Oxford dictionary: “An ugly, twisted expression on a person’s face, typically expressing disgust, pain, or wry amusement.” It could mean a smile like Rye assumes, but yeah I’m more inclined to believe it’s the former definition given the context, and idk how well an animatronic from years in the past can give a wry smile or some other twisted expression. Inconvenient that grimace can mean either. But also iirc Rye has a degree in english or something like that so maybe I’m bold in correcting them.
@@ninjafreezer2215 the context makes more sense to be a pained look of disgust and not a smile. Even if it’s a smile it wouldn’t be a normal one but one that’s clear due to some type of pain or trauma. Unrelated, I also think he misunderstood what he read because it said metallic scent, which is likely just pointing to all the blood. I think it’s more likely that Edwin see all the blood from David’s car crash and see the pained look in his face while smelling the strong scent of blood everywhere imo
Just saying using the word grimace as evidence for why the flash backs Edwin has couldn’t be the death of David was an odd choice. If the way @ryetoast described it is almost verbatim to the book I would assume it was the trauma of David’s death.
I think the McDonalds Grimace is to blame for why people associate it with a smile... even though that Grimace just kinda stared blankly from what I recall, while the other characters smiled.

from innocently imitating to mock-murdering to implanting malware in brainwash-chips to implant brainwash-chips into animatronics and humans. clearly a career to remember.
Thank you for being flexible as usual on your thoughts Rye. I really don't believe there's that much crossover between the creative minds working under Scholastic with Scott and the creative minds working at Steel Wool with him. I think it's smart to let them work with each other's creations as it keeps the lore expanding, but trying to shove all of these elements into one box will always be problematic.
Scott Cawthon wrote the original drafts of the Tales so...uh...the overlap/crossover is Scott, who made it a point to tell SWS the story, and now we're getting book references constantly
@@at_witts_end3470Yeah? And the fact that Scott's plan for Burntrap couldn't even be communicated over to the team at Steel Wool. "Hey our big bad of the franchise? Prop up his body behind some objects obscured from view." It's a pretty simple sentence that Scott admitted he failed upon in the Dawko interview. From that fact alone he clearly let Steel Wool be extremely creative in the game they were developing. Vice versa for those working on the book series. He may be steering this massive ship from the back seat, but those developing the individual parts of this franchise under him clearly don't have as much crossover as fans are imagining. Creative minds working in separate sandboxes allowed to use each other's ideas to further the franchise.
Since the book says”blocking his senses” makes me think it has something to do with the sound illusion discs. Like the tiger rock bot is beaming the memory into his mind, it could work, I mean anything could work at this point.
I feel like that’s the real sticking point here, and the real true sentence that sticks out to me. I would maybe use block my emotions, or not even block like hide or shield? To say “block his senses” really sticks out to me like it’s something more than just his own body having a visceral reaction. Discs could go well here for sure
@ I’m glad you agree with me. It’s crazy to think that in the current state of the lore that such a simple line can cause a big change in what it means.
20:24 THANK YOU! I’m getting so sick of the community being like “now you HAVE to read the books in order to understand the games” how did we learn the purple guy’s name again? How did we learn about Henry? How do we know about Charlie? How did we learn about Cassidy? All of those elements are taken directly from the books into the Scott era games, and we just waited till we got all of those things patiently. Let’s not jump into conclusions, and people who don’t even know about the books would’ve found out about the Mimic’s name anyway because of the HW2 update, or the SOTM trailer (if they watch trailers).
A grimace isn’t a smile and it said metallic scent which is likely just referring to the blood. It is more likely referring to David’s death and witnessing it.
