I was in the same boat. It's like, just hurry up and lose so our guys can rest. Even if they had won, they would not have made it past Detroit with those injuries building
Offensive play calling was atrocious, but the defense was spectacular. Jacobs was the ONLY one on offense who played with any heart. Love better be willing to restructure his contact after his pathetic close out to the season.
Even if GB squeezed out a lucky win, they would have been destroyed next week. This year just clearly wasn't it. Way too many mistakes and GB beating themselves.
Lots of regression in the gb offense thru the season even before the injuries. Jacobs covered alot of it up. The play calling, decision making from love, blocking, lots of things were not good. Love was what, 8-7 this year?

The Packers' defense played exceptionally well. They managed to hold Saquon to around 100 yards until the final play, where he broke through due to the defense crowding the box. Despite the challenges, the Packers were even in time of possession and outperformed Philly in first downs and total yards. Considering they were minus-4 in turnovers, lost seven starters during the game, and committed eight penalties for 85 yards, you’d think they’d lose by at least 20 points. Yet, they hung in there. Love needs to spend more time under center and utilize more play-action. This approach would also give Jacobs the opportunity to build momentum and better read the line.
Yeah they just need one key veteran in both in both of those areas. Lot of not knowing the routes, giving up easy coverage just rookie stuff that needs to change.
Thanks for the content as always Paul, the Packers proved that they couldn't hang with the Eagles despite close game losses to elite teams this year, they just can't play the caliber of football needed to win games like this one. Hope your Vikings fare better tomorrow. I don't think it matters because the Lions are the class of the NFC and until someone proves otherwise, look like they have a date of destiny in New Orleans in a few weeks' time. I am most disappointed that it was not a competitive game and certainly not a fun game to watch either.
TLDR because this is so long: Lafleur is a good coach and everyone should calm tf down Love how some Packers fans are saying Lafleur should go. Who should we get then? When Lafleur: 1. Coached the youngest team to the playoffs in back to back years 2. Won 2 games with Malik Willis at QB while almost only running the ball. 3. Lost a starting G in this game whose replacement got called for holding twice before getting pulled. 4. Lost the top 2 WRs in the game to injury with another WR already out. Could there have been some better calls here and there sure. But in this situation, what did you want him to do? Just stop. We played like shit with a couple of weird calls that didn’t go our way and lost by 12 to the team that is supposedly the most talented in the NFL.
"Who should we get then?" The Packers are in luck, there's a coach who would be just perfect, came on the market, as of today! It would be a homecoming of sorts!!!!
Nixon recovered but the non call set the tone for the game! Watson Doubs Reed Elgton are big offensive names to lose before and during the game.. I’ll still be tuning in to this great channels content ! Go Pack Go
People think it’s so awesome to be a packers but as a lifelong fan I can tell you that’s far from the truth lol. They let us down year after year in the big games, all they do is beat up on regular season type teams since 2011
paul you are a real ball knower. i think this game would have been extremely hard or impossible for any team in the league to win that game with the things that happened to them. nothing at all went right.
I was enraged at the missed helmet to helmet and clear fumble recovery from Nixon. That was such crap. That being said, we had plenty of opportunities to get back in that game. But man it really set the tone poorly and it should not have happened. The injuries this game were just sad, especially Doubs. Hate seeing someone face head injuries like that.
I think they're about where they should be, last year they were ahead of schedule and this year just happened to be particularly tough with a very stout division.
Had fun watching you, Jack & Ziggy this season. I’m a Packer fan that mostly hate-watches you but you’re all too nice to actually hate. lol. I’m rooting for the Vikings to go all the way, but mostly because I can’t bear the thought of gamblin’ Dan and the Lions getting a Lombardi!

Let me school you real quick youngster.. This game doesn't mean the next game will be the same..2017 the Eagles won the superbowl but they beat Falcons 15-10 in the divisional in an ugly game and then smoked the Vikings in the NFC championship game

