That's awesome 🎉🎉
You have a pair of big eyes that are good at discovering🙏
@@kingsener how much wold you charge for that
no this is retarded, SD cards were amazing.
what the program? To dfu
I don’t think the Apple Store technicians are even close to anywhere this level of expertise.
Thank you for not putting any annoying music over this.
totally agree
OK, most people like ASMR.
Especially corny trap beats
Why
exactly!
Even Apple repair shops don't have this level of skill.
Absolutely 😂
No shit Sherlock
Do you really think they have repair shop? I'm not so sure...
I think this is like the factory that does the official repair too 😅 or even near the assembly factory
Apple is part of organized crime.
My dude master level genius 💪
Me : selecting 512gb option at checkout instead 😂
Two things amazed me here! The first was grinding the factory NAND away and the second was the spinny glue removal thing! Brilliant video 🙏
No fuss. No annoying music. No needless explanation. Just master level perfection.

Yeah but the sad thing is the average youtube channel is not sustainable like this.
@@kidcoma1340 True :(
I didnt expect the factory NAND to be vaporaized! LMAO!
Same I thought it was gonna be desoldered like usually
I was not expecting them to CNC the factory NAND out of existence! Never seen that technique before!
Thats one way to get rid of memory. Literally vaporizing it.
Does anyone know why he CNC'd/destroyed the original NAND off compared to just desoldering it?
@kninezbanks maybe heat needed to desolder it would damage surrounding components. Cheaper and essier to CNC it off especially if you dont need to reuse the old NAND.
I work with electronics as an hobby for more than 50 years. Mobile devices became top notch technical gear that is very hard to handle but you have done a great job in all aspects. And the video is very well made. No annoying music.
Funtastic !!
First of all, I wouldn't even attempt this...I must say I have not seen such a skill on a UA-cam video. I am very impressed, he makes it look so easy. Well done!

Most professional phone teardown/upgrade/repair video I've seen! This was top level stuff!
so clinically done. never seen a video like this for repair.
Bro has a factory of his own for sure🙂👍
Apple: our NAND flash is so integrated, that it's impossible to replace unless you literally machine it off the board. Surely no repair shop would do that!
The repair shop: 5:24
😂👍You are a professional.
@@kingsener 😜
I was surprised that you literally destroyed it off the board, that's sick. I love your work
@@user-nq6hf5nt8z yeah its was so suprised I think he just gonna replace that NAND, but wow cool destroy it and no damage to below surface of the Original Nand
You really think this is a repair shop 😂?
With all of this advanced and expensive equipments
That's so much easier than putting in a 512GB SD card, glad phone companies are being smart allowing people to have whatever ROM they want.
ROM? No.

Ooookeeee we “just” saw the watchmaker among the smartphone repairs. Respect!
As an Apple Technical Expert (repair technician) for several years, this seriously impressed me. I was getting ready to cringe the whole video. But the precision and care was just 🤌🏻 You even have some tools that we don’t 😅 I’ve seen so many botched repair on UA-cam and in person where I can tell they either don’t know what they’re doing or just don’t care. Most of the time in person it’s because they want to do it as quickly and cheaply as possible to squeeze in more repairs. 3rd party repairs are almost never the answer, for those same reasons. Apple repairs are very streamlined, so finding someone that can do this level of work and you’re likely going to pay the same or more than you would at Apple. Good stuff!
I'm surprised Apple even has repair technicians considering most staff at there stores mostly tell people to just dispose of their old iPhone and buy a new one because it would be cheaper than an iPhone repair.
@@johnphillips4783 Not really. We’re not trained to upsell. We don’t work on commission so I couldn’t care less what you do with your device. If I genuinely feel a customer would benefit more from a new phone rather than a repair, then I will tell them that.
Average day as an apple repair tech: "We don't fix those.. or those.. not those either.. not repairable.. you need to buy a new one.. we can repair this but it's $600"
Maybe if Apple made their devices more repairable, you wouldn't see so many botched repair videos.
@@johnphillips4783 We do a lot of repairs. We’re not incentivizing to upsell anyone. And we don’t make commission. So I don’t care what you do with your phone. But if I genuinely feel someone will benefit more from a new phone over a repair, I’m going to tell them. Stay sour.
@@Sir_Zak Don’t break your stuff. Just like car insurance, Apple Care is there and optional. If you total your car are you going to get mad at the manufacturer for not having insurance? You take the risk.

This guy did it the way I would want to do(but cant actually do it with this amount of precision)
Truly satisfying upgrade.
Didn’t expect this to be an ASMR video. So many tingles.
Really a satisfying upgrade. It was cleanly done. kudos!
Amazing. Never seen a NAND removed like that. Cleanest replacement I have ever seen.
I was shocked the moment you cleared the Chip with CNC ..... but you did a great job. Well done.
My maw dropped when the chip got milled off the board XD
Also, I've never seen the residual glue cleaned out like this, very nice!
Wow, didn’t expect you to basically destroy the old chip! I’ve seen others do this and they just remove/install a new one
By the looks of what he did it looks like apple is trying to counter this by adding tones of tinny components right near it plus the epoxy around the edges. chipping the epoxy risk slipping and popping a component and heat will risk moving losing components also when the ic is removed. I was shocked as well when I saw the drill but this hole prosses was clean. I mean he even made it air tight again witch when I had a screen replaced they didn't even bother to do. That was on a Samsung note 9 witch I paid $700 for and the screen replacement was $350. so half the price of the phone and i lost a feature I used a log( fish pictures are cool)
Yes, this is a convenient, fast and safe method.

I spent just less than 100 USD upgrading my 64g ipad mini6 to 512g in China. Still 50 dollars cheaper than buying a 256g model. It’s not recommended for a new product but especially useful when you find out the storage is not enough after one or two years of using.

Thanks
Hello, the price will vary depending on local conditions. But to be honest, the price is not high here.
@@kingsener 出于好奇,你店里的价格是多少? CN¥ 适合估算。或者港币。
Probably more than getting the 512gb at the time of purchase 😊
Bro deleted that 128 NAND
Yes, they all turned into powder.
Just curious, does this change the 1080p ProRes limit? I.e does the phone just check the phones ID, or does it update based on storage?
Very clean replacement. I have to admit, I’m pretty blown away by the need to mill the old NAND off the board, although I guess hot air will have a much higher chance of moving some tiny passives
Where can I get this service, my phone is only 128gb right now
It is recommended that you find a reliable local company to do the upgrade.
What is the cost of this masterpiece?
Less than $300.
