad to hear that they are helping you miss home a bit less. I can imagine it is harder coming up to Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hopefully things get brighter for you very soon. P.S. Nothing got me excited about RSD this time around!
Thank you so much for the kind words. It's hard to be sad when listening to Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. ♥️ RSD can be very hit or miss. Take care and enjoy your weekend. 🤗
The Undisputed Truth looks great. That Don Cherry is likely something I might like but I’m pretty much done with Jazz. I had some Pharaoh Sanders albums but I purged them years ago. His sax playing sounds like he is blowing his nose. My wife and daughter didn’t really want to move my LA to Bakersfield. In 2020 Coors closed the brewery I was working at. LA County is a very expensive place to live. On top of that my brother wanted to put my mom in a home. We moved to Bakersfield to take care of my mom, whom was suffering from dementia. On a more positive note my youngest daughter also played high school softball. I coached my daughter for several years in softball leagues before high school. My daughter and 4 other girls I coached made the varsity team as freshmen and 4 were starters. My daughter and one other girl were pitchers on the varsity team.
I have no doubt you were a great coach and a lot of fun. I miss the days of watching my girl play. 💔 Thank you for sharing that you also had to adjust to moving. It was great that you were able to be there for your mom. The song dedicated to John Coltrane by Pharaoh Sanders is really out there. Lol. I have mixed feelings about that style of jazz. Thank you for your comments. ♥️ Take care.
I hope you are able to get the records you really want. I agree, these Bill Evans records for RSD are always well done. Thank you and enjoy your weekend.
Generally the black Friday RSD releases are not totally impressive. This year I'm looking at at least seven titles. Unfortunately I'm waiting on my reel to reel tape deck to come back from the shop and I'm not sure if I'll have any money left over for RSD. Wish me luck.

