Always ! Bleed fuel filter not by turning ignition on for couple of times but by disconnecting blue striped fuel pipe behind front of engine and priming fuel from that pipe. Engine will start straight away.
What do you use to prime it with?
@@paulkazjack 8mm clear hose to plug in fuel pipe and you can even use your mouth :) or it's better to use some hand vacuum pump. You can even use spray pump from any spray bottle.

he mounted the spraygun on the fuel line right before the engine.
the intake of the spraygun where normally the can with the color or wax or oil or whatever is he connected to the fuel line so the spraygun can suck the diesel from the tank through the filter and the fuel line and also it does remove the air out of the fuel line after he changed the filter.
1.7CDTI owner as well, no uplift pump in the tank either nightmare to start afterwards if you don't bleed the system first, I installed a one-way bleeder valve on my tank line, bought a hand vacuum pump kit works like a charm.

Salut. Da intradevar, daca nu amorsezi filtrul de motorina, nu va porni. Eu am folosit un pistol de dat teroson si un compresor, cu care am tras motorina din rezervor. Se vede in clip. O improvizatie, dar asta aveam la indemana.

Normalement, il faut mettre le contact 3 fois sans démarrer le moteur, pour reamorcer la pompe à gasoil il me semble, non ?
Nu imi e clar ce ai facut dupa ce ai pus la loc filtrul....partea cu pistolul. Multumesc
Acela era un pistol pentru dat antifonat. Cu el am tras motorina din rezervor, astfel umpland filtrul de motorina. Daca aveam aceea pompita de amorsare, nu era necesar sa mai fac partea cu acel pistol. A fost o improvizatie, oricum. Dar a mers :)
Claude Tube in cazul in care nu faci cum ai făcut cu pistolul, nu s-ar umple filtrul dacă pornești de mai multe ori?
@@tomhawk007 Nu va porni daca nu amorsezi instalatia. O poti face si cu o pompita de cauciuc sau electrica, eu am avut acel pistol la indemana. Am descarcat bateria inainte cat am dat la automat si tot nu a pornit pana nu am amorsat instalatia.

Yes
Mann filter is correct but I prefer Motul or Mobil rather than GM oil.
GM oil is good for DPF , cant speak for Motul or Mobil as never tried them but i had intermittent DPF issues,Used GM oil again never had any issues since then.
@@naumidec I agree with RMN. Mann has best qualify and is designated to this car. You can't get wrong with it. Motul doesn't make fuel filters.
