  • The CX500 build continues with me fabricating an oil catch can for the PCV system! I did this in order to separate the oil from the air exiting the crankcase before it is sent to atmosphere. This will help keep any oil from getting on the ground or the bike in droplet form which makes a mess and is just bad for the environment. This system is ran purely from positive crankcase pressure and has no vacuum signal ran to it so we will see how it works.
    Materials used:
    Schedule 40 6061 aluminum pipe
    1/8" 6061 Aluminum flat stock
    Parts used:
    1/4" NPT to 1/2" hose barb fitting - Local auto parts store
    1/4" NPT drain valve fitting - Local auto parts store
    MISC hoses from HPS - hpsperformance...
    UNI Breather filter - Bought local from a motorcycle shop
    Billet tapped cover - www.dimecitycy...
    Welder used - Used Miller Syncrowave 180SD
    Pure green Tungsten - 3/32
    Gas Lense with #8 cup
    120 amps with peddle
    About 25 CFH
