Great review as always. I never quite understand the use of 'lack of aftermarket' as a con. Excellent sights are available, holsters are available, what else is needed? The whole Gucci Glock phenomenon has made people think that need more when in reality spending money on ammo to shoot is what is needed.
I love my APX. I got the full size and compact for dirt cheap plus rebates. I shoot this platform really well. My follow up shots are literally on top of each other. It shoots flat and it's predictable as you mentioned. Very underrated platform but that's what happen in a saturated striker fire pistol market. Thanks. Great review!!
I've had this pistol for about 6 months now and after about 600 rounds it has replaced my G19 as my EDC. Never thought that would happen but accuracy is phenomenal especially follow up shots. Great ergonomics and soft shooting. Bought it for $375.00 out the door at sportsman's warehouse. Dont understand why this pistol hasn't taken off more than it has.Great review and thanks for what you do.
I love the APX line, especially the Centurion. Beretta just officially announced the APX Carry single stack today. The weight difference you mentioned isn't what I experienced. My Gen 3 G19 was 16 ounces and the Centurion was 16.2 for a .2 ounce difference. I found most of the weight difference in the frames due to the modular APX trigger group. Not a fan of 3 dots either so I blacked out the rear sights and painted the front fluorescent orange until I get my night sights. XS sells Big Dots for the APX also. Your reviews are always well done, I appreciate getting the LE perspective.

The difference in weight over the Glock 19 is in the removable receiver of the APX and its beefier rails. The weight of the Glock 19 slide and the APX Centurion slide is almost identical.
Exceptional review. With all the features Beretta built into the APX and the fact that it's a modular firearm, I was seeing all 3 models going for about $350 at Cabela's in late 2019, early 2020 (pre-COVID). I imagine they're quite a bit more right now.
Had a Compact last year. Over all they are good guns. Built well. Very soft shooting. Grip is thin and trigger reach is short. Slide is big. Made my P320 subcompact look small. I like that it is a chassis system, but I will stick with the P320. Great review a always. The grip texture on the APX is what the PX4 should have. The trigger on my compact just felt mechanical to me.
I love this pistol... I like the weight of this gun compared to its size. I love the way it fits the hand. It feels old school. It's a well made polymer striker fired pistol. Old school meets New school. And its cheap.....Dont know why. But that's good for us
If you already own Glocks I get it, but if you don't this is a great option. Just picked up a Centurion. I love everything about it. Can't wait to take it to the range.
To release the striker using the button, you have to pull the slide back a bit, hold it there and push the striker release button. Thanks for the video.
I company s&w sd9ve 9mm right next to my new beretta apx centurion 9mm they seem to be pretty close with size and the slide design with the front and read slide grip for chambering the rounds. Looking forward to my range day to shoot my new addition.
This gun is great! I’m accurate with it but I want to upgrade to the A1 compact for the improvements. I like the slide a lot but I guess it didn’t stick because people who don’t use overhand manipulation.
Besides the size, what else is different about it? Which one is better. Some people have said that they carry the full size apx as their etc. But which one is better? Like overall (not just for self-carry). I'm new to the gun community and I'm looking to purchase my first firearm. I want to get the apx but I'm not sure if I should get the full size or the centurion.
Just bought one for $380 shipped. That's about how much any of these polymer framed, striker-fired pistols should sell for. Glock demands an unreasonable MSRP of $700, so I'm glad I have access to the Blue Label pricing, which is about how much Glocks are actually worth.
The APX is one of the most HIDEOUS hand gun designs since the Hi Point or Walther PPQ. It is one of THE BEST shooting striker fired handguns out there. Feel awesome in the hand and shoots like a dream. Will it ever replace my M9A3? Highly unlikely, but I would take one of these over a Glock. Thanks for the video.
Interesting opinions, especially concerning the Walther PPQ. I don't really come across people that don't like that one. I get it with Hi-Point, but I love the look of the APX Line. To each his own anyway. At least it is not a "Block".
I don't know if I should get full size or the centurion.. some people say that they use the full size apx as their edc. But which one is better? The full size or centurion? I'm new to the gun community.
I've been curious about the apx especially with the rebate but think it looks kind of goofy. Also frame rails could not go to the end of the dust cover or it would not cycle. Lol
Sig gets away with full length rails on it's P-series hammer guns, but I agree it would probably be a functional nightmare on a striker gun. It does have an odd look/feel to it. I let a few others hold it and they said they "didn't like it because it felt weird" hahaha.
J Helmsing I was just responding to your comments about a competition ready gun. However I do think Beretta will make one in the future. I been putting my APX through hell and it’s holding up very nice
I'm interested in this gun, but I've yet to see a "comparison video" with a p320 fcu and this one.. I have a P320x full size 4.7 barrel but I'm looking for a carry gun. If you could do a video comparison it would be great! Thanks..oh i just subscribed too! 👍
Oh snap... Really I'd say throw them both in the air and catch one. Both are very good pistols. I think the 509 has been received a little better by the aftermarket as of right now.
Having used both the Beretta is a more ergonomic pistol and a much easier to get good follow up shots with. The M&P tents to jump or wiggle. Doesn't quite fit the hand as well.
Awesome vid as usual... has anybody having problems with the like button mine is not counting J I don't know but a lot of other channels also I'm hitting my like button 2-3 times sometimes it stays sometimes it don't I think that is very wrong that's taking likes away

Lol Since then I've owned many different brands, but my EDC and range guns all tend to be my PX4 or my APX. I just love these guns.
"The Glock has such a capital on basically any kind of after-market stuff you want..." - That's the issue that I (and quite a few other folks) have with Glock. If Glocks are so great, why are there so many after market sights, triggers, slides, etc., for them? Ask any Cult of Glock member how much money he/she has spent to make their Glock 'better.' ;-)

I am looking to get night sights for my CENTURION what would be a good set for the Apx CENTURION.
And with Beretta's special pricing, the APX line is probably the best deal you could get for a premium handgun.

It really is a sweet shooting pistol.

Do own a Glock, but trust my other Berettas. Will likely acquire one of these for my collection.

Nice review brother. Funky looking pistol but seems to be super solid. Might have to check it out. 👍🏼
With berettas green striker fired brings trugger pull to 5lbs which is nice
Good perspective
One must remember the APX was designed for battle out the box without competition action in mind.
I'd say that's true for most guns.

Ruger Security 9 review?
If failures to fire due to water was not an issue for you, would you prefer an FN 509 Midsize or APX Centurion?

As like all my other berettas it's freaking awesome!! no malfunctions whatsoever very reliable .. now waiting for my apx carry...
Can you make a video regarding carry methods for backup guns for LE?
Sure, I'll add it to the list!
Would you recommend this over the s&w M&p 2.0 compact ?
Compact 2.0 MP is a better shooter but both are great guns

No overtravel gives me really bad anticipation tendencies.

"the only thing you have to say about it" seriously? I said a lot more than that. Sorry if that is all you got from the entire vid.
