I have a Peavey Cirrus bxp 4 nice demo about the all the sound of Peavey Cirrus !i try to sell it but nobody no i keep it for all the crazy that say Peavey is not good Peavey Cirrus bass is incredible!
I love the Cirrus, I have a 4 string looking for a 5 string Cirrus.... I haven found to many other basses that could meet the tonal qualities stock..... So many different voice combinations.....
PEAVEY is in fact still in business and is bar none one of the best music manufacturers in the buiz... i have two early '90s furys that will smoke ANY P Basd out there, bothe vintage or modern USA or otherwise
Shadakaka to you too my friend It is very nice to see her peavy 6string once again and she is sounding so amazing like she really is. Thank you for sharing
I picked up a beautiful closet queen T-40 in red and rosewood fingerboard a few years ago and last year a white Dyna bass with a Kahler trem also in minty condition and it is killer. So next on my list is a Cirrus and a Rudy Sarzo signature. Peavey basses are incredible.
That thing is a Hot Rod! I like that "Juice" knob. Took it from Abe Laboriel to Marcus Miller (Miles Davis period) in one sweep. That's what I'm talking about!
That's a nice looking bass i seen them a very long time ago and i think a lot of bass players from the 60s and 70s i think if i can recall a few jazz guys had the as like one of the bass play
I have a 5 string cirrus usa. was hesitant to get a 6 string cirrus because they are still only 1 truss rod instead of double. I ended up getting a peavey grind for a 6. not as quality, but a decent passive with a double truss and passive.
Love those through the body Peaveys. The energy and personality in this video are wonderful as well. That suit is superb also. The only eq change I could discern was when you bumped up the bass knob. The reasons for this? Firstly, I'm not exactly watching UA-cam videos with a pair of Sennheisers on my ears. Secondly, you're using the onboard mic in either a video camera or a phone. Thirdly, the amp cab is at an angle to the camera. As a result, I feel that the camera is getting about 80% ambient room sound. I'm no pro audio engineer but I think your sound would be improved quite a bit just by pointing the cab directly at your camera. My audio malarky aside, that is clearly a terrific instrument presented by a superb musician and bass technician.
The USA Peavey Cirrus is one of THE BEST production basses, EVER. PERIOD. There are opinions, of course, but this is a FACT. Don 't take my word for it. The Indonesian Cirrus had a preamp that was NOT the same as a USA. It was horrible. It was basically a Chinese $14.00 preamp. I'll admit those sound killer with passive pups, but not active. I used an Aguilar with Aggie pups and boy, does it SING !
If you want a solid traditional bass look for a fender jazz if you like a thinner neck and more tonal variety. If you like a solid meat and potatoes bass w a thicker neck go for a fender p bass. Those are the two easy and obvious choices. If you don't like the modern sound of sizzle active basses you might want a passive bass that requires no preamp battery. There are tons of great choices on the used market. Personally I have a G&L p bass, a Warwick jazz bass, and a peavey Cirrus. At the end of the day, almost any bass will do when you're starting out.
For the style of music you like, Precision or Jazz style bass will do fine at least to start out. Both bass are staples of your music . If you want more modern sound there are other brands out there. As your ear develops you may find other style bass does it for you. But to start just get P or J, or PJ. They resell easy if you decide to upgrade or don't care for bass anymore. Good luck
The Craftsmanship, the material combination, the overall esthetics, the brightness, the warmth... And that's just your Suit

Peavey is all around underrated, their bass heads are unbelievable going through good speakers.
Agreed! I have a Fury IV and an ‘86 Foundation. Love them both.
@@greganderson7216 the only thing I don't like is there bass speakers from the early 90s on are garbage, they were pretty good before that.
@@mjsmjs7905 peavey amps and cockroaches are the only things that can survive a nuclear attack.
@@greganderson7216 I use to use Peavey heads through SWR speakers
@@mjsmjs7905 which head? I once had a Mark III.
I paid 300 bucks, cdn, for a Millennium V and it's definitely one of the best basses I've ever owned.

Nice playing, and suit!

That suit is as awesome as the bass. I got an old Westone genesis bass that I treasure.
