Let me explain this - courses in general have no value unless you can showcase what you learned and applied from them during interviews. But, will you be shortlisted for an interview or not depends on your resume and resume needs points, one of which is courses. Hence, they are important on paper.

A strong reason to clear it in the first attempt will keep you on track as well as motivated. Once the reason is clear, the fear should cease to exist since you have a clear goal driven by reason in place. Now all you need are actions.

I got 96 percentile in CAT 2022. I only got 50-70 percentile in all the mocks (25-30) that i took last year. Mock scores don't matter much. They are 1.5-2x tougher than actual CAT.
One of my flaws is that I'm not fast enough to learn from text. I necessarily require a teacher or a video solution. I'm happy that I do have a good source for more physical learning.😊 But I'm very poor and bewildered to study and understand at a fast pace from text!😢

Mam this is my second attempt for CAT and I am still not able to recognize my weak sections. In some mocks I score extremely well in VARC, and extremely bad in DILR and Quants, while in some I score well in DILR and bad in others. My mock scores are fluctuating between 30-80 marks. Sure! Personally I feel IPM is an expensive program. Most students who opt for it are financially well-off or are gunning for the IIM tag early on. I personally feel one should do graduation, get some work-ex and then go for an MBA.

In the academics page it is mentioned that we need to calculate maximum marks of all the subjects mentioned in the marksheet, but my sixth subject was physical education for which I didn't appear. So it mentioned absent in my theory column and 30 in practical. Do I need to include this subject for aggregate percentage? Really confused. Please reply

GDPI matters a lot, after CAT it is the only thing that counts!

Scored 94 in cmat and 96.9 in mhcet but still getting average colleges like indira, met, chetana, etc. Ma'am please guide me on what shall I do - give cat 23 again taking another drop or settle for these colleges. You can surely push your score higher, the gap won't be an issue, your profile is certainly great, so don't settle.

I am filling my cat form. In the academics page it is mentioned that we need to calculate maximum marks of all the subjects mentioned in the marksheet, but my sixth subject was physical education for which I didn't appear. So it mentioned absent in my theory column and 30 in practical. Do I need to include this subject for aggregate percentage?

You can still get in, the problem occurs at the time of placements. Hence, it's important to build your profile but you can do it after XAT/CAT

If you wish to refer to the basics, use Arun Sharma or Nishit K Sinha's books. For past year papers, use Oswaal Books.

If having a choice, then should MBA be done with/without work-ex after graduation? If yes then what's the ideal work-ex duration to get?
Ideally, 2 years of work-ex before MBA helps - both in understanding the concepts better as well as getting placed well.

I personally believe no one coaching is perfect. It's all about finding the one that suits you - i.e. whose explanation is clear to you. So watch their demo videos or YT videos and then decide.

You need not do any courses right now, focus only on CAT. After CAT you can do courses and that won't be any problem.

am a working professional presently working in the armed forces. I have completed almost 8 years in service and will be retiring from service in next 2 years. I feel this is the right time to prepare myself for a career post retirement.

The reason it's suggested to finish the syllabus earlier if possible is to ensure revision and defining your attempt strategy. Else you'll keep thinking the low mock scores are due to the incomplete syllabus
