Being a headbanging thrasher in the 80's meant that you were hearing these bands and their albums as soon as they hit the shelves. Classics like Metal Church' first album, Exodus Bonded By Blood, Metallica of course, Megadeth..many others. Then there was Slayer..and the Reign In Blood album. It was then that I knew that Dave Lombardo is and will forever be the undisputed king of titans.

No he didn't say that when Lombardo was fired. He said that when Lombardo was rehired in 2001. He said he saw a Testament show that was really sloppy and assumed Lombardo didn't have the chops. And then said "I stand corrected" when Lombardo first rehearsed with them again.

Jeff was the heart, soul and the talent of slayer.

Sure missed Dave when I saw Slayer a few years ago in Seattle.
Jeff strumming the banjo. Great footage
Lombardo on point 🤘
When isn't he???
I wish the early Slayer recordings had the bass louder..
The bass was as loud as the guitars on the hell awaits album that's why it's my favorite Slayer album.
I was just gonna say that the bass on Hell Awaits is loud
Hidden footage!! Would love to see more !!!
Yes, please.
All this did was make me go and watch several other live versions and a few pretty good covers, Hatebreed comes to mind.

Kerry's "Jimmy Sage" period.
Looks like Kerry stood in front of the camera to hide that Jeff may have been having a tough time playing.
?
Uma coisa que eu nunca entendi é porque o Dave Lombardo não foi prestigiado devidamente pela banda
I can only imagine the start of a slayer rehearsal:
"Should we play something slower to begin? Idk, raining blood?"
Lol
Shame we couldn't properly hear Jeff's amp here.
