The reception, and his transformation, are not what is expected. The final scene of him arriving home to his deluxe apartment in Houston, looking down on on the crowded freeway at evening rush, is little short of wrenching, and I'll say no more. Funny, silly, and heartfelt, it's worth a look.
He gets his love of accents from his da. His da would get the whole family to adopt an accent while out in public for a lark. A real gentleman jokester!

Does anyone remember the sketch where mike Myers is with a group of people in a social setting and he keeps trying to make jokes that fail. Then he goes in the bathroom and goes back in time and all the jokes work because of better timing?

They only did "All Things Scottish" twice in Myers' seven seasons...and then Rankin appeared once more when Patrick Stewart hosted. Probably just the right amount...they need not have run EVERY recurring character into the ground...

I was tearing up when he started taking about Sean. Sean went all the way to London only to become that English ponce Bond but at least he met Michael Caine when he got there. Some Englishmen are worth getting to know or at least golf with (just watch their score card). But just look at what the English have done with the place in the last few years.
