Both! You can take it to a professional and they can tune it on a dyno or you can get an accessport and an etune. You can also get maps made for your car that can be stored on the AP and swapped at will. Getting a dyno tune locks you to just that tune, unless you have an AP.
Very true! Unfortunately the stock speed3 airbox/intake is very restrictive, i know VW/Audi products tend to have pretty good flowing intakes from factory! Although open does get hotter quicker!

I currently have a 2011 ms3 current mods Corksport turbo back exhaust , cork sport hpfi , cobb bpv , cobb cold air intake , cork sport boost controller and the CST4 turbo how much power you think ill push if i got e30?
Jose Ayala so the stock fuel system, even with the upgraded pump, tops out at around 400 whp. I’ve seen a CT4 with FBO and Meth hit in the upper 4s. I’d say anywhere from 350whp to 400 depending on dyno

Is it safe to install all these mentioned mods, and then run OTS tunes off the accessport for as long as I want, if I’m not able to get a professional tune?
Trushal Patel so the hpfp will work without a retune, but the rest of the mods you will get the bang for your buck with a custom tune. But i had a testpipe, intake, hpfp and ran fine on an OTS stage 1 map. But once i get a pro tune it made a huge difference. Ran better in general
jk lol, so an AP tune works, but you will not hit 300 on an AP tune. AP tunes are just placeholders for a real tune. I am not lying when i say a good tune makes the difference.
I would never run an ots tune with anything more than a stock size intake. I've seen some major damage done with improper tune for mods. Even as a placeholder for a pro tune. @NewOrleansSpeed autoexe from japan maybe nearer the shipping cost lower😅 do u think a specific exhaust for Mazda3 is better? Bcoz im using a Flowmaster super 10 series on my Mazda3, it sound very good, and low cost than other specific brand like HKS
Yes they absolutely can. They're extremely overbuilt beefy axles, literally twice the thickness of a typical Honda axle. My car has a cst4 tuned by Erik on 21psi which I'm pretty sure makes 300, and aside from having replaced the RMM and PMM due to breakage and having installed a 6 puck ACT clutch (that honestly feels close to stock), it feels like the rest of the car could handle gobs more power the way it is, like it's meant to have that much power.
erik dennard it’s an absolute must outside of just an intake or downpipe. The stock cam driven pump can’t provide enough fuel to match the amount of air being driven by a better flowing intake and exhaust. Running lean is the leading cause of zoom zoom boom
some say no to the bov as you will run rich when shifting, it also just runs worse in general when compared to the bpv. I would run bpv just as the cars seem to make and hold boost better when boost is recycled.

Miles Williams anytime man, a cel comes on periodically. I have a way to clear, which is access tuner race on my PC. The other way is to get a tune and they will keep the cel from popping
JesusManPowerKick no real downfalls except decreased mpg! A good e85 should net you some good whp, wtq, and be perfectly street-able especially in the summer heat. Anything more than a e50 could damage your hpfp, but no tuner would tell you to run more than e30. All you need is a tune
trapxgod mines been great for the past week no hiccups. Long term: I see myself blowing the stock k04 if anything. But that’s just another reason to upgrade to CorkSports better turbo!
Are these cars pretty reliable if left somewhat stock lol like just intake and reso muffler delete ? Used to have civic si. 8th gen but always wanted one of these ms3 as a new daily slammed on stocks 😬
depends, minimum - $1000~ - you need HPFP interenals, a downpipe, and a e85 tune. You could easily spend close to $1500~ like I did. Which was HPFP, Intake, Donwpipe, EBCS, FMIC, E85 Tune. A big part of that price is accessport, but you can skip that if you just get a dyno tune.
Im sorry, but you need more than that to hit 300. Im full catless with a full 3" intake, Autotech FP internals, BPV, injector seals, CS TMIC, 3 port EBCS on E33 from freektune, and made 280whp and 330wtq on a dyno jet. This is running almost 23psi on the K04. If you want 300, you're going to have to either REALLY push the K04 for PSI, or add port injection/meth. The stock turbos on these cars just dont move enough air in the top end to legitimately carry power through the rev range.
Andrew Drager definitely similar results! Will also keep temps very cool and clean some carbon! Also meth is good if you plan on going BT and need more fuel
@@NewOrleansSpeed I had some plans for BT, but my car is being more built for road coursing and twisties. So my goal is 300-320whp with a very solid suspension and other supporting stuff. Already have a basic tune with stratified and will have them do my custom tune unless I go with freektune haha.
Andrew Drager hell ya man, that’s what i like to hear! A lot of people sleep on these cars, especially the road handling aspect. You should be able to get close to those numbers on 93 with a custom tune and bolt one

