hello , and thank u for sharing your dragon fruit experience, i am newbe in dragon fruit , i also have green house of dragon fruit in pots and have same problem should i peel off yellow gelly parts around the root or not? or does it recover by itself?
Hello. Yes just peel off the yellow gelly parts and rinse it with water to take out the slime and spray it with copper based fungicide if available. I hope this helps. Thank you for your question and thank you for watching. 👍😊👍 Cheers
Im giving my dragon fruit 180 litres per day to the area 3 metres around it to no ill effect but the temp usually rises to 33-37 c daily. That water is by way of a sprinkler which drenches my pittaya.

Hi, thank you for show us the result of over water your dragon fruit , and the tree got mossy, but on my dragon fruit tree is got dry out and wrinkle after my first harvest , do you have a idea what is the problem of my dragon fruit tree ? Thank you ahead of time!
Did you change something in your routine plant care (watering, fertilizer, etc) that might have caused the drying out and wrinkling? Thank you for watching. Cheers.
sackboymahalo oh, yeah, my friend gives to me some of the liquid fertilizer, I used some of that , if that's why cause my dragon fruit tree drying out , then what can I do ? Thank you for reply my question !
sackboymahalo it is homemade fertilizer made it from orange pills ,just because I was thinking give it more nutritious to hope the tree will produces more, maybe I didn't thin it enough . After that I realized something is wrong , I started to water more often, but seems not help at all, oh, by the way , my tree is planted in the pot , because I leave in Texas.
Janine Chang I think the adding of the homemade fertilizer and the changing of the watering cycle might have destroyed the roots which caused the problem. I suggest using 1 scoop of chicken manure compost or steer manure compost every month per plant instead which you can hopefully get from Home Depot and reverting back to your previous watering cycle. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching. Cheers.
Hi friend, your accent sounds as if you come from Holland, do you grow these dragon plants in Holland? Here in Greece i care for a dragon plant and it needs water at least every two days in the summer

Mine didn't get squishy. it just got thin and turned a light color but only in small areas. It was hard but I snapped those little brown areas off. I thought my plant was dying so I told my dad and he said that it wasn't dying. I still thought it was dying though
A viewer said fungus might have caused it. That probably is true. When I changed the watering to just once a week the effects stopped and it is growing some new shoots and has produced fruits. Thank you for watching. Cheers.
