    In this video, I've got a John Deere 8310R that has a major hydraulic leak on the ILS valve block and has regeneration faults. You will learn how to properly bleed the pressure down on the ILS, fix the leak, calibrate the ILS, and learn what to look for when it will not complete a regeneration.

    Wanted to say thank you for what you're doing for our industry. I am a New Holland field service tech and often put in late nights and long years. My wife puts your videos on for our 2 year old son to help explain what I do and now he's absolutely enthralled. He's always trying to fix his things because it's important to him. So thank you for making the often miserable job something my family has become more proud of in me.

    I enjoy your video as I'm a equipment mechanic in New Zealand did a stint with the yellow dealer and do miss the dealer challenges that you get from time to time.
    Might cross the line and go green as our dealer here does ag ce and forestry Deere gear and also the wirtgen dealers.
    Keep up the videos man really enjoy them and the story telling too.

    The smaller o-ring appears to have taken a set (compression set). The Boss O-ring seems ok, but I’d definitely change every O-ring. The Backup Rings should be fine, as they merely prevent extrusion of the elastomeric seal into the e-gap.

    I find it very interesting that what you were looking for and seeing on the emissions side of that tractor is exactly what the parameters are for the school buses I work on here in Florida. Curious if John Deere uses Cummins engines? The school buses I work on have the Medium duty 6.7L Cummins in them.

    • @nar8410
      @nar8410 Рік тому

    On those ils valve blocks there’s little dime valves under those solenoids you changed, you have to watch and make sure they don’t fall out when you remove the valve, had that happen to me.

    I guess the engineer that decided to put that valve block right there hasn't ever been in a field before. I would think corn stalks or sorghum stalks would be extremely hard on the wiring and solenoids. They could have at least designed a shield to cover it. I guess most everyone runs stalk cutters on their corn heads now, but they should have made a shield for it.

    Does JD have a torque spec for the solenoid coil nuts? On some solenoid cartridges, you can literally pull the body apart if you over tighten the nut. These ILS cartridges must be pretty stout based on how much you appeared to tighten them. As always, great video.

    I am an older, retired you tuber, I happened on your channel maybe a year or so ago. Before my little mild venting, I would like to say, I think you do a good job. I am not a farmer, my generations before me were kind of, maybe subsistence farming in the Southern Appalachian area. I mention my background so as to put my comments in perspective.
    As you mentioned at the end, the tractor owner needed to put it to work to accomplish some work.
    The Federal government has went totally crazy on all their pollution requirements for outdoor farming equipment, because the government can not or refuses to think.
    Manhattan, and LA need pollution control, probably? Do farmers in Illinois, growing food, etc. for thousands of non farmers need pollution control on their expensive equipment, I think not.
