Question is what is that chip and if it comes defective from the factory? Is Apple getting cheap parts?
Bassotronics he clearly stated it. It’s the U2 IC which blows from cheap knockoff cables. You should only use MFi cables or the U2 IC will blow to save other parts of the board.
My iphone 7 plus battery is 95% everything was working fine but suddenly my dog chewed and destroyed my iphone charger while my phone was charging. After that my phone gets really hot and my battery drains so fast. It takes more than 12 hours to fully charge it and drains the battery in an hour without using it. What should i do?

I have a Redmi Note 4, one day the phone couldn't power ON even after connecting charger, i took it for repairing, guy told me power IC needs to be replaced and he did it. But since then my phone battery would drain very fast, there's is no unusual jump or down in battery percentage, it drains linearly. sometimes network would disappear. I opened and checked my phone I noticed there was no steel casings on any IC on motherboard. Please suggest what could be the probable cause 🙏

sdnalyam I’m sure their diagnostic tool can point out the exact problem but they can’t fix it. They’ll give you a replacement unit.

Wow. Fantastic. Is the only way to tell if a cable is a crappy cable is from the price. I usually just use the cables provided by Apple since I have a ton of them. But occasional use a puregear charging lightning cable which cost me $29.99. Now do I know I’m safe just because my cable was almost $30 dollars or are there better ways to tell a bad cable???