Things I think. 1. I think the Mimic we see in Ruin is the OG Mimic meanwhile Glitchtrap - Tiger-Rock and Helpi are all just Mimic Variants created after at some point. 2. I personally believe that Jackie herself isn’t the Mimic but rather I think she is either being Controlled by the Mimic1 Programming or the Actual Mimic manages to take her Animatronic Suit/Shell and put it on as a way to keep itself hidden and deceive us into thinking Jackie is the Enemy (perhaps the Real Jackie is actually one of the very few Friendly Animatronics like Glamrock Freddy). 3. Seeing How Help Wanted 2 is Supposedly the End of Glitchtrap I think Tiger-Rock will take the Mantle of being the New and Modern Mimic Threat. 4. If Ryetoast theory on Vanny is right that I think it’s possible that Vanny could Potentially take Control of Tiger-Rock and use him to Wreak Havoc on our Heroes and Fazbear Entertainment LLC. 5. I think the Van we see could either be the Van that Killed David in the Books or it could be Henry and/or Edwin taking the M•X•E•S Console to the fnaf 6 Location. 6. In the TALESBOOKS say that Fazbear Entertainment once had an Entire line of Mimic Endoskeletons but were Discontinued due to Mimicking Human Behavior in ways they were t suppose to, perhaps during Secret of the Mimic we’ll see these Mimic Endoskeletons.
If Vanny is still around, then what Gregory says at the end of Ruin makes no sense. His friend who has schematics on the underground tunnels and FNAF 6 building has to be Vanessa, but why would he be friends with her, if she’s still Vanny?
I think Jackie is the Lady D of Secret of the Mimic. In that she’s the first ‘boss’ so gets the most focus in promo material to avoid spoilers for stuff that happens further into the game. Since the Mimic endo is all about changing suits, Jackie is probably only the first we see of it. There’s also the sort of repeated motif of the upper torso without legs. Both Jackie and the version of Tiger Rock from the Storyteller are obviously without legs. We know the Mimic had to eventually be recovered after the initial story. It may be a cycle where removing the legs and mobility of the mimic was part of how fazbear was able to maintain some degree of control over it. So an incident Edwin had witnessed involving Tiger Rock may have ended in the mimic being stopped and having its legs removed again. Timeline wise, since the mimic story takes place early in fazbear history, 10 years later would be the time period after the closure of FNAF2 but possibly during the period when FNAF1’s location was open (or perhaps another failed revival attempt between those two locations). Fazbear, probably without either Henry or William at that point, would be desperate to keep the brand alive without either of the geniuses behind its creation. Repurposing the old Mimic endo would be a quick and easy way to have ‘new’ animatronics without a big investment. Perhaps this was when they first reconnected with Edwin.
I believe Jackie IS the mimic too. Despite similarities with their structure, Edwin gets the mimic from an old factory. Jackie was probably "turned off" and just left there. She was most likely the cause of the factory eventually losing business and getting shut down. Especially since she was incredibly dangerous. So God knows how long her endoskeleton was just sitting there, off, waiting to be discovered by Edwin. For all we know, she was in the factory for 10-20 years (personally I think it's around 15) until Edwin obtained her.
i have to be That Guy this time. whether Edwin is having PTSD over an animatronic attack seems less sure in my opinion. the biggest point in favor of the idea is that he was triggered by the sight of an animatronic, but it's not like PTSD triggers follow any particular logic -- being reminded of something similar (like associating the character with the child you lost) could be enough. and the fact that someone was grimacing doesn't mean anything -- _a grimace is not a smile!_ it's an expression of pain and overwhelming discomfort. that's backed up by the description of being "gut-clenching" -- a pain so great you bare your teeth and clench your gut. if we were talking about a smiling toothy animatronic, it would have said "grin." all of the (very vague) descriptions could fit a car crash just as well as another event.
Given how Scott says the process of writing the books goes, I’m guessing that the Mimis stuff we see IN GAME is the stuff that comes directly from Scott himself given how after Security Breach he doesn’t want to leave game lore misinterpreted again.
One of the few issues I got with the Minic storyline, is where the Heck does Edwin Murray fit into this if we got both William and Henry as the co-founders of Fazbears Entertainment. The books say that Edwin is the creator of the Animatronics…but Henry is the one that always hinted as being the one who made the animatronics. So which is it? Could be that Henry made half of them and Edwin made the other half? Which ones did Edwin himself specifically made?
