This man is perhaps the most beautiful demonstration of the coupling between strength and calm in adversity ever filmed. The charisma he exudes every time he speaks (and it's fully visible here) is something that's somewhere beyond my comprehension. We see seriousness and even anger on his face (which is logical because he is aware that he has been deceived and what he has discovered is horrible), but it is a controlled anger, which also reveals a calm so true (he manages to smile) that it can only come from a remarkable inner peace. I watched the movie with Denzel when I was a teenager and was impressed; but I realize that it's now, at 43, thanks to all these videos of him on youtube that I really realize that he was truly extraordinary. This mixture of calm and anger touches me in a very special way because it's incredibly beautiful, it's powerful, it's a very rare and difficult thing and it's something that I, myself, need to realize within myself because my anger is still a bit above my calm. Malcolm X is a real mystery to me. I say thank you so much to all those people who uploaded videos of this man. They are really helping people like me (because I know that many other people are in the same situation as me) to find a way to deal with their troubles with this world. Thanks to all.

These ppl lived through times that are heartbreaking to hear and think about. Taken from us far too soon, but his efforts were not in vain, his story lives on ❤
I’ve been saying this for YEARS. Giving Malcolm a federal, national holiday is truly a celebration of Black people. We have an entire month (albeit the shortest one) so a day to honor someone who was all about BLACK PEOPLE would be consistent with Black History Month. Give Malcolm February 21 (his death date) while Martin has January. February is in Black History Month, so it makes sense. But, we all know white people revile Malcolm.
As I am not American I am reading it to know what America was like from his POV ofc I have watched documentary’s on that but to get it as someone as Brilliant as he was
In the beginning MLK was a puppet but I wouldn’t fault him for it. He was really trying to bring peace for everyone and start black progress. By the time he figured out he was being played by the US government and tried to speak truths he was assassinated. A Christian, conservative, non violent preacher and they still murdered him.....why? Because he wanted black progress
I'm a middle class white guy, I reluctantly did a report on Malcolm X in junior high, what I found from the research available in the late 80's (not a great deal about him, plenty about Martin) was that he was a man of uncompromising principal, agree with his politics or not, it's hard not to admire his tenacity. I came away with a great deal of respect for the man.
Having read only briefly about Malcolm X, I was pleased to find these videos of him actually speaking. He was a man to be respected, regardless of your opinion on his politics or religion.
I always have enjoyed hearing Malcom X talk. He was a man of principle and you gotta love a man who stands by his words and actions. May he rest in peace.

If you are black and bringing unity among other blacks, you are subjected to scrutiny. Brother Malcolm was a jem, we can carry on his legacy by continuing to live for his cause and not accepting abuse from our oppressors.
Right now and for a while, black Americans are their own oppressors, accepting being a guest in their own country and not engaged with solely building up black American whose ancestors were slaves here in America, and no one else.

Daughter_of Zion You’re Beautiful And Have common sense, that’s a plus 👌🏾

How do people still call him honorable Elijah muhumad the more I learn about him the more he start looking like creflo dollar
Because he isnt honorable whatsoever. Malcom realized this and became a sunni Muslim instead. Muhammad ali did the same thing.
The man and his mission must be understood. He lifted hundreds of thousands of lives. He taught a teaching that if you follow it will bring you success. He’s vilified by our own and our Unalike because if we follow him the world changes overnight. Malcolm understood this. He was trying to get back into the nation and he apologized for his misconduct. UA-cam search “Malcolm x apologizes”. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad is a Christ figure. Almost singlehandedly responsible for a black Islamic explosion on this hemisphere. Sad, he’s gone. Much respect for him. He’s needed today, no doubt. I’m man enough to admit my ignorance of his life left me with a bad impression. He’s misunderstood by many white and black. What I’m most impressed with is his humility that allowed his growth. And, his loyalty to truth.
Malcom had a good heart, not consumed with hate, but a passion for justice! He hated hypocrisy, thus the falling out with Elijah Mohammed!
Malcolm made a lot of mistakes , among which , not having a salary from his job, believe it or not he didnt have any money from working 12 years with the nation of islam he worked tirelessly lovingly he believed in elijah mouhamed when he found out about the man's multiple secret relationships they began the plan to get rid of him. Malcolm deserved his own organisation, his own salary, home, everything. He worked and deserved decent income. All others made themselves comfortable off of malcolm's labour.

Once you try to wack someone, you don't get to demand loyalty. Duh.
Muhammad Ali and Louis Farrakhan were among those who hated Malcolm X for speaking out against Elijah Muhammad!
I don't think Muhammad Ali hated brother Malcolm as much as it was following what he thought was "truth" coming from Elijah Muhammad. Remember Ali was relatively new in the NOI. Think of it this way. With the platform Ali had, if he would have sided with Malcolm it would've been a wrap!

The man was not a puppet like MLK
We need a Malcom X holiday...
Why is MLK a puppet?
I’ve been saying this for YEARS. Giving Malcolm a federal, national holiday is truly a celebration of Black people. We have an entire month (albeit the shortest one) so a day to honor someone who was all about BLACK PEOPLE would be consistent with Black History Month. Give Malcolm February 21 (his death date) while Martin has January. February is in Black History Month, so it makes sense. But, we all know white people revile Malcolm.
@@corelltempleraps I don’t I’m reading his book like right now
As I am not American I am reading it to know what America was like from his POV ofc I have watched documentary’s on that but to get it as someone as Brilliant as he was
In the beginning MLK was a puppet but I wouldn’t fault him for it.
