Kastking has the smoothest drag in the game for the price of their reels. I’ve beat my rover 6000 repeatedly on 6ft sharks, bull reds and 100-200lb stingrays with locked down drag. Thinking it would break from 100-200yd runs and/or from accidentally dunking the reels. Never lost a beat other than worm gear (line guide gear) giving out over a good period of time. I highly recommend kastking for anyone looking for a quality reel and a cheap price.
I’m Jim from Oklahoma. I have two Cast King combos. An ultralight and a larger one. I use them for bass, trout and crappie. I have them for a while and they are the best spinning reals I have had. Better than Garcia or Bass Pro. That is probably all I will buy now. Love your channel. Keep up the good work.
I have a Kast King Sharky 3000 and haven't had any problems with it so far. I like using bait runner type reels when bank fishing catfish. I have a pair of thier fishing pliers and it's the best fishing pliers I've ever owned.
I troll Kastking for Browns and walleyes, also have a KastKing Valiant Eagle Spinning Reel fast retrieve 6.2-1. Only had 1 problem with all the Kastking gear I own, and their customer service was outstanding. Stood behind the gear and express shipped a replacement ASAP. You won't go wrong as a Pro-Staffer with that company.
I've been on the channel about 6 months. I've been to Violet a few times for engine parts but never got a chance to fish. Jared does a great job representing St.Bernard parish. Im going to make it a point to get down there and fish one day.👍👍
That looks like a great time, I know when I was about 18 for my high school graduation my parents took me out offshore fishing for sharks and didn’t catch any but the captain did take us to a spot where we caught what he called Spade fish 🐠 they looked just like an Angel fish and they were great eating fried and baked. But I still have the itch to catch a good sized shark
Love the content.. I bought kast king rod and reel and i think its definitely my go to now.. I know a lot of people love lews but had bad luck with my first reel i bought. Maybe it was just a defect

I have a kast king Sharky but never used it as it's a 6000 and too big for these applications. My go to is the penn battle 3 3000 and 4000. Best set up for saltwater. Spray them after use. Never rusted up past couple years.
I have a kastking bait caster. Paid around 90$ for it a few years ago. Every cast the brakes kept changing inside the reel. Took it off and kept using my lews speed spool or my shimano that cost the same and work.
I love catching sheepshead it seems to me they didn’t come in like they usually doo but thats just my experience this year might just be my lack of fishing skills lol
They are staged up on islands on the outer bays right now you can also hit them on the long rocks too. Hope that helps. Thanks for always supporting the channel

You need to take the man from Jeddy rock's fishing. With. You sometime he had a fishing channel but he never catches anything more than about 2 pounds. I think he would enjoy it.

I have a Kastking spinning reel, something in about a 1000 class I use for rubber shrimp. Two years and it's still smooth.

It was noisy but I think that was more the brand new braid than anything. Sheepshead is similar to redfish and drum maybe a bit sweeter
