Yep, it's really a shame, especially since this game is absolute and utter trash aside from looking nice. I don't even know what they were thinking when they designed the framedata and properties for normals and specials and I feel really sorry for the artists and their work being wasted on this. Would even have preferred an arcade port of the first Golden Axe for Saturn over this since I love the series but certainly not this game.
@@alonofisrael4802 I think it was designed to be the arcade at home. Though of course gaming was rapidly changing and full 3D adventure games became the norm.
Oh god I played the absolute hell out of this game when I was little I haven’t played in about 10 months but I always played Jamm Milan Flare Panchos and Green maybe a little of Death Adder my mamaw has a genesis and this game but I haven’t touched it in a while
Just another worn-out, unbelievably boring vs game now? I hate these games. What a disappointment. I was hoping it would have been like the other Golden Axe games, fighting tons of enemies at a time, with multi-player teamed up action, passing beautiful sceneries by in the background and then facing the huge stage bosses at the end of each level. They can even add a combo system now. I am so not impressed by this game, as great as the hand drawn graphics and animations are.
Gillius Thunderhead - The Dwarf, The Myth, The Legend.
So we got this instead of a port of The Return of Death Adder.
Thanks a bunch, Sega.
Well, this game in the arcade ran on virtually the same hardware, barring it's use of a cartridge format instead of a cd and possibly more ram.

"Greetings, from the land of beatings!!!"
I think Sega missed a golden opportunity with the Saturn. A few simple changes and it could have been the dominant console.
Popularity may not have been its strong points
but those in the arcade scene were in gaming paradise at home
What changes are you referring to?

Thanks for video ❤️👍🏻
Nice video dude!!!
Golden Axe the legendary weapon, the legend turn to Myth, myth turned to legend, myth became mythbusters... Sorry memories of YTP.
I love this game.
Go Sega Rally!! Pleace!!!

It's time.. to d-d-d d-d-d-d-d-duel!
Concept reminds me of soul caliber
MORE SATURN GAMES
The audio gradually gets more and more out of sync as the video goes on.
Honestly this looks alright for a mid-90's fighter.
Is it me or did the sound go off-sync halfway through the video?
is it being played on the original console or on an emulator?
This is basically a sprite-swap version of samurai shodown
FIRE EGGS!
People still complain about this game but it isn't bad.