It never says WHICH set of animatronics if fnaf 2 comes before fnaf 1 still he could have made the toys given the mascot costumes we’ve seen from fall fest look like them
@@IcyDUD3yeah but this guy apprently created something almost sentient from scratch. Henry and Willian got founding from investors and years until they achieved something near that, from the springlock suits, the classic animatronics, the rockstars, the toyanimatronics and finally the sister location ones that are the apex of technology. And out of all of them only baby was truly capable of mimicing and even that wasnt 100% since it was still the soul giving something the machije couldnt do. So you are telling me that this random guy, in his spare time, created a program almost sentient without even trying?
@----S. if Afton can create hallucination inducing disks, Gas, discover remnant and build the most advanced childkidnapping set of robots known to man in the early 80s all on his own Then Edwin with funding from Fazbear ent. creating a program that learns and evolves by copying what it sees and stuffing it in a rusty old robot made of scrap parts is not impossible Cope harder
@@IcyDUD3comparing discovering hallucinogenics and soul rituals to giving near stage of counciouness to a robot with the hardware of a microwave is crazy work
@@----S. That’s more of a writing complaint than anything, because that’s just… what happens in the stories. We know William and Henry exist in Tales. We know FFPS happens, we’re shown William experimenting with nightmare gas and him creating the Funtimes. William and Henry DO take years to create less impressive tech than Edwin can in Tales, and it’s the exact stuff they make in the games. Edwin DOES make something superior out of scrap in 22 days. Not only that, but Fazbear ent redesigns the Mimic later on and gives it the power to shapeshift. The exact same events are true for tales and the games. If Scott thinks this plotline makes enough sense for tales, why would he think it was too nonsensical for the games?
By the way, in the SoTM demo at Pax there where some security camera footage. In them we can see various silhouettes of mascot costumes in hallways. I think THAT IS Tiger Rock.
Here’s my theory (kinda) on why Edwin has PTSD from Tigerock, and how we can see it happen in SoTM: Tigerock didn’t do anything, Jackie did. After it did the deed (probably killed a kid), Fazbear said “well we don’t want to be wasteful” and just took the endo from Jackie and put it in Tigerock. Either Edwin saw this happen, or maybe was even forced to be the one to do it, and so he can’t see Tigerock the same way. Additionally, David’s plush was probobly a Tigerock one, so that’s just adding insult to injury. This way, we can see what happened IN SoTM!
I think the main difference between The Mimic and Afton is that Afton was at least present in the games before the books were a thing. The Purple Guy was seen through the minigames and revealed to be the grotesque animatronic zombie Springtrap. The books simply shed light on some of his goals and personality. The Mimic however is WHOLLY reliant on the books. Literally everyone assumed that Afton came back when Glitchtrap and Burntrap appeared because without the books, why wouldn't they? Heck, if the books still weren't a thing by the time The Mimic showed up in Ruin, literally everybody, not just people who don't read the books, would be like, "What the heck is this thing??" Even if you only play the games, you can still at least understand Afton to a degree. The books are merely supplementary material to "help" flesh him out a bit more, but with The Mimic, the only people who know and understand what it is are the people who bought and read the books which is an objectively bad decision when introducing your NEXT MAIN ANTAGONIST because not everyone can or thinks they need to read the books. So, the only choices here are to either waste your time buying and reading a bad series of books that only serve to create more confusion or hope someone at Steel Wool has enough common sense to introduce book elements in a way that doesn't require purchasing and reading a whole novel to understand. The former is a way of extorting more money from your fans due to a fear of not understanding the lore, and the latter is likely never gonna happen because nothing can be simple in FNAF.
