- Reviewing my first truck, the all new 2022 Ford Maverick! The 2022 Ford Maverick was rereleased 2021 and boy am I impressed by this tiny truck!
I think trucks are fantastic family cars.. in fact my husband drives a Ram 1500 and it works great for us. I hope to review more trucks in the future, comment below which one you want to see next!

I just received this truck (hybrid) after 6 months of waiting. Family of 4 here with a 3.5yo and a 2yo. I'm 5-10 and my wife is 5-5 and we have Diono Radian 3rxt car seats and to me these are the PERFECT car seats for this truck. I can put them in the center and corner and still take our mother in law confortable with us.
YES! Please do more trucks. really want to know how child seats fit in the midsize truck offerings like Tacoma or frontier.
My husband has a Tacoma and rear-facing carseats are very tight but forward facing carseats fit really good
I didn’t like my sons rear facing car seat behind the passenger seat with me being 5’2 I was too close to the dash. That was in my husbands Tacoma.
tight but doable for a short trip. Do yourself a favor and get at least the Tundra DC. Gas will be killer, but you'll have decent room width and length wise. Another option is the Nissan Titan, Somewhat rare but you usually can get a good deal on them used.
Super pumped you’re doing a truck. Would LOVE to see you get your hands on an F150 lightning and review that. Soooooo much storage space. Thinking of trading in my Prius prime for one when it’s actually possible to get one.

My wife and I have been pouring over videos and reviews of the Maverick for the past three months and waiting for a local dealer to get one on their lot so we can answer the question, "will our two carseats actually (comfortably) fit in the back?" We gave up on getting an answer and submitted an order for one on Monday; your review gave me a lot of confidence in our order. Thanks so much!
Nice, Id like to see the Ridgeline next. Lots of cool storage solutions inside and out, would be cool to see how it works for family hauling
I have watched a ton of reviews but none have really tested out the cup holders and tested the storage spaces. I appreciated it great review! Subscribed!
Yay! Love to see this review, our Lariat Lux Hybrid is supposed to be build by end of January! Was getting nervous about fitting our Rava rear facing for our 10mo but I think we are going to be fine!

I have a Lariat Hybrid, took delivery Jan 3rd. I'm super impressed with the performance of the hybrid and very happy I bought it. I also love the Lariat interior

We owned a Ford Maverick for a short time till we down sized our 2 vehicles for one new Expedition that can hold my 5 kids an we can take off road. I have to say I miss driving that little truck around town soo much! The car mom helped influence the Expedition choice, really love it so far!
Good insights! And the incredible part is that the hybrid is the base model and has an MPG of 50 in a compact truck making it one of the cheapest hybrids around! Incredible job by Ford.

Currently driving and F350 with 2 under 2 so can definitely be a mom car 😉 when we were getting our truck the sale person was wanting to show me all the intricacies of tow weight and such and I was like let me check out the chair seat situation and cup holders 😆

So glad to see you review a truck and how the car seat(s) fit! Can you please also start doing sedans and even compact sedans? I was looking into a Lexus IS but not sure how tight the car seat would be for my 1 year old. Not everyone with kids drive a suv so trucks and other cars etc are appreciated!!

Love that you're 6ft, as soon as I saw you standing, before you even said your height, I could tell you were tall and I got SO excited because as a woman whose just 1.5 inches shy of 6 feet, I was curious to see if someone similar to my height could fit a car seat in the back. I don't have kids, but would like to one day and was hoping I wouldn't have to give up my mav if I ever had any, glad to know it's feasible!

So happy u did this review! My college son has been wanting a truck for the past 4 yrs. Not sure if we should wait for safety ratings and mechanical reliability after couple years. BTW, cute outfit today!
Mechanically you will have no issues. Many don't realize ford blueprinted and perfected the original hybrid and then sold it to the legendary toyota and we all know how the prius holds up, not to mention most taxis for nearly 2 decades in NY were all hyrbids ford escapes. They mostly recorded miles of up 200k-400k miles. The not a cvt it is. ECVT way less maintence way more reliable. This truck is a safe reliable bet!
You should do a Honda Ridgeline! They can hold 3 Graco 4evers in the back.
Can you do an F150? My lease will be up this summer so I need to order something new within the next couple months and for a first time mom idk if I should look at an SUV now. Everyone says lifting the car seat will be a struggle for me. As far as room I know there’s plenty. I’m looking into an Audi Q5 or Lincoln Corsair if you could do a review on those too please.
You should test the Ford Mustang Mach E
The only thing I dislike about the Maverick is the bench back seat. Using the storage with a carseat in the back will be a pain.
Please review a Mustang Mach-E or any other electric suvs. really hoping to switch to electric next !

Could you do a tour of a 2022 Chevy Traverse LS. I have 6 kids and that vehicle seems to be the cheapest 8 passenger SUV
As a short mom (5’2”), who drives a full sized Silverado, I’m personally leaning more towards getting an SUV to replace my truck. Carting around full-size strollers is nice I admit, but grocery pick up in a truck never goes smoothly. They either don’t want to put everything on the passenger side seat/floorboard where there are no kids in car seats, or they don’t tie the bags shut and all of the groceries fly around the back of the truck on the way home. My short self does not appreciate that workout when I get home.

Love it!! I would love the see the big Mercedes SUV and you touch on families with more than 2-3 kids in carseats more often :) for example I’ll have 4 under 6 and have a suburban but maybe I could make a smaller suv work 🙃

We have the F150 powerboost with a supercab and there’s a ton of room for adults on both sides of our car seat. We had the same question 😊

Such a cutie! I do hope people realize that you can't haul THAT much with a unibody design. This would actually be great for us -- I'd use it at the garden center, furniture, etc. I'd love to see you do the Toyota Tacoma. I am all about reliable and long-lasting.

There's a demographic you totally didn't address! This California grandma loves the Maverick too and is eagerly awaiting a blue hybrid model. Its almost 2 hours in bad LA traffic, one way, to see my grandbabies! When I get to their house, there's a huge double stroller to take with if we leave the neighborhood for hikes and outings! Gas is pricy here and I can afford to do more for them since it isn't a pricey truck note!

I find this hilarious. Ford had a car back in the 70’s called a Maverick. I know this because my first car was a royal blue Maverick. They can’t come up with an original name ?
The original Maverick was a very forgettable fairly ugly vehicle. The current Maverick is a much better use of the name.

For a top trim.... the front passenger seat is manual control.... no power adjustable passenger seat for the top trim... FAIL
Ideal for teen driver - with all the blind spots and tall hood? They could easily run over neighbor’s kids. It’s weird to hear worship of SUVs and Trucks from a mum… when these are exactly the biggest risk for KIDs to be missed and ran over
I suppose safety stops with your own kids, other people’s kids may not matter anymore
