Wait, are you doing this on Scene Stealer in SB which is HD or Rachel by JR which is regular synthetic? I’m confused because I see two different wigs and 270° on Rachel (wavy PSB) is regular synthetic but the finished product is showing Scene Stealer? Are you doing the exact same method and heat temp on both HD and regular synthetic. I’ve never taken this type of heat to my regular synthetic. I’ve only ever used the plastic blow dryer brush, which just made the hair straight, and didn’t keep a little bit of bend on the ends.
Thank you, Chrissy for pointing this out. That is a little confusing, isn't it?🤪🤪🤪 I condition both heat, friendly Wigs or regular synthetic wigs with this product . And it depends on whether I want to maintain the curl or if I plan on straightening the curl whether I will use the heating pad overnight. Now let me go watch this video to refresh my memory, and I will come back and answer again on the temperatures.. generally when I use heat tools on regular synthetic, they are between 180° and 250°. On my heat, friendly Wigs I am generally 100° higher so usually between 280° up to 350°. whenever in doubt always use a bottle of spray water to keep your fibers wet if you're concerned or not sure about the temperature of heat you are using and that goes for both types of wigs, heat, friendly, and regular synthetic.
Yes, I did primarily the same treatment on both types of wigs, but I was 100° lower for my heat tool temperature on the regular synthetic. Heat friendly Raquel Welch Scene Stealer, yes, I used a flat iron at 360° and a bottle of spray water because this girl was very well loved and needed that kind of extreme help. On the Jon Renau Rachel in Palm Springs blonde, (I was just trying to Scooch this in on the same video ). But yes, this one is a regular synthetic. And yes, I actually did use 270° with spray water on this regular synthetic wig because she had been VERY VERY WELL LOVED.... I'm trying to say that as positive as I can. Because she actually looked irreparable..... but I'm always up for a good challenge🙃🙃🙃 And no, I did not show a finished shot of the Rachel because she went home with my client before I could get pictures. The final picture is Belle Tress counterculture which I also did this same routine. But I didn't have pictures as I was working on her because I wasn't sure if it was going to work or not.🥵🥵 I hope this helps. Clarify a little bit. Let me know.❤❤
The Windex is to remove product buildup so that your shampoo works better and then therefore your condition conditioner works better. I included a link in my drop-down description with my UA-cam video showing how to use the Windex, but I will also link it here. ua-cam.com/video/kun4DmMl87k/v-deo.htmlsi=Mpls8nWa6cVWYifK
Hi Colleen. I too was very turned off by the smell of the silicone mix. Felt like it took forever for it to dissipate. Then I found Loreal Paris Elvive Total Repair 5 from another wig reviewer. In my opinion the scent was more tolerable and seemed to fade considerably quicker. I found it to be the same creamy consistency and has the same results. Another great tutorial Colleen. I do enjoy all your videos. Thanks so much!
When I use the bamboo treatment, I use it INSTEAD of any other conditioner. Only because I'm frugal.😁 But you certainly could add Estetica conditioner, or conditioner of your choice, afterwards, as long as you're rinsing very well. But I'm not too sure how the two different smells would collide.🥰🥰🥰🥰 Thank you for watching ❤️❤️
Watched a couple times but didn't catch it - did you turn the heating pad off overnight after an evening of turning it off and on for 20 min? Or was the heating pad on low all night?
No, the heating pad was not on all night! And you really don't have to turn it on and off as many times as I did it's just that this particular wig was in very bad condition❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for watching ❤️❤️
I have not actually tried anything else, but I would say if it has the same ingredients as Windex, you should be fine. Let us know what you try if you try something different. And thank you for watching.❤❤❤❤❤
@@WigsGlam thank you for making these videos! Today I cleaned my almost dead Miss Macchiato with a glass cleaner from Lidl (I'm in Europe). I don't know about the ingredients, but it is blue🙂 It worked exactly as you described and the wig feels very nice and clean, even softish, and I haven't conditioned it yet
Wow great result so soft thanks very much 💖
You’re welcome 😊 and thank you for leaving a comment❤️❤️
Great review!!! Thank you for all the info!