100%, and my car did not come factory with a cold air intake, if anything the small intake box gets even hotter in that engine bay. The grill and the hood supply the engine bay with ample air. I mean I guess im wrong, even though everyone and their mother with a modded speed3 goes short lol.
It is the same just with the 6, it's awd and the rear diff mounts have to be replaced with after market ones if you going to be launching. Rods tend to snap with to much torque at low rpm so keep torque below 400nm if you tuning. If you want good reliability, I suggest forged h beam rods.
I suggest a dual catch can with an upgraded PCV plate, the stock one way PCV backs with oil over 15 psi of boost, and sends oil from the crank case back in to the intake causing blow by.

my car is still totally stock only has an aem cold air intake. i heard the stock car needs upgrades like im supposed to get a high pressure fuel pump but is this true and if i get a high presure fuel pump would i need to retune my car?
ZIGNIMUS what you need to do is like and subscribe. Jk jk
With just an intake, i would say you are good. Anything else and you need the hpfp. You do NOT need a tune with a hpfp. Car should just work with it.
I have the OTS+ e30 tune freek tune offers with 1 revision , do you think the full tune will make a difference in power?
Crispychippys2 i would think so, i went through plenty and each revision felt better
NewOrleansSpeed thank man, love the content #speed3gang
Full tune will def make a noticeable difference
311 on a Ko4 stock tmic E30 mix
Good numbers, OTS tune? Dyno tune?
how to increase whp for my 2023 mazda 3 2.0na..
Corksport! Intake, headers, tune
@@NewOrleansSpeed corksport is too expensive for me 🥲 im from Malaysia, now i have a drop in filter, 2nd cat delete, high flow resonator, planning to get a autoexe cold air intake
@@DerickHo oh I’m sure the shipping is expensive! Autoexe is great tho! Find someone to dyno tune!
Yea, but can the drive shafts handle that much power?
Yes they absolutely can. They're extremely overbuilt beefy axles, literally twice the thickness of a typical Honda axle. My car has a cst4 tuned by Erik on 21psi which I'm pretty sure makes 300, and aside from having replaced the RMM and PMM due to breakage and having installed a 6 puck ACT clutch (that honestly feels close to stock), it feels like the rest of the car could handle gobs more power the way it is, like it's meant to have that much power.
I thought that turboXS valve was a bypass valve... am I crazy??
the one i have specifically is 50/50, but if im not mistaken they have a full VTA model and Full bypass model on their site
Do I need a tune with a down pipe ?
Yessir
so you have to have hpfp fuel enternals ?
erik dennard it’s an absolute must outside of just an intake or downpipe. The stock cam driven pump can’t provide enough fuel to match the amount of air being driven by a better flowing intake and exhaust. Running lean is the leading cause of zoom zoom boom
How reliable is the ms3 just in general
pretty reliable with regular maintenance
Are you running a catless downpipe ?
Adam Rasp stock exhaust
Adam Rasp jk i have a long catless downpipe
NewOrleansSpeed did you throw a code for it being catless and was the o2 sensor an extended bung on your downpipe ?
Adam Rasp yep, it’s a constant code lol. I can technically take it off with my accessport but have just been lazy.
NewOrleansSpeed have you seen a difference in readings of your AFR’s since your catless ?
What's with the tow hook?
planetscott1 i liked the look and i lost the cap for it cause I’m an idiot. Looks better than an empty hole tho
Because... racecar.
Can i run a bov on stock motor without tune?
Or a bpv
some say no to the bov as you will run rich when shifting, it also just runs worse in general when compared to the bpv. I would run bpv just as the cars seem to make and hold boost better when boost is recycled.
NewOrleansSpeed okay cool man ! Thanks ! If i run an after market bpv i dont need a tune right?
How much more HP if you install that grey kitty ???? Lol
shes gotten fatter, she would for sure make it lose power haha
Good vid, you have a link to the down pipe?
Miles Williams i can try to find it. It’s been a while.