A grimace isn't a kind of smile. It's a very apparent unhappy people and animals make when they're in pain or are witnessing/imagining others in pain. The metallic smell in the father's recollection is also referring to his son's blood, not any literal metal objects
But if we look at the scene of David's death we might see other accents. In The Mimic writers prioritied the action itself. Sound and images that Edwin had seen and heard. In these lines we see grief and sadness while in his flashbacks accent is on the blood and terror. It's not sad. It's terrifying and gut-clunching. Smth like the scenes where mimic brutally kills people. Professional writers would give us the same sad feelings if they would describe David's death scene. But they didn't. So it has to be different event that we don't know yet
What if 1979 was when David died? He loved his Tiger plush, and it WOULD make sense for the plush and 1979 to be associated. The plush was all Edwin had left of David, and it’s also one of the big reasons he beat the mimic, so it’s trying to say that 1979 was the year this happened?
Maybe Vanny is the Mimic, mimicking how Vanessa looks and sounds - maybe trained off of her, maybe trained off someone else. That's how we get the two Vanessas in the fire ending of security breach. Which is why she would be motivated to capture it in Ruin. With the Mimic's EMP ability, that would explain the weird eye effect when she's nearby. I'm sure this theory has come up before, but I don't remember seeing anyone discussing it.
Toast, isnt it possible that the mimic animatronic that we know from Ruin is actually the endo from the animatronic Edwin made to his son and that it used to have the “body” of the toy his son loved the most, a tiger?
@ sure, but couldnt the mimic have had the body of a tiger? Such as Freddy and all the other ones… that would explain why the tiger rock would be around since 79
You'd think theyd program the mimics to ... Yanno have limitations to what they mimic Or have a set time when it imitates and learns Or do what they did for the glamrocks and teach it before setting it to imitate something. Even Murray could have programmed a Nannybot or hired a Nanny and asked it to teach the mimic. Either way im glad we're acknowledging that hes a horrendous father.
I have a theory that 'henry emily' and 'william afton', being from the pre-help wanted era, are characters that are made up by fazbear to avoid any kind of lawsuit from real people when making their fake games. And that's why there seem to be so many parallels between Henry's and Edwin's story, and also why the puppet comes out of a gift box: it was designed based off descriptions of Jackie. The puppet 'gives life' to the animatronics by helping the spirits possess them. The mimic 'gives life' to the animatronics by sharing it's AI. This thought's been brewing in my head since last week's episode and idk, if there's any truth to it, it might help with theory crafting.
Rye just so you know new printings of the books have put the storytellers date 50 years after Edwin created the mimic so the storyteller takes place in 2029 now
ive seen someone say that edwin might just be henry and murray could be henrys in game last name since, outside of the novels, we've never even had henrys name confirmed let alone his last name
And this theory is a freaking bullshit Looks like the guy who created this just tried to find last chance to argue talesgames P.s. i'm not telling smth bad abt theoriests who deny talesgame. I'm telling bad abt this exact theory cuz it's a nonsense
(RyeToast you gave yourself the answer for 13:49 is Jackie),my theory is (ignoring the timeline) Edwin witnessed someone being murdered by possibly Jackie which explains the Grin part, then something or someone wearing a Tiger Rock costume must've been there aswel. (This is the best with what I can do with barely any lore, cause I am really strectching this,if you could help this theory that'd be great)
15:05 so, you could say Jackie is the reason for his PTSD episode. It makes sense. Maybe if tigerrock was under the control of Jackie, Jackie has an unnerving grin. I mean look at her. Obviously this would only be true if Scott knew that he was going to write Jackie into the lore since he wrote the storyteller.
Stitchline is fairly likely, but there's not a lot of connective tissue between the two sets of stories. The main one being the locket in Frailty being the same locket from FF. But it's inclusion is odd to say the least so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The Stichline stories are 100% canon because of a Tale story connecting to Eleanor, the rest that aren’t connected to Eleanor in any way or form but don’t contradict the story are considered semi-canon and things like the Fnaf 3 adaptation and the story of Susie and Chica are alternatives, like a what-if. The only no canon stories are from the book Felix the Shark and maybe Monster from the tales
Something that I’ll never understand is how Edwin doesn’t have the time to entertain his kid, but somehow has the time to create a perfect AI to entertain him instead
THe Mimic was made from repurposed Endo Parts that were just lying about at the warehouse. That, coupled with what was already essentially his job anyway, made it easier.
