𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
In this exciting tutorial, we'll show you how to build your own Thermal Camera using the powerful Raspberry Pi 4 and the AMG8833 Thermal Image Array Temperature Sensor from Panasonic. The AMG8833 is an 8x8 thermal infrared sensor array that is capable of detecting temperature anomalies and emitting heat, making it an essential component for a DIY Thermal Camera.
Not only is this project affordable, but it also opens up a world of possibilities for thermal imaging applications such as monitoring thermal performance, detecting temperature anomalies, and capturing thermal images. With the help of some written libraries and math plot functions, we'll show you how to generate a heat map and temperature readings with ease.
Not only will you learn how to build a DIY Thermal Camera, but you'll also get a chance to test the capabilities of the AMG8833 and see just how well it performs. Whether you're a hobbyist, a student, or just someone who loves DIY projects, this tutorial is a great way to get started in the world of thermal imaging.
So what are you waiting for? Get ready to dive into the world of DIY Thermal Cameras and see just how easy it is to build your own with the Raspberry Pi 4 and the AMG8833. Hit play now!

That's amazing~
Awesome 👌
Good job.
Can we connect multiple sensors on single rasberry pi?
What is the block diagram
Wow
Can somebody please tell me is it possible to attach this thermal camera to drone???
Actually my project is thermal sensing drone, can somebody help me by providing informations on how to make it a successful project
Plz. Make an video for oxygen monitoring system for home with O2 sensor
Does it work to recognise objects?
Does anyone know if this would work with raspberry pi 3?
Yes it does
How to turn on ? Noone knows .
@HowtoElectronics >>> 👍👍
0:35 . why? Why? Just why?
please can i use arduino uno for this project
🙏👍
The image sensor is 8x8, but the working image on the monitor looks more like 32x32. How?!?!
Due to Interpolation
@@HowtoElectronics very effective result!
Here's a challenge. I wireless small thermal camera with more pixels transmitting live with 4g/5G cellular or analog or wifi of the video= feed... :D
Can this sensor used in smog
what is the smallest dimension of the object which it can resolve
As an engineer that works with Professional FLIR cameras, I think that just the FLIR sensors (used by various camera brands) are acceptable in Industrial applications!!!
But in other situations, your work and effort is very nice 👍 Thanks a lot for sharing this great project 💯
What kind of galvo would be good for a raster scan to give higher effective resolution?
I don't even know if it would be better to put the galvo mirror before or after a lense, any reading material you can recommend?
I want this sensor sir
Please recommend an array with high pixel.
not legal
@@icraftcrafts8685wtf how is it not legal?
@@ericsalidbar1693I've heard very high resolutions have military applications and are restricted for civilians but I've done nothing to verify that. Could be what they were referring to. Certainly, there are higher resolutions available to us than the one shown in this video though.
In case of emergency ,
Does it works to identify the Hidden animals like Snake ,
Which can be hidden behind the tree leaves or behind the wall / door
I guess the voice of the lady belongs to a Nepalese
Correct bro, Its Nepali girl. Thanks for the support.
Not worth bothering with except as a novelty. The resolution is not good enough as I would want a thermo imager to work down to circuit board component level, but those type of imagers are very expensive.
Not worth bothering with for you*, the rest of us could see use in it
Why not just use a normal monitor with hdmi and attach keyboard and mouse?
It will be very slow to use that os
@@tsaashik8048that can actually support 4k resolution and you call that slow? It's a decent sbc tbh
More importantly detect. How man pees lol?.
At the cost lower than this you can buy Better Android thermal camera
Example?
@@insertyoutubenamehere4160 otg powered Thermal camera .
What about MLX90640 Thermal Camera. It is 95 bucks.
@@thecrazylooser7 still preferred to buy because you can't use just bare sensors , you still need microcontroller, display, battery and inclosure .otg type is best and cheap but only if purchased from Chinese site .
