This was probably one of my favorite fighters of all time, I played this at Nickel Nickel, the best part it was In the free section! I do wish for more of these types of fighting games!
I totally disagree with the description. It just looks cut off because of resolution differences. The original arcade is rendered at 384 x 224, while the Saturn version is rendered at 352 x 224, which results in the characters and the game looking stretched. Still a great port despite this difference.

The game is still fun despite it's shortcomings on the PS1. This version does retain that animation, and pretty much most of, if not all of the animation frames.

Every Capcom fighting game has this size difference, even on XvSF and MSHvSF the character portraits in the in-game HUD had to moved down

Who is the difference between this version and PSX version?
This has less frames of animation removed, stuff like the Around the World dizzy move can be pulled off, and can't in the PS1 version.
Quality from Capcom in the day. Mini Akuma look mad sick. The Alpha art style use was perfect. Still Ken's the man.

Third strike is the best street fighter, I don't care what anyone says. The theme song on the character select is awesome.

..nope just the recording. I own a JP disc and can confirm no sync issues :)