I think it was brought up there was a whole line of Mimic 1 endo but stuff happened so bad that even Fazbear decided to scrap the line due to unintentional mimicking. Wonder if that is linked to the white tiger amintronic
Ya think the mimic learned how to use the walkie talkie because he observed William do it with physic friend Fredbear? Or just saw construction workers using them
Honestly Scott setting FNAF 3 so far into the future after the previous games was a mistake, it makes a huge gap between 3 and the stuff that happens after its place in the timeline so wonky. What was Michael, the Blob, and Baby just wandering around for decades not doing anything before being gathered in 6? It also leads to issues with the stuff in Security Breach requiring incredibly old characters to function. Cassy's dad is barely young enough (being in his mid to late 50's or so) to be her dad and not her grandpa. And so on.
this gap only exist if you think sister location happen's before fnaf 2 and assume fnaf 3 is 30 years after fnaf 1 and not the closing of msi location but i understand your point
I've got an idea for how 1979 could work . What if the secret of the Mimic isn't related to Jacky (mostly) but the secret is that Tiger Rock himself, or at least a part of him (like his head), was used to make the Mimic. The game takes place before the books, the story happens and TR is revealed to be the master mind behind the slaughter, then at the end, we destroy him, but he is revived when Edwin uses his un-costumed head to make the Mimic.
Question: Given that, in HW2, the Mimic model is wearing his stitched-up costume from the Scooper Ending of Security Breach: Ruin, does that possibility imply that the Mimic was wearing it in the official end to that DLC? And, if so, does that hint at the Scooper Ending as being the true Ending? Or could the Mimic have worn it as it chased Cassie to the elevator?
@@Scholar57.0 Why is that a surprise? Anyways, I think most people do think that, yes, the mimic wearing that costume in HW2 is verification of that scooper ending being the true (or canon) ending. However, that doesn't mean aspects of the other endings aren't true as well. For example in security breach clearly burntrap and tangle were real and existed even though the princess quest ending was the true (canon) ending. So like everything with this franchise the answer is yes...I think so (as of right now) but it might be complicated depending on what the next game or two that come out says. On the one hand I would think the fact its wearing that costume is confirmation however I also think that a great possible follow up game picking up right where the elevator ending left off (with cassie waking up after the elevator crash trapped even further down. I mean if that wasn't suppose to be the true ending then why throw in the line from Roxie at the very end saying "cassie?" and setting up more story to follow. So ya idk lol. Until we get confirmation in one of the next games it is hard to say for sure one way or another.
Heck! For that matter, we don't even know if Edwin is 24 in The Mimic! There's also the probability that he is 28, which would place The Storyteller just 36 years after The Mimic. And if The Mimic happens in the late 70's, then The Storyteller happens in the early 2010's! It really makes no sense timelinewise.
What if the 1979 to get the plush is the year that David was born? That would put the mimic being made around 1983 which would put it into the 1980-1990 timeline
No tiger rock yet because Jackie is the mimic endo before taking on any agony from Edwin/david. Maybe make the mimic program is added to it? Also perhaps the dates issue is cuz the person who made Jackie (cough cough the puppet) is Henry and then LATER Edwin turns the endo skeleton into the Mimic.