How you gonna say he recovered the fumbled ball and then say he bobbled it? That's the entire point a bobble is not a recovery. Boy o boy all the excuses from you Packers fans, take the L and move on,u lost to a better team.
Jalen Hurts' inability to punish defenses as a passer is greatly overlooked as the main reason why GB was able to hang around despite the repeated turnovers. I understand the packers have a top 8 defense, or somewhere around that, but 39 yards passing in one half is downright terrible. Good thing the Eagles defense can keep them in games, because they're not equipped at QB to handle a shootout.
That was honestly almost expected. Being a Packers fan the past 35 years means has had two moments of glory. But mostly, it’s been potential and playoff failure. This is far… FAR from the worst one. Since I remember Packers football, starting in 1988: 1989 (my hatred of the Vikings was completed here), 1995, 1997, 1998, 2003, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2020, 2021, 2023. The worst ones were 97 (Broncos cheated), 98 (Rice fumbled), 03 (4th and 26), 07 (Damn you, Favre), 09 (That was a facemask in OT), 11 (15-1 down the drain) 14 (Bostick) 20 (Rodgers you suck). That doesn’t even count the ho-hum losses in January.
So the Packers were bad in this one like realllly bad. But that fumble and blown recovery call at the beginning of the game was an insane thing to watch. I went to the bathroom after they looked at the replay and was shocked when I came back and it was Philly ball. Truly one of the more baffling plays i’ve ever seen on many levels
I have faith in LeFleur and Love still. The two of them were on fire to end last year. This year we fixed the defence, but the offence collapsed. LeFleur needs to fix the play calling, and Love needs to execute better. They've done it before, they need to fix it up for next year. This year was very weird, started in Brazil and Love getting hurt, and except for a couple games, Seahawks, Dolphins, Cardinals, most of which were early or middle of the year, they never really found their footing. They relied too much on Jacobs late, when this team is only ever going to go as far as Love can take them. Put more on him and force him to find his rhythm
It was a fun year. 11 win season with a playoff game. Can't really complain. Thank you for making the year even more fun with your show. I'm a HUGE Packer fan, but I'll be rooting for your team.... the Vikings in the playoffs. Can't even believe I said that! 😂 #Bearsstillsuck #Nfcnorthrules #Therecanbeonly1
Forget the Fail Mary now we have The Fumblescrewskee! The referees pretty much screwed the Pack on the opening play. If I’m him I’d quit after that. Take my money and say “if you don’t fire a ref or two” I’m turning my back on and distancing myself from this league because that was outright abuse of power/blatant disrespect for anyone involved. I’m still shocked
Jordan Love played awful and the Packers did not deserve to win at all, they killed themselves. I’m just sad that Love was hurt essentially 80% of the season and people fail to realize the packers genuinely had a bottom 8 WR core in football this year. Christian Watson has been turned into purely a deep threat, Romeo Doubs was in and out of the lineup and Jayden Reed/ Dontayvion Wicks regressed heavily and both were at the very top in the league in drops and the team lead the league in drops as a team overall. They have like 75 million in cap space and more if they cut Jaire, they gotta go hard this off-season and replenish that WR/CB room. I would say also go in on pass rush but with the contracts and draft capital they’ve kinda made their bed with that group and just gotta hope the young guys get better year 2 in the Hafley system.
No other way to put it: This was a disappointing year. Love regressed, and the offense with him. Still a very young team. Looking forward to next year!
The P in Packers stands for Pain 😒 Can't fight a war if all your soldiers are depleted, crazy amount of injuries Game wasn't even competitive, refs clearly got some calls wrong, and the worst part of it is that you can't even pinpoint the exact problem, there was poor execution, there was poor play calling, there was poor coaching in all the penalties, there was bad throws, dropped passes, no pass rush, the injuries, literally every part of every loss we had in the regular season reared it's head and end our season early 🤦🏾😒 An entertaining season but not competitive when it counted and ending the season on a streak of 3 L's just sucks I feel like a Bears fan 🤦🏾🤦🏾
You go in without Watson. You lose Doubs and Jenkins during the game. You’re playing a top defense. Of course they had trouble on offense. I do think Love may have regressed a bit this season, but the receivers led the league in drops. This team does not have an identity in the passing game and that’s a problem. Hadley was a great hire, the defensive needle is clearly pointing up. We need to find a true number one receiver and more depth on the oline and at corner. As an honest Packer fan, I felt we were a year or two away from real contention.