This or Manzo. The og seller of mine no longer sells it. But this is what it looks like.
NewOrleansSpeed much appreciated! I have a white 13 i plan on giving some love to this summer. Also did the cel come on? Also if it did can you clear it?
Miles Williams anytime man, a cel comes on periodically. I have a way to clear, which is access tuner race on my PC. The other way is to get a tune and they will keep the cel from popping
NewOrleansSpeed sounds good bro. Thanks for the reply💪🏽
Any downfalls to e85? Gas station in town from me supplies e85 but I kinda want to stick with 93
JesusManPowerKick no real downfalls except decreased mpg! A good e85 should net you some good whp, wtq, and be perfectly street-able especially in the summer heat. Anything more than a e50 could damage your hpfp, but no tuner would tell you to run more than e30. All you need is a tune
NewOrleansSpeed So running e85 isn’t recommending much?
My question is is the MZR known to be reliable in the long term with 300WHP? Assuming all maintenance is kept up with.
trapxgod going on 84k! Proper maintenance and car goes a long way
Like 40k miles with bolt ons and 30k with e85
@@NewOrleansSpeed I wouldnt say that 100 percent . Gen 1s have turbo seal/ smoking issues (more than gen 2s)
And same thing goes for vvt actuator
JesusManPowerKick very true very true, those are the main issues with these cars.
trapxgod mines been great for the past week no hiccups. Long term: I see myself blowing the stock k04 if anything. But that’s just another reason to upgrade to CorkSports better turbo!
Hi I was wondering which downpipe you got, I can not find it on ebay
www.ebay.com/itm/STAINLESS-STEEL-DOWNPIPE-DOWN-PIPE-FOR-07-13-MAZDA-3-MAZDASPEED-TURBO-2-3-L/223921966104?fits=Model%3A3%7CSubmodel%3AMazdaspeed&hash=item3422ca0c18:g:O8cAAOSwOwJe4J3p
Fuel pump internals...not fuel pump.
True, just hate repeating, "Fuel Pump Internals," a bunch of times.
Are these cars pretty reliable if left somewhat stock lol like just intake and reso muffler delete ? Used to have civic si. 8th gen but always wanted one of these ms3 as a new daily slammed on stocks 😬
Compa Cheo very reliable if taken care of! I’m moving to 90k miles and have never had an issue that i didn’t cause lol.
Coming from an 07 fg2 myself , i totally recommend a Speed 3, is like the civic on steroids!
How much total to get to 300whp?
depends, minimum - $1000~ - you need HPFP interenals, a downpipe, and a e85 tune.
Gotta be A Speed I’ve ran dyno proven 280whp cars and i walk them like nothing
@@NewOrleansSpeed you're not making 300whp.
@@victorkirby7652 lol bet
NewOrleansSpeed it’s not that hard to get less than 40 more horses lol this guys an idiot
Gotta be A Speed you only made 280 with those mods PLUS e85??
Corksport 1:07
Wonder if adding meth in place of e85 would achieve similar goals. There is no e85 near me (only place 25 miles from me removed their e85 pumps).
@@NewOrleansSpeed bro ive had mine for 11 years haha. I absolutely love it. Working on upgrading my v2 AP to the V3 and then get a downpipe and hit the dyno (my buddy has a dyno and is giving me a good price for 3 pulls 👍)
Im eventually going to start posting up pics of my build on IG once I get these next slew of parts.
So your saying a putting a short ram intake that's taking in hot air in the engine bay is better than the factory cold air intake that every car come out of the factory with
100%, and my car did not come factory with a cold air intake, if anything the small intake box gets even hotter in that engine bay. The grill and the hood supply the engine bay with ample air. I mean I guess im wrong, even though everyone and their mother with a modded speed3 goes short lol.
Does this work for the regular Mazda 3 ?
Premier Bosses none at all, none of these mods would work for a normal 3 besides the intake.
Do you know if it’s the same on the sedan model?
it should be the same, but i would double check on the forum . page
It's not a speed it's not happening
do you mean the speed6?
It is the same just with the 6, it's awd and the rear diff mounts have to be replaced with after market ones if you going to be launching. Rods tend to snap with to much torque at low rpm so keep torque below 400nm if you tuning. If you want good reliability, I suggest forged h beam rods.
id rather stay stock for like 40 less more hp and way more value and reliablility lol
Wow sounds like you know the platform well lmao, good luck
Polish your headlights lol
John Holmes i know lol, shits ugly
@@NewOrleansSpeed And yet a beautiful ride. lol
;
is it fine if custom catless downpipe?
yes that is fine, i run a catless downpipe on mine
