As Palawa become the best Pal: Get 10 Allies to 100 Trust, 8 Diplo Rep, accept all call to arms, and defeat a Great Power with using only allies and mercs
That's amazing how our Boy Ludwig the IV of Wittelsbach really outtshined Palpatine in every way : starting as a relatively minor prince, he clawed his way on the diplomatic game until he became empror, from which he ruled with strength, destroying the electors who opposed him and replacing them with his allies. He became the king-empror of Milan, Burgundy and Bohemia, and mercilessly tore through the foundations of the old empire. As the aging king became a force to be reckoned with, only one nation dared to opposed him : the french, full of pride and envy. But the old king knew the way : he waited for them to appear weak, and Europe marched against them. With his rival humiliated, nothing opposed the dark empror : he reclaimed the old capital, and promised to restore it to the beauty it once had. At this point, he had outlived several of his heirs, and rulers saw him as this fortress, whose shadow was upon them since childhood. But the empror did not care. When the Lutherans revolted, the paper never made it past the gates of Aachen, for the empror was discussing his final maaterpiece : conquest of the heatens from the other side of the sea. He called the Crusade, and emerged victorious, cementing his reputation as a legend. At the age of 81, the old king now nicknamed "The grandfather of Europe" finally died. His life of cunning diplomatic gains and his military genius mad the Holy Palatine Empire the uncontested master of Europe, ruling from Aachen, the Last Rome
29:16 fun thing is those traits are kinda Palpatine’s traits: So bold he fought the top Jedi masters and won. Sinner for Dark side of the force and perfectionist for big probably overpaid constructions like the Death Star. All aligned
4:40 the bavarian Lozeng (diamond shapes) flag comes from some place in Bavaria and was adopted by the Wittelsbach family in the Middle Ages and they basically made it their family sigil
That some place is actually where I went to secondary school - it was the emblem of the counts of Bogen a very small town in rural lower Bavaria (would be in the province of Straubing in EU4). Anyway this dynasty went extinct in 1242 and the possessions as well as the emblem went to the Bavarian Duke. English wikipedia is actually lacking in that regard as it doesn't tell the whole story but search and translate the article on the "Grafen von Bogen" to fact check
i study history in Heidelberg (capital of the Palatinate in EU4) and we had a course of the coat of arms of the dynasty of Wittelsbach. The squares and the lion originally were both symbols of the whole dynasty, but it seperated over the years -> squares became the typical symbol of the bavarian Wittelsbachs, which is still seen in todays official documents and in the flag; while the lion became the typical symbol of the Wittelsbachs of the Palatinate and still is represented in the city flag or in symbols all over the region :)
In my opinion one of the best if not the best A to Z. It was incredibile to see what you managed to accomplish in such a short amount of time. We will always remember Ludwig the IV, long last his empire!
Just realized one funny thing. The title of the video was actually for myself. lol I hope to have helped unleash the crazy imagination of my fellow watcher's comradery.
EZ dub. I guess Ludwig IV von Wittelsbach is the real Emperor Palpatine the whole time. (who also died in his 80s). A proper Palatinate run seems like a lot of fun actually, lots of PUs and stuff.
Mad dude... I've followed your videos for quite a long time, but this sickness of perfect roleplay as Palps (like other comments says) made you gain a sub.
I've been waiting for Palawa. Since Palawa has the highest shock damage bonus in the game from national ideas, as Palawa, have the highest shock damage bonus in the game. Reform as a horde and take Horde, Expansion, and Diplomatic which each grant a bonus +10% shock damage in their policies.
You might have been able to avoid that coalition by popping out Moravia/etc. in the peace deal... I think since you're "taking" less land that way, the AE impact is less. You have to select to release them before you select "Union with" in the peace deal though, otherwise they get grayed out.
It’s hilarious to me that in this Palpatine themed game the ruler of the Palatinate HAPPENED to randomly have the traits “bold” “sinner” and lived to be 80 years old which is probably the oldest I’ve ever seen a ruler. Wow. EU4 understood the assignment today.
Honestly, my preferred method when dealing with free cities is to feed them to my allies (without cobeligerate the free city) and just conquer the province from them eventually. Good video
This was so good at this point I would love to see it as a real achievement in eu4, seems like a super fun roleplay run. Maybe somebody in PDX will see this before the new dlc comes out :D
This was an amazing play-through, thanks. If you pushed things further, this would look like a very promising start of a world conquest... with Palatine? I did this achievement once where you have to conquer every chinaware/porcellain province in the world as Saxony and I THNK it took me about the same amount of time to even gain access to the Baltic sea, as you needed to gain Tunisia. With a good diplomatic game, you will gain the thrones of Bavaria, Austria, Denmark, maybe even Spain... this really looked promising to me. It really makes me want to play Palatine and try a WC. Never played them to be honest.
You might be able to do no CB + vassalize shenanigans to get around these "go conquer someone super far away" goals. Maybe against like Mzab or someone small just in order to get a foothold there.
You can only core adjacent to your subjects when it is on your capital continent. Since Tataouine is in Africa he'd need to get Colonial Range in the normal way.
As 'Palawa' means doing a lot of talking about the same topic again and again in my dialect: Conquer every province that starts with 'Pa' and at the end have a ruler, an heir and a general whose names start with 'P'
Looking over the list now, that includes Pacaha in Arkansas, Padang in Malaya, Paderborn in North Germany, Paithre in the Deccan, Pale in Ireland, Palencia in North Castile, Palermo in Italy, Pambu in Brazil, Panama in Panama, Panka in South Dakota, and hopefully you get the idea. It's 60ish provinces, plus or minus a couple ocean tiles and wastelands, spread across every continent. It'd be more or less a world conquest.
@@TheSteve_1992That reduces it to 10 provinces, plus a couple of seas. * Palau in Oceania * Palawan in the Moluccas * Pale in Ireland * Palembang in Malaya * Palencia in Spain * Palermo in Italy * Palopo also in the Moluccas * Palpa in Nepal * Palu also in the Moluccas * Palus in Cascadia Still going to require globe-spanning conquest, but perhaps not so much.
As usual, I still try to ask for the "remove fog of war" cheat at the end of a campain to answer all the possible questions that "we can't know" imagine if Beijng was lower dev or just a few clicks away, that would be super cool to see
hawk you shoud talk to the devs about fixing the "improve with outraged countries" auto improve. Just make this option improve until max or until they actually leave the coalition ( so annoying do it manually)
How did he get the bohemia PU mission? There must be a bug that considers him the leader of a religious league because he's HRE Emperor, which makes him the leader of the Catholic League Edit: yup, I tested it. Becoming HRE emperor fulfills the conditions even if the Catholic League hasn't spawned yet.