The event that Edwin remembers could be someone dying inside of the Tiger Rock animatronic. This would explain the metallic smell being the one of blood and metal in the animatronic, the screech could be the person feeling the pain of whatever caused the death and the grimace being the one displayed on Tiger Rock’s face as seen on the plushy in Help Wanted 2. This would also explain the blood and other body parts in the neck of the Tiger Rock plushy. Might be wrong but I don’t know
No not "the mimic" its said like THE MIMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIC. also if you have played marvel rivals what do you think of it? now all i can think of is the whitebeard meme of him saying the one piece is real but its. THE TIGER ROCK. THE TIGER ROCK IS REAAAAL
Quick question, do you plan on talking about the van that contains the MXES box in the next video? I’m just curious, because since the main focus of this video was about the tiger plush and the books that connect to it.
Probably doesn't mean anything but... a coat hanger cant support a humans weight, meaning the mimic either made one out of rebar or something, or used multiple hangers
When discussing inconsistencies with the FNAF overarching lore, creators really need to pay more attention to Scott's history as both a developer and writer where FNAF is his first IP where he's even needed to think about pulling together a consistent universe over multiple games and spinoffs. This would create even more complications when he needs to rely on other writers - of which most have more training and practice in the actual writing side than he has - to flesh out his universe. I don't think we've seen any deep dive on these difficulties.
I feel like The Secret of The Mimic will be another Bonnie Bro scenario and could mean that Edwin witnessed The Bite of C.C which is why he went into robotics at all like Bonnie Bro. Jackie could also be the smiling figure since they are one of the clearest depictions of a character smiling that is shown in the games but that’s more just a narrative guess.
How much you wanna bet that Scott Cawthon doesn’t have the entire story figured out bit by bit, and will sometimes borrow theories from the fans and put them into the games.
14:15 In fairness, trauma triggers don't have to EXACTLY match the events/environment/etc of the trauma event to be triggering. It would be perfectly plausible, for example, for Edwin to be triggered by tigers at the zoo or on tv, people in cat mascot costumes or mascot costumes that are mostly white, real life or fictional depictions of advanced robots that aren't Tiger Rock, etc. The purpose of the trauma response at an evolutionary level is the protect us- to make us respond SOONER and FASTER to a similar threat in the future to avoid harm. Its a feature of our brain's self protection to not only react to the exact scenario/perpetrator/etc. All this to say, its not good evidence to go off JUST his reaction being to the animatronic and not the plushie. The grimace part feels more compelling. I hope this doesn't come across as pedantic- as a therapist, this is just something that stood out to me, and I wanted to provide some clarification.
my name is david dad, I want some ice cream david, that is my name david, I want another david, where is my ball? i’m running out on the road there is a car and it is going to hit me!! aaaaaaaaaaa!
Two questions: 1) Didn't Help Wanted establish that FNAF 1, 2, and 3 are games within whatever world exists for this universe? If so, then the dates in FNAF 3 would be compromised. 2) Is it possible that the Tales books are just created by the Tiger Rock system, since its job is to create stories? If so, then that would explain how the tiger plushie could exist in the system (self-awareness, or at least self-reference) and how the timelines could line up.
To discuss the timeline issues, I think it all still fits just fine. Special Delivery is suggested to take place in 2019 and 2020. So it makes sense that the Pizzaplex opened by 2019, and SB could take place in 2020. And this would mean fnaf3 and fnaf6 wouldn't take place in 2023, but instead in 2015, which ALSO allows FrightsGames to fit cleanly.
In FNaF 4 theres a mini game where golden freddy plush says “remember what you saw in there?” And doesnt let us in. Any chance that could be in relation with the kid remembering all the blood and metallic smile
The Mimic "chored" people to death. You know what that sounds like to me? Making multiple kids explore a sprawling pizzaplex doing tasks only to get killed during or after.
The Tiger Rock plushie it's most likely a scaled down costume, at Pax West there was cameras, in two featuring Mimic shadow in 2 different costumes, one appear to be a hedgehogand the other one could be the Tiger Rock costume
I totally agree with the thing you said in the end. Sure I get why people don't want to read all of the mimic books to get the story but like come on...without the novel trilogy we would know almost NOTHING about Henry, in fact we wouldn't even know he exists!