Hello Melinda ! You’ve got yourself a good stack , right in your favourite categories. I’m going for Sixpence non the richer , Jane’s addiction , Ramones and Rage against the machine. I hope I’ll get at least 2 of 4. Annette found nothing on the list , but she’ll come along anyway. She’ll flip through all the other crates. Take care. /A & R.
It's so great that the two of you enjoy records together. I hope you are able to get everything you want. Have a wonderful time. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Hey! New hair-style? There's a delay on my new speakers.... and my disability is getting me down this week as it is 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶 But you always lift my mood!!❤❤😘
I'm sorry that the weather can have a direct effect on your health. 💔 I pray that it gets better for you. I decided to curl my hair this time. I like to switch it up sometimes. Lol. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Hi Melinda. Hope you settle and get some fondness of your new home and all. So fun to see you holding a "norsk" (Norwegian) record. Wishing you a gread RSD, cheers from Morten
Thank you so much! I hope you have a wonderful RSD. I know I will love my new home, I just need time to adjust. I appreciate your kind words. Have a great weekend. 🤗♥️
@ Thank you Melinda, you too! I'll be listening to brand new very first solo album by Kim Deal and the new Smashing Pumpkins! Hopefully help keep me warm in a cold Oslo. By the way, my channel recently reached a bit of a milestone! 1000 subscribers 🥳
Hello from France melinda 😊. I bielived you need to get over with buying vinyls ( sorry for my bad english 😊) but do you see what i mean😊. Good- bye dear melinda 😊
Hey Melinda!! I Don't Think You Need The Van Halen!! The Doors And " Markee Moon" By Television Have Peaked My Interest.. As A Psychedelic Guy And All!! llol!! Good Show Girl!!
I would call my local record stores and ask them if they are participating in Record Store Day and if they are, ask them if they will be carrying the Bill Evans release. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Hello Melinda. Thought you’d like to know that there is a “beam” of light on your forehead/eyes (first part of the video) - you might want to change it for future videos. Sincerely Claus.
I noticed it while making the video so I got up and fixed it. Lol. The sun was hitting my subwoofer and causing that reflection. Thank you and enjoy your weekend. ♥️🤗
Melinda was talking about Focal speakers that have natural wood bamboo made into the woofers of the speakers. Would or paper woofers are natural. God makes natural materials in music to have the best sound. God made it where the master tape is made out of the best natural material this is mostly cotton for the best sound, the drawback is that the master tapes wear over time to hurt sound, master tapes cant be duplicated on a cd like disc to last, so records are remastered to try to keep the good sound, sometimes using digital 128, newer digital 256, now digital 512, better digital than cd. Digital tv wasnt as good as old tvs, but digital tvs are improving, same as in records. Older virgin vinyl was better. Tubes are more natural analog like over transistors. Belindas new amp is made out of better materials & hand wired transistors. Melindas amp puts out lower OHMS power at low volume as her older amp did, thats why her newer amp sounds better. I have speakers with better silk dome tweeters that are natural materials. Some woofers have a blend of natural rubber. Natural rubber is expensive & is no longer in old shoes, or in tennis shoes in the last 10 years that dont feel as good. Most speakers that have a hard cabinet that dont vibrate to hurt the south, but Harbeth makes speakers that vibrate the cabinets to help the sound like a guitar vibrating to help the bass, but not as clear as speakers that dont vibrate, all stereo gear has tradeoffs. Speakers & transistors have different parts, one can have 100 parts in an amp, & change 1 part to ruin the sound, then try 100 parts all over again. There is an old woman on youtube that makes tube amps, & speakers. Young women arent as smart. There is a young japanese girl that explains what is the best parts to make speakers, & the technology of how they work. I havent bought any speakers in 20 years, but the new bookshelf Dynaudio Evoke 20 for $2400 is the best speaker I ever heard. The second best speaker I have heard is the $800 Epos bookshelf speakers.
Sorry Melinda, but I'm not a jazz fan at all, so normal jazz is bad enough for me, so I hate to think what the avant-garde version is going to be like.
A speaker usually is placed 4 feet from a wall, farther out from a wall works as well. Magnepan speakers are different, they need to be placed 8 feet from a wall, ask a salesman to find out. It is hard to get speakers to sound right, if the speakers are a little closer to a wall, but a good diffusor can help, notice that I said GOOD diffusor. I noticed in your video that your door is close to your diffusor records. If your door is open, that means your speakers are farther away from a wall that can cause bad reflections to your ears, it might pay to keep your door open. Its a possibility with your speakers closer to your records & your door open, for better sound. Even better is a double door that opens from the middle. I am talking about a view that my friend can see sitting in her living room to listen to & be looking at her speakers. She can see her 2 bedrooms close together, where there is only a 6 inch wall between the 2 bedrooms. She placed one speaker right against the 6 inch wall & opened both doors, this tricks 1 speaker to think it is out from the wall by so many feet, its possible to do the other speaker the same way, or to have the other speaker 4 feet from a wall. Dont misunderstand me, Rels are the best subs! This will blow your mind. My brick wall allowed me to place my speakers 4 INCHES away from the wall. What blows my friends minds is Rel subwoofer that normally sounds great, instead in this setup the Rel sounded terribly garbled sound. My friends said my speakers sound better than my Rel now, go ahead & unplug that terribly sounding Rel. What people dont know is that a sub & speakers blend together, thus under certain setups, even the best subwoofers can sound terrible, even under the best setup that I have! My speakers dont have stands, my speakers are 66 1/2 inches apart, sitting on a fireplace. Where the fireplace is, I have a big flat piece of plastic clear smooth piece of plexiglass sitting against the fireplace, this helps the 3 dimensional imaging. I found these tiny $40 speakers by accident at Best Buy. I have heard the best speakers in the world, but these tiny $40 speakers 3d image better than the best speakers in the world. I use the speakers to find were my speakers should be placed. Once my tiny speakers find the right spot, then my tiny speakers play louder, so this marks the spot where my friends place their bigger speakers!
I love RSD/RSD Black Friday! I usually want a few things regardless! RSD this past April brought in a record breaking haul for me. That's why I'm glad I'm only interested in only 2 records on this Black Friday. Lol. The downside of this event is the annual bitter haters who feel the need to chime in online that they won't/don't participate or ridicule those who do. Those old men in the balcony!😂
Lol. Yes, everyone is very opinionated about RSD. I'm glad you are looking forward to it. I always enjoy it and rarely leave empty handed. Thank you and enjoy your weekend. ♥️😃
We're your friends! Digital friends 😅, I know it's not the same, I think i speak for everyone by saying you mean a lot to us all! We're all friends here!😊😊😊
That's so sweet and I do feel the same about you. ♥️ Talking to you and other music fans every week is so helpful. Thank you and take care. 🤗
Hi Melinda. You are helping to restore my faith in the vinyl community. Thank you and bless you. My wife just ordered me the US Beatles 64 box set. I can’t wait for Christmas. Hope you feel stronger soon
Thank you! It's wonderful to hear from you. Enjoy that Beatles box set! What a wonderful gift. Bless you and enjoy your weekend. 😊
Learning new English expressions here, "Melt into my couch." I also have a couch you can melt in when the music is good, so I'm going to give Astrud Gilberto a listen and see what grandma's couch is capable of 😊