How are people saying the Packers defense didn't make stops when they needed to win? Aside from that unfathomable... just outright egregious officiating decision that just completely breaks the whole fabric of the game, they kept the Philly offense to 3 points in the entire first half. Our offense just went flat and deflated even moreso after losing Jenkins, Doubs, Reed, Jacobs. And STILL they kept this team in a manageable game against both the Eagles and the refs. Can you tell I'm salty about the refs? Every Packer fan should be. Just embarrassing stuff for the NFL
Drives me nuts how love goes for the big play so often. Take the check down. Get Kraft the ball. Good things happen when he has the ball. Then add in those big plays.
Love has become a twitchy, nervous, unconfident QB. It sucks. I truly wonder if the coaching staff can set him straight during the offseason and throughout next year. I hope so. I have grave doubts.
I feel like the packers relied on Jacobs too much this year. Passing game never reached it's full potential and MLF has to be way better overall as a coach in the playoffs
Jordan Love is 27 years old, in his 6th season. Rodgers had won a Super Bowl by this point. At what point is the “oH hE’s yOuNg” excuse no longer applicable
What exactly did you want him to do differently against the #1 defense? Our line got bullied all game and there was no one to throw to. I'd say the only faults were not getting TE the ball more and not tucking the ball for some scrambles that were there. Overall, he played better than the guy who won.
@@csktz_2024 while I'm not a Love fan by any means, some of that statement isn't factually correct. Love just finished his 5th season. Rodgers didn't win a SB until his 6th season.
he won a super bowl in his third year as a starter, fake fan love played poorly tonight but i’d rather him develop and get better then have to draft some dude and start this process over
@Xphyzeek In what universe is a 60.6% (20/33) completion better than 61.9%(13/21), 0 TD passes better than 2, 3 interceptions better than 0, 37.2 QBR better than 62.4 and 41.5 rating better than 111.4? In no way did Love play better than Hurts.
I will also add that i am 100% rooting for the Vikings now. Aaron Jones is just one of those players that i will ALWAYS cheer for, no matter the team. I have no problem going from Go Pack Go to SKOL!!!!
I don’t dislike the Vikings or the Detroit Lions or the Bears. I’m always rooting for our division unless they’re playing the Green Bay Packers of course :-)
Seems to me like over the course of the season Lafleur tried to reign Love in to improve consistency and lessen turnovers and it backfired. Dude’s a gunslinger, not a slice and dicer, let him make big throws even it results in picks
Yeah me too. But then I said to myself, the Eagles and Jaylen Hurts obviously suck almost as bad as the Packers and have been overrated all year. They had an easy schedule this season. If the Eagles face the Vikings they will lose. If they face Detroit they will be destroyed.
I'm cheering on the Vikings, I hate the lions this year, I hate how they play dirty. The Vikings have a vibe I love and wish the Pack had it. Even if the Vikings lose out, still a great year.
Love needs to go back to QB school. Terrible mechanics. Terrible reads. Terrible accuracy. Throwing into traffic, trying to be the hero all the time is costing us big time.
I’d like to point out that he had to play hero ball. Packers O line was getting demolished and nobody was open. He was forcing the ball cuz they were losing and was trying to lead a comeback
By that logic, so should Justin Herbert, and he's easily a top 8 QB. Lamar Jackson stunk up a wild card game before and he's going to be back-to-back MVP. Bad Wild Card games happen sometimes and they're painful for fans since it's the end of the season, but these sizzling hot takes are immature.
@@MidwestMountainMan If only it was this one playoff game. It's the way he's played all year. Throwing off his back foot. Throwing behind or short of the receivers. His choices have been almost as bad as his ball placement.
@@larrycaseboltjr9498 Favre will work with him in the off season. He'll show Love how you can throw interceptions and still win the game. Gotta have heart!
This was a of snapshot of our season. We just shot our self in the foot since the missed fields golds in Brazil. And yea, the NFL fucked up the Nixon call. Jerry Rice fumbled.
Love needs to figure out how to improve his game. The Packers need to find guys that can catch. Why don't the Packers throw to the tight ends or running backs? Lafleur's scheme has been figured out, time to come up with something new.
i honestly believe that the Packers made a lot of mistakes through the game but the majority were a result of frustration due to the ridiculous calls by the refs throughout. Going forward the pack need to prepare for the games as though all the refs are incompetent, blind or corrupt. every time you get a bad call, move on, reset and make the refs show how ridiculous they are to the entire NFL until something is done to improve officiating.
My one takeaway from this game is Philadelphia sucks only a little less than Green Bay and Jaylen Hurts is an average QB at best. The Eagles are going to get destroyed by Detroit in the same way that Detroit humiliated the Vikings - by keeping unrelenting pressure on Jaylen Hurts.

