THANK GOD I found your video! I have been searching UA-cam and the internet for days trying to find DIY PAX door measurements and hinge placements. Like you mentioned, everything was in CMs or MMs, or it wasn't the taller PAX system, the videos were sped up x2 to make a short 30 second clip that was barely digestible or it was just people painting over existing doors. Thank you for saving my project! This was so helpful. 🤗
very cool. i love your dedication to reusing materials. do you ever just walk around your house pointing out how much you spent vs how much full price items cost? haha i would do it. it's such a flex.
You guys did an excellent job making those doors fit just right 👍 Doors are hard enough without having to convert metric to inches. Excited to see how you pretty them up.😻
It's long overdue for America to switch to the metric system and the Celsius scale. Seriously.. 😅 Your channel though shouldn't switch to anything. It's perfect! ❤ Amazing job on those doors! Looking so much forward to how you'll style them. Can't wait.
I am doing similar, but getting mdf panels cut to size because I have 10 of them and doing the hinge holes and painting myself. I took my cabinets to the ceiling which is 2700mm so IKEA doors won’t fit. Thanks so much for the detailed instructions!
I love that your took your cabinets to the ceiling! I’m planning to do something similar in my guest room to utilize the storage up above. Glad you found this helpful ❤️
Holy shyte, I am shook by how much more expensive IKEA is in the US! 😲 I'm in the Netherlands, and that same forsand white door is €34 (not even 37 usd) over here... Anyway, back to the video. 😅
Once the project is done, I hope you do a price comparison between purchased and custom-made doors. Make sure you calculate your parent's labor at a level appropriate with their skillset...you know, like $85:00/hr. LOL Cheers Andrew. 🏳🌈
Hi Andrew, thanks for the motivation! My wardrobe is an existing built in and I currently have the doors off as I need to finish them (previous owner painted them with a water base paint over oil based enamel so the paint is peeling and I have to strip them, UGGHHH,). I'm going to be adding moulding, replacing the hinges and painting, so can't wait to see your next video. Have a great weekend 😊
Well done H fam. All that measure conversion would've felt stressful to me! Does anyone have an opinion on Rub'N Buff? I'll be venturing into it for none other than a candlestick DIY. :)
A very comprehensive how-to video. And checking hinge placement from both directions is genius! They look great already, but I can't wait to see them after they get the full Reissued treatment. Your whole process is so thoughtful, and I can almost see you mentally checking all the "what if" boxes as you go along. Makes me want to go buy power tools.
If your luck is anything like mine, on your next visit to ikea, you will have found exactly what you needed for this job. Haha. Anyway, as always, nice job.
You're braver than I am. When I lived in Europe, I got a Pax wardrobe (lifesaver). I don't know if I'd try constructing my doors. The doors look great and will be better once they're finished. Your space is coming together nicely!
Looking forward to the reveal! That Kreg jig is kinda neat, I've always used a drill press for doing those european 35 mil hinges, but that lig would be handy!

Great job and also great teamwork🙂🙂🙂together! Looking forward to seeing the final touches you will add to those unique one of a kind doors!

Haha I think about that sometimes! Then I think about all the time and work 😅 But a custom look is definitely worth it 🙌🏻❤️

Awesome job 🎉😊
Another interesting video, always look forward to your next video. Keep up the good work!
i love the way your folks help you...
They are amazing!
You guys are genius!! Can’t wait to see finished!❤
Thanks Marianne!
I'm excited for the next video. I'm planning on doing a similar treatment to my bifold doors. Curious on how you do it! 😊
Great video! All the measurements were very helpful.
Yay! I’m glad you found this helpful!

Haha you’re not wrong! And yet here we are 😅

Anyway, back to the video. 😅
Very interesting! I wonder if shipping overseas makes the difference. I’m definitely jealous of your prices!

Haha it’ll definitely be over at that hourly rate! 🤣 But yeah I love the idea of a price comparison to weigh the pros and cons of a diy job

Omg Gabby! Your project sounds so cool! Aside from stripping paint haha. But it’ll be worth it! Let us know how it goes!
My partner says I watch too many American DiYs. Because I learned from beautiful and creative dynamics like yourself, Andrew. I only work in inches 😂
Haha that’s amazing! Carry on! ❤️😂
We’ve got to get your subscription numbers up.
Haha I won’t argue with that!
So wondering how much saved? Your Restore has so much more
I’ll do a cost comparison breakdown in the next video!

Hey there! I haven’t tried Rub’n bud personally but I know a couple people who swear by it. Let me know if it works well for you!
@@REISSUED Just used it! Works really well, and it's very true that, "a little goes a long way" with it! 👍👍

Thanks David! Can’t wait to show you the finished doors!
Can't wait to see the finished product!
I’m too excited to see your vision come together!! I can’t wait!! When is the next video… soon I hope!?? 😉
Art video this week and pax reveal next week!
Wouldn't using centimetres be easier than measuring "three eighths of an inch"? 😅
let us live our lives "three eights of an inch at a time"! LOL :D
If your luck is anything like mine, on your next visit to ikea, you will have found exactly what you needed for this job. Haha.

Haha truth
I love the way your home is coming along. So unique and cool.

Looks good so far!! 💕🎶
I love that your dad is wearing a Reissued piece!
Yes! Happy accident haha
