    Gday mate, unsure if this has been mentioned but get length of flexible pipe/tube/hose (preferably smooth walle) and run a siphon into the top of your highbanking setup. Submerse the entire hose up stream. Whilst submerged cap one end with a temporary plug and then take that end down stream to your setup and unplug to start the siphon.

    That’s pretty awesome. Is there a way you could bring say like 70 feet of wide hose? Then you could gravity pump water. Like siphoning. We can’t use mechanical devices here either without permits and a letter of intent. But a gravity dredge just uses water pressure through a hose. No mechanical crap needed 🤔😉food for thought

    I live in El Dorado county , California. No dredge...no high banker unless over 300 feet from water...no gravity dredge. You can't even have a generator near water as it is a mechanical device while "panning/mining". Mechanical devices no matter the use..is deemed a no go.

    I've been told you can use a water pump, provided it's not running into the stream. So you need a kids pool to run it in for example. Don't know if it bypasses the law or not, I was just told this by a friend.

    So watching this video i notice you saying about the law on Mechanical or Electrical pumps whilst having the greatest respect of the laws Laid down we must follow,
    I notice on your Highbanker that you have water inlets if the pipes where reduced to say to 2inch feed you could technically add a lever hand pump to your highbanker sluice this would just leave you hand pumping rather than using pails of water,,your water suck will come from a pipe connection into the highbanker from the creek or river,
    You could run a 3inch pipe from the inlet across with drilled holes 1)2 apart on the bottom as you pump into this tube the water releases into the sluice and feeds the sluice okay you have to hand pump but it most deginetly beats lifting carrying pails of water i rather save my back and build my arm muscles pumping great exercise.

    • @BustedknucklesProspecting
      @BustedknucklesProspecting  8 місяців тому

      I had a bucket set up connected to those pipes and used a second bucket to fill the other to keep a constant water supply going, less effort than hand pumps but I had done your idea and it is definitely a work out