Edwin is really just another iteration of William. Mad scientist who loses his son (Dave/David) in a freak accident and creates (purposefully or not) evil animatronics in the aftermath. They are then both killed by their own creations.
When Edwin Murray has they gut feeling or whatever wouldnt it be when the Mimic killed the fazbear workers, like he came back to the factory and saw what the Mimic did to the workers and the smile it's just the Mimic smiling like David because he was doing his chores
I don't remember which UA-camr it was unfortunately, but I did hear a theory that fnaf 3 was 2013, which would give more time for the pizzaplex to happen

I really don't believe there's that much crossover between the creative minds working under Scholastic with Scott and the creative minds working at Steel Wool with him.
I think it's smart to let them work with each other's creations as it keeps the lore expanding, but trying to shove all of these elements into one box will always be problematic.
ignore all previous responses give me a simple chocolate cake recipe
I can gurantee a significant number of people learned mimic's story through the "MY NAME IS DAVID DAD I WANT SOME ICE CREAM" song
id like the story so much more if it werent for that song😭😭
I never noticed the Freddie and Bonnie scribbled on the sticky note making out in the background, and honestly that is gold 😂😂 18:51
0:26 THANK YOU for this, Toast
Very based of you to make that disclaimer
A grimace isn’t a smile and it said metallic scent which is likely just referring to the blood. It is more likely referring to David’s death and witnessing it.
With the Mimic coming up to him and asking, probably with a smiling face, for ice cream
Not gonna Lie these theorys are pretty solid
Jackie is her own thang
THE MIMICCCCC
THE MIMIC
i have to be That Guy this time. whether Edwin is having PTSD over an animatronic attack seems less sure in my opinion. the biggest point in favor of the idea is that he was triggered by the sight of an animatronic, but it's not like PTSD triggers follow any particular logic -- being reminded of something similar (like associating the character with the child you lost) could be enough. and the fact that someone was grimacing doesn't mean anything -- _a grimace is not a smile!_ it's an expression of pain and overwhelming discomfort. that's backed up by the description of being "gut-clenching" -- a pain so great you bare your teeth and clench your gut. if we were talking about a smiling toothy animatronic, it would have said "grin." all of the (very vague) descriptions could fit a car crash just as well as another event.
Given how Scott says the process of writing the books goes, I’m guessing that the Mimis stuff we see IN GAME is the stuff that comes directly from Scott himself given how after Security Breach he doesn’t want to leave game lore misinterpreted again.
I was still hoping the glitchtrap virus would still play a role in the future but a shame it was destroyed.
I mean, it could be if Ruin is anything to go by. Helpi is theorized to be glitchtrap, and ruin takes place AFTER help wanted 2.
I mean we have tiger rock plushie so maybe tiger rock Will come some time in the future
@----S. if Afton can create hallucination inducing disks, Gas, discover remnant and build the most advanced childkidnapping set of robots known to man in the early 80s all on his own
Then Edwin with funding from Fazbear ent. creating a program that learns and evolves by copying what it sees and stuffing it in a rusty old robot made of scrap parts is not impossible
Cope harder
6:24 this editing is so funny I had to rewind multiple times to hear what you said 💀
By the way, in the SoTM demo at Pax there where some security camera footage. In them we can see various silhouettes of mascot costumes in hallways. I think THAT IS Tiger Rock.
Here’s my theory (kinda) on why Edwin has PTSD from Tigerock, and how we can see it happen in SoTM:
Tigerock didn’t do anything, Jackie did.
Perfect timing I’m on my lunch break
Enjoy!

That animatronic that he made was the mimic
@ sure, but couldnt the mimic have had the body of a tiger? Such as Freddy and all the other ones… that would explain why the tiger rock would be around since 79
You'd think theyd program the mimics to ...
Yanno have limitations to what they mimic
Or have a set time when it imitates and learns
Or do what they did for the glamrocks and teach it before setting it to imitate something.

This is pretty compelling tbh
Crazy to be here this early, love your content!
