Really enjoyed the interaction with your fellow campers. Proves what I have grown up knowing, campers are some of the friendliest people you ever meet. You guys timed your visit just right. For the next two weeks Destin and Fort Walton beach are packed for spring break. Safe travels.
You guys.......I chuckle at you, I admire you, I learn from you, I relax while I’m watching. It’s just a few weeks before I can head out for a few days, I’m excited.
Fun fact I once drove 9 hours to camp at Camp Gulf about 10 years ago and back then it was called Camping on the Gulf and now I live 20 mins from there!
We're moving from Maine to Milton, Florida next week, less than one hour from Camp Gulf. I visited while down buying a new home to be built and the place was amazing. The staff was very friendly and they gave me a fantastic brochure. I look forward to hooking up my East to West Alta and hanging out at the RV parks all along the Gulf. Like a permanent vacation when we are off the road traveling Spring and Fall.

Second trip same friends with hubby to Oregon coast. Right now a 6 week cross country to Bossier, LA then home. What a blast! Thank you for teaching us how to have fun. Love Destin. Our son had a condo there for a number of years. Your video did a fine job showcasing the beach as a beachfront playground, really cool sandcastle!
Love seeing the military aircraft flying over the beach, especially that OV-22 Osprey. It's also a lot of fun to see y'all touring other people's RV's.
Check into the bulletproof hitch with the weight distribution attachment coupled with the equalizer (or any WD setup for that matter). I just switched to this setup on my F-250 and I have tons of room to lower my tailgate.
Love the Equal-i-zer! I got the plastic guards for the sway bars and it helps with the moaning. They still can be noisy though. But I have had no sway issues with my Coachman 300 BHS.
The great thing(s) about your channel, and your episodes; you just know they will bring a smile to your face! Also, you will likely learn something regarding equipment, destinations, events, and RV life overall. Thank You for this wonderful channel! See you next week! Stay safe, and Have Fun!
I am an RV'er who lives a birds mile away here in Miramar Bch from Camp Gulf but have to point something out. Be sure to fill in any holes in the sand dug by end of day so that sea turtles do not get caught in them at night trying to reach a nesting spot.
For the checkard, I use a fence post galvanized steel holder (and bent out the tabs) that way it can hold the sticker. I use very strong magnets to keep it on (hard drive magnets actually haha). Works great. I love pro back-up assist. It's great to be able to back up in a straight line for miles if you want.
Regarding lowering the tailgate.. If you swap your standard 12” shank in your weight distribution hitch for a 14” shank this will likely solve your problem. Solved all of mine. My local RV place didn’t charge me for the swap either.
I've only seen Destin's beaches once: during the oil spill. There were cleanup crews working on every beach, and that white sand was STILL beautiful, even during an oil spill!
Trish.... You are ripped!!! Love the sand castle , what a cool way to spend the day. I'm sorry someone knocked it down. You guys look like you are having an awesome time. We can't wait to get back out on the road and hope to come across you path someday. :)
Heard your discussion re: Blue Ox and Equalizer WDH. I had a 31' TT that I almost lost control of in 35 mph crosswinds in Texas. The TT had a dealer installed an El Cheapo WDH with one friction sway controller. I had tightened the controller and later discovered the small mounting ball shank had bent from the force of the crosswind. Sometime later I met a guy who swore by the Hensley he had on his Airstream. Did a little research and settled on Pro Pride's version of the Hensley. Installed it myself. Never had a problem with crosswinds or passing vehicles again.

Yes, but facing the wrong way. It was raining and took a wrong turn. Thought a blind back-in was better than doing a figure 8 through the entire park. It's big!