Bill Evans: How my heart sings - his biography. A brilliant man, a sad, short life.
Your last video was really great. Hey Melinda: Your RSD selection is great.
Hello Melinda. ❤ I really enjoyed this video. I'm still discovering the genre of Jazz. So I'm exploring AG Jazz & Jazz Fusion. Watching in 🇬🇧
Hey Melinda. A very special Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. I hope it becomes very special for both of you.😀
The only one I want is the Byrds/Buffalo Springfield live at Monterrey.
That one and The Allman Brothers look good to me. ♥️🤗 I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Take care.
Hi there, Melinda, I was wanting to ask you how does one go about finding a good turntable and some good speakers to go with it?
Oh wow! It would depend on the price range you are at. I would consider going to a local record store if you trust the owner and their opinion based on what you are willing to spend. Best wishes to you. 😃♥️ Enjoy your weekend.
Ty stay frosty 🤘🏼🤘🏼
nice to know that such desirable records are making record store day more fun, and the availability of the other releases is just more good news, I'm sure demand will be high. getting a clean high quality recording of"Ball of confusion" would make my day.
I just got back from my "Black Friday" record buying trip - all from my local Goodwill & thrift stores - 11 LPs which cost me a total of $17.00. I'm tickled pink!
Wow! That's so incredible!!!! Now that's a sale! Enjoy your weekend and your new finds. 🤗♥️
The booklet on the Frank Sinatra release is so good, I also got my doors box set today, so excited to crack it open
I have a few Undisputed Truth albums, they really get Way out there later with white Afros and space costumes. Interesting group that tried to follow Funkadelic but never quite worked out. I think our record store list will be different. lol. I am now living in my 14th different place, I really have no roots set anywhere. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, first time I will have it with my immediate family in 16 years, I’m very excited Can’t stand avant-guard jazz, I just don’t get it lol
Hi Melinda! I’m interested in knowing if you have an album or song that you have learned to like because of your new music system (room treatments)?
Thanks Melinda! Hope younand yours have a great weekend and a beautiful holiday season ✌️🤘🤟
Thank you very much. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season as well. 🤗♥️ Have a great weekend.
That is an amazing song. ♥️ Mind blowing! Thank you and enjoy your weekend. 🤗
Bill Evans was incredible. Magic on the piano
I agree. He's one of my favorites. ♥️ Thank you and take care. 🤗
Your new room (house) looks beautiful! So happy for you !
Thank you! I'm excited to be here. Have a great weekend.🤗♥️
Thanks Melinda, great nods . Always interesting. Best wishes 😊😊😊
Thank you very much. Have a fun weekend! 🤗♥️
Awesome video! Have a great weekend and Happy Thanksgiving to you and family Melinda! 🥰☮
Thank you! You too and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. 🤗♥️
Take care.
Hi Melinda , hope you feel stronger soon . very nice records .
Thank you! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.🤗♥️
Great video for record store day black Friday first off Pharoah sanders album amazing, don cherry album amazing. Incredible from verb records and blue note records as well. Once again congratulations on the motown albums that are very hard to find like marvin gaye and Tammi Terrell united album ain't no mountain is a great good felt happy song that the biggest album ever on motion and last I was shocked you love undisputed truth I love that group so much that is another very hard to find motown album as well and props for giving Norman withfield he is known but underaded producer I love his musical style produce for the temptations in the late 60s and the early 70's when David Ruffin left and Dennis Edmond enters the picture in the group and few others on the label mid 70s he start withfield records my favorite soundtrack album car wash I love rose Royse and I think undisputed truth was signed to withfield records as well I got get there albums because there albums are very hard to find by the undisputed truth.
Those two old guys in the box on The Muppets were called Stadtler and Waldorf.
Thank you! I had no idea what their names were. The Muppets were great and so funny. Thank you and enjoy your weekend. 🤗♥️
Happy Thanksgiving 🐓 & RSD Black Friday Melinda 😊
Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving & RSD to you as well! 🤗♥️ Have a wonderful weekend!
I'm quite happy with the list. I have 7 titles I am looking to get. I would not want to feel the need to buy more than that.
I’m that guy in the balcony but I always end up buying too many records on RSD 🤦♂️
Great video Melinda! Those elemental titles are awesome! I too love Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Archie Shepp!
ORNETTE worked with Pat Metheny...
I really want that B.B. King Live in France 2 LP set.
It's a great album in my opinion. 🤗♥️ Thank you and enjoy your weekend.
Would have to see the song selection...Riley was recording for ABC in the 70s (w Joe/Wilton from the Crusaders...dave crawford who worked with Candi Staton)
Would be groovy if some of those era,'d trax are on here!
Quite sure otherwise its a snazzy spin! Good you recommend
Btw we live outside of Indy...McCordsville