Final thoughts jordan love has a big year three ahead of him. If he sinks… Green Bay will erupt but if he pops off then maybe he needed a slump year to work on things

Way too many mistakes and GB beating themselves.
MALIK got us a touchdown in less than 10 minutes last week, and should have been out there today, Love is declining already too young ☹️

Was Paul doing jumping jacks once the Packer game ended? We really need hidden fan cam video while he is watching these games.
Lots of regression in the gb offense thru the season even before the injuries. Jacobs covered alot of it up. The play calling, decision making from love, blocking, lots of things were not good. Love was what, 8-7 this year?
O line needs depth for sure, and the receiver idk, I like them but they all got bricks for hands
This game clearly shows how young this team is....Im still not happy with jordan loves attitude always at the start of the game I don't feel hes putting his 150 percent on the field!!!Brett farve would push so hard he'd need oxygen to keep going I never see love put this team on his back and show leadership!!! Why isn't jordan running anymore ??? Scared to get hit??? Baker has the run and proper attitude to lead as a QB!!!!!! And im very concerned about the play calling and lack of a decent game plan!!!! Im a packer fan but now that were out I'll be pulling for your vikings to see you guys win the superbowl would be special!!!Best of luck!!!!
This approach would also give Jacobs the opportunity to build momentum and better read the line.
we need vets in the wr and db rooms.

TLDR because this is so long: Lafleur is a good coach and everyone should calm tf down
Love how some Packers fans are saying Lafleur should go. Who should we get then? When Lafleur:
1. Coached the youngest team to the playoffs in back to back years

Looking forward to the show tonight gents GPG
They were on fire in SF last year? Don't remember that.
@curthennig9448 I mean the 7th seed Packers outplayed the 1st seed Niners for 3.5 quarters of that game. Yes they were pretty dang good

Honeslty... we made enough mistakes to lose by 30+ the fact we lost by just 12 is SHOCKING.
As an Eagles fan it was fun at the end the watch was miserable
The P in Packers stands for Pain 😒
Can't fight a war if all your soldiers are depleted, crazy amount of injuries
Game wasn't even competitive, refs clearly got some calls wrong, and the worst part of it is that you can't even pinpoint the exact problem, there was poor execution, there was poor play calling, there was poor coaching in all the penalties, there was bad throws, dropped passes, no pass rush, the injuries, literally every part of every loss we had in the regular season reared it's head and end our season early 🤦🏾😒
An entertaining season but not competitive when it counted and ending the season on a streak of 3 L's just sucks I feel like a Bears fan 🤦🏾🤦🏾
As a Packers fan, I will only root for the Vikings because of Aaron Jones. He deserves to win the Lombardi.
It's now called the Belichick. Winning in GB is way in the past!
@@curthennig9448 Soon to be called the Mahomes trophy.
Do do dodo dooodooo No Pack No 🙂
How are people saying the Packers defense didn't make stops when they needed to win? Aside from that unfathomable... just outright egregious officiating decision that just completely breaks the whole fabric of the game, they kept the Philly offense to 3 points in the entire first half. Our offense just went flat and deflated even moreso after losing Jenkins, Doubs, Reed, Jacobs. And STILL they kept this team in a manageable game against both the Eagles and the refs.
Can you tell I'm salty about the refs? Every Packer fan should be. Just embarrassing stuff for the NFL
When you keep bobbling it what control do you really have. He who leaves the pile with it recovered it
Love sucks.
Love hurts too!
The way the Eagles D was playing, it's conjecture to think the Packers would have scored if they recovered the ball.
I feel like the packers relied on Jacobs too much this year. Passing game never reached it's full potential and MLF has to be way better overall as a coach in the playoffs
Thanks for your show Paul. Sad day, but good show.
I can't support the vikings, but I will support Paul not being miserable.
It's unavoidable. Minnesota misery continues forever.

Dude’s a gunslinger, not a slice and dicer, let him make big throws even it results in picks
green bay defense really surprised me
Yeah me too. But then I said to myself, the Eagles and Jaylen Hurts obviously suck almost as bad as the Packers and have been overrated all year. They had an easy schedule this season. If the Eagles face the Vikings they will lose. If they face Detroit they will be destroyed.

Not really an unlucky draw when they totally blew their last couple games of the season
packers, awful performance
We all knew it was coming from the offense.
i honestly believe that the Packers made a lot of mistakes through the game but the majority were a result of frustration due to the ridiculous calls by the refs throughout. Going forward the pack need to prepare for the games as though all the refs are incompetent, blind or corrupt. every time you get a bad call, move on, reset and make the refs show how ridiculous they are to the entire NFL until something is done to improve officiating.
I believe Love was injured in that game. I think Brady was right, when he fell on the elbow.
More excuses? Favre shakes that off like a mosquito bite!
I'm on with the Vikings at this point
What?