Love your videos!💚
Palawa try not to get bored challenge: impossible
Few more till three mountains😂
As Palawa become the best Pal: Get 10 Allies to 100 Trust, 8 Diplo Rep, accept all call to arms, and defeat a Great Power with using only allies and mercs
That's actually a very creative goal
This should be an achievement called “Thanks for being a Pal”
@@Guns_Blazinhaha
So big Australian federation and no wars, wow
Haha. People are getting creative. Nice goal here.
Ruler survives to eighty years old... the dark side of the Force leads to abilities that some would consider... unnatural.
Goat'd comment 🤣
An obsessive sinner who fights boldly? The Emperor really was Palpatine.
Emperor Palatine got so old. Very appropriate roleplay.
Also died just before actually achieving his full dream (completely killing off the jedis barely wasn't completed in his run)

Really deserved more than his shitty stats
I couldn’t have said it better myself
@nwahnerevar9398
I hope in EU5 rulers can have dynamic stats.
@@prestonjones1653 That's already sort of a thing in EU4 through some of the events and missions and such, they're just super rare for monarchies.
By having the personal unions with Milan you also have the place where anakin skywalker married padme
lmao true, not to mention palpatine himself is also from there

This goal was more creative and more fun then 90% of Eu4 achievements.
As Palawa conquer the province "Brno" in Bohemia, which is part of South Moravia which contains the "Pálava Hills", famous for it's wine!
Hahaha. I should comment more often. Really funny video. Epic game. 😁
good one

Bro I never knew palatinate missions are so good together with such good rng
One of your best videos for sure, didn't know they had such a cool mission tree
As palawa become a padawan. Get a regency for an heir below 5
Good timing once more. I did think these goals were hilarious, I'm glad you went for them!
With how unique, poweful and amazing palatinate mission tree, it would be a crime not to make a video guide for it

How fitting is it that the emperor is good at shock, lives forever, and is a sinner. "Somehow, Emperor Ludwig returned!"
Ah yes, my favorite elector: The Palpatinate.
"Pal" awa. Diplo vassalize who you can, then form a true swarm by using your vassals to conquer and vassalize others along the way.
As Palawa, survive colonization and take an island province from each nation that attempts to colonize Australia in return.
As Palawa, you start with the capital region of Peerapper. So try to collect provinces with funny names, like Shatt.
This was so good at this point I would love to see it as a real achievement in eu4, seems like a super fun roleplay run. Maybe somebody in PDX will see this before the new dlc comes out :D
This was a great campaign. I should play more games like this too, it's a good way to make a game you've enjoyed for ten years feel fresh again!

Rags to Riches: As Ragusa, conquer Constantinople and make it the highest value trade node.

This should be an achivement actually.
As Palawa, simply play until 1510 doing whatever because Australia is immense pain. You do have good mil ideas though.
dk if someone already said this, but if you took aachen early, you could move capital there and just concentrate a lot
The Palatinate appears to have some interesting missions. Do you think a guide would help highlight them?

Palawa, hmmm, gotta collect 'em all I guess:

@32:00 "you guys know the goals, no need to repeat myself"
This man just forgot the goals!
love it!
This was extremely fun.
80 years old is wild I had a ruler live to 76 as Qing and I accidentally got the live long and prosper achievement
Ironic!!! 🎉🎉
This should honestly be a proper in game achievement
Concentrate development man. Concentrate.
This was the best goal yet for sure!
Glad they didn't ask you to move your capital to Khorasan lol
As Emperor you have the coring range for all provinces in the HRE.
this is such a good run ... also how come you didnt expand infrastructure at 30 dev for the extra cost reduction again ?
Very cool.