Hey Melinda!! Had To Add Another Comment!! Those Elemental Releases... Look Amazing, Some Real Great Titles There!!!!
I agree. I am so glad they are reissuing these great records. Thank you and enjoy your weekend. 🤗♥️
I liked rap as a teenager but not so much anymore.
I am sure you have BB King Live at the Regal, Try Brothers Unlimimted and the Baby Huey story . They are killer psych -soul albums
Thank you for the suggestions. I will have to check them out. Have a wonderful weekend. 🤗♥️
You too
Melinda, Just wanted to say that after watching your videos on the MoFI source point speakers you have I recently purchased the source point 8 speakers Could not be happier with the sound quality of these speakers Thanks for directing me to listen to these MoFI speakers
That's fantastic! I'm so glad you are as happy as I am with them. They are great!!! Enjoy your new speakers! 🤗♥️ Have a wonderful weekend.
An infinitely variable single source point is the theoretical definition of a perfect speaker. designs who attempt to achieve the impossible single source are always worth a listen
Marty Morell.....great drummer (jazz)
I agree. He has an amazing story. ♥️ Thank you and take care. 🤗
Thank you for sharing that you also had to adjust to moving. It was great that you were able to be there for your mom.
The song dedicated to John Coltrane by Pharaoh Sanders is really out there. Lol. I have mixed feelings about that style of jazz. Thank you for your comments. ♥️ Take care.
Hey Melinda. My RSDBF WANTS are Todd Rundgren “Utopia” and the Jazz Dispensary. Cheers
Excellent choices. 🤗♥️ Thank you and enjoy your weekend.
I still replace the polyvinyl sleeves. I have found that the record will over time break through the sleeve creates a lot of paper dust.
That's a good point. If I see that happening, I will definitely make the switch. Thank you and enjoy your weekend. 🤗♥️
that happended to some of mine also.
I’ve already got about 50 unopened RSD records on my shelf
Wow! That's quite a big RSD collection. 🤗♥️ Thank you and enjoy your weekend.
The Bill Evans are always winners. Im also on the lookout for Charley Patton (vintage blues) and Joe Bataan Riot (soul boogaloo latin)
Undisputed Truth - the hit from that album was "Smiling Faces Sometimes" - a #3 hit on the Hot 100. I remember it well. I was 11 at the time.
That song has some great guitar riffs. It's a great song and I enjoy the entire album. Thank you and enjoy your weekend. ♥️🤗
@@MelindaMurphy You too. Take care.

There's a delay on my new speakers.... and my disability is getting me down this week as it is 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
But you always lift my mood!!❤❤😘
I'm sorry that the weather can have a direct effect on your health. 💔 I pray that it gets better for you.
I decided to curl my hair this time. I like to switch it up sometimes. Lol. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
Ugh !! BB King is on my list, but my local store did not order it 😔😒
Very frustrating. Hopefully, that will be a title you can order online the next day. Best wishes to you. 🤗♥️ Enjoy your weekend.

Good- bye dear melinda 😊

I think The Doors and Television are excellent choices. I agree completely. Thank you and enjoy your weekend. ♥️🤗
How should I know which record store who sell RSD records here in my town Stockholm. If I try Bill Evans recommend one album .....tc

❤ you are so beautiful and amazing
Thank you! Enjoy your weekend. 🤗♥️
😍