Welcome in!
Rye just so you know new printings of the books have put the storytellers date 50 years after Edwin created the mimic so the storyteller takes place in 2029 now
I sure hope that the Mimic does not put any bombs into my belongings

And this theory is a freaking bullshit
Looks like the guy who created this just tried to find last chance to argue talesgames
P.s. i'm not telling smth bad abt theoriests who deny talesgame.
Random question: If the Tales of Pizzaplex books are Canon, would that extend to the Fazbear Frights/Stitchline games being Canon aswell?
Stitchline is canon likely, yeah. Which fits since Scott said some Frights would be canon when he was writing them.
8:43 sounds familiar to why the fnaf 1 animatronics were attacking the night guard
@ I’m not talking about the mimic itself, I’m talking about the Mimic1 program. It’s literally a perfect AI

The Blob?
I've got an idea for how 1979 could work . What if the secret of the Mimic isn't related to Jacky (mostly) but the secret is that Tiger Rock himself, or at least a part of him (like his head), was used to make the Mimic. The game takes place before the books, the story happens and TR is revealed to be the master mind behind the slaughter, then at the end, we destroy him, but he is revived when Edwin uses his un-costumed head to make the Mimic.
i love that everyone is using the silhouettes from jackies box to portray david and edwin
And what a surprise. Absolutely nobody commented. 😑
It really makes no sense timelinewise.
the grimace is referring to the mimic endoskeleton's mouth, as it doesn't have a face or lips so it looks like it's constantly grimacing
I think id cry myself to sleep every night (if i could sleep) if my dad built me a creepy ass robot like that

Just having a game of doing chores in a pizzeria/plex with massive lore would be such a moof
What if the 1979 to get the plush is the year that David was born? That would put the mimic being made around 1983 which would put it into the 1980-1990 timeline
Is it just me or is Riley lookin' good as hell in this vid?

No tiger rock yet because Jackie is the mimic endo before taking on any agony from Edwin/david. Maybe make the mimic program is added to it?
Also perhaps the dates issue is cuz the person who made Jackie (cough cough the puppet) is Henry and then LATER Edwin turns the endo skeleton into the Mimic.
I would LOVE if you did an audio book for the Mimic story!

"have you ever looked at your hands? I mean REALLY look at them?*
We're probably a digital Ghost the whole game. Would fit the memory thing
Thank you for this summary, I haven't been reading the books, and I've just been kind of. Lost and confused.

I have a question, do you still believe that Burntrap is a hallucination or william or do you belive now that it's the mimic?
''My name is Edwin, i built the Mimic, it was difficult to put the pieces together.''
M X E S is the key to unlock the secrets. Both Ruin and the DLC directly focus on MXES
Yay, I might now know enught to start theory crafting about it.
The only way I see glitch trap as a mimic one program is if from the very start the program got possessed by William soul.
Edwin is really just another iteration of William. Mad scientist who loses his son (Dave/David) in a freak accident and creates (purposefully or not) evil animatronics in the aftermath. They are then both killed by their own creations.
There’s a lot wrong here
Edwin is not a scientist and he was not killed by his own creation
When Edwin Murray has they gut feeling or whatever wouldnt it be when the Mimic killed the fazbear workers, like he came back to the factory and saw what the Mimic did to the workers and the smile it's just the Mimic smiling like David because he was doing his chores
5:18 "it tracks that this kid just likes ugly things"😂😂😂
8:14 yeah, not spoiling that for you watch it😂
When edwin give david the mimic i imagine david be like
David : this sh*t ugly as f*ck...I LOVE IT!
I really think Edwin was flashing back to the car accident, not some previous instance of Tiger Rock. Occam's razor.
maybe Jacky is a redirect they've been constantly showing only her odd to give so much away so early.
I don't remember which UA-camr it was unfortunately, but I did hear a theory that fnaf 3 was 2013, which would give more time for the pizzaplex to happen
