I never personally understood why there were so many remixes of Cannon Ball floating across the Internet. Even the Mythos rendition (while undeniably competent) failed to evoke any genuine emotion in me, nor did it feel like it suited the events that were taking place in the actual game. This is the first time the track actually resonated with me. So kudos. I must say that the brief acoustic riffs are a stroke of genius. Reminding us that while we're talking about a pair of obnoxiously overpowered robots trying to murder each other, they're BOTH almost comically ancient (in either mind or body) when this bout takes place.
Fun Fact: Zero's name may come from the term "Patient Zero", the original carrier of a disease or in this case the Maverick Virus that ended up infecting Sigma in the X4 flashback. The original Maverick

Gotta say, it's a good remix, I love the song, but it could never really be put together with Omega, as it doesn't really have the power of a cannonball
