@@supercar.driver Pls bring him back! Maybe do like a podcast setup with him talkin about his automotive journey n ownership n buyin experiences of other cars he owned. Absolutely loved the videos featuring Chris! Thank you SCD!
Wow can I just thank Chris for this series. The car world need more people like him. Down to earth and fascinating. Hope he reads the comments one of the best things I've watched all year. Like if you agree
I was just laughing when he described 962 : "of course is a IMSA homologation car yeah so obviously race-car that was designed for 1 in the cockpit- the racing driver but since this is a homologation special it has 2 seats but the passenger seat is just for some unfortunate unlucky person who driver just want to terrify" I was thinking that this statement is true not just in case of IMSA 962 but in all supercars case is same thing : Zonda, Huayra, 918, Carrera GT, McLaren F1, Ferrari F40, F50, Enzo, Veyron, Chiron, Agera, All passengers will eventually get terrified.. He He He..!!! :0)
Really enjoyed this series. The Carerra GT is my favourite supercar with that powerful V10 which sounds sublime and still analogue with a manual gearbox with few driver aids.
@@william_SMMA The fucks that even supposed to mean? 🤣 It's a comment on a UA-cam video and the narrator in particular. Yes, I enjoyed a non douchy story. I don't see a problem with that. Dayummm
i love the way he talks about the GT. learning to live with its faults. ignoring the so called experts. just enjoying it for what it is and that is a piece of automotive history.
This is the series I’ve been waiting for..a person who loved with the cars talking about the cars..you guys have smashed it with these.! Well done and thank you 👍🏼
From a man whos owned them all. "The CGT... The book closes with that!" WOW!! Thankyou so much for sharing Chris and SCD for making some beautifully made film.
This was epic. Thanks for sharing Chris. If anything lets the Carerra GT down its the looks. It looks 'plain' like a standard F1 does. No passion in its design, just form.
Incredible hearing 1st hand from someone who has owned all of the poster boy dream cars and, to tell you which one he likes the most and why. Thanks for having Chris on your channel and a very special thanks to Chris for spending his time talking about it with all of us!!!
Absolutely trilling to hear from a real "drivers" driver, owned Mclaren F1, Zonda, F40, F50, 962 and Carrera GT's. Hearing that feedback that one could only ever dream of experiencing. I bet all the UK CGT lads will be happy @TGE TV (looking at you) Chris, you've probably just added another £100k to the values with that stunning feedback. Joking aside, a pleasure to hear, thank you Chris Palmer for taking the time.
Love this concept! Haven’t watched this good of content on you tube in a long time would love to hear more stories from some of these amazing collectors.
I watch most if not all of your videos. But this series, by far the best. Thanks again for the shares on this. Such a great series and well produced as well.
I've really enjoyed these videos been looking forward to this porsche one the most. I know nothing about Chris but he seems like a down to earth bloke who has worked hard and enjoyed his money. The sound of that porsche is savage to own one must be really special.
I've been lucky enough to go for a ride in a Carrera GT on a racetrack. Went from a 06 Ford GT to the Carrera and I gotta say it was night and day difference between the two cars, even though they're both very similar on paper. Love the look of the Ford GT but the Porsche was on another level. Like a vacuum cleaner with every gear. Felt so light and Nimble and the sound was God like.
Brilliant series featuring Chris, well done. Its so refreshing to listen to someone who has actually owned and lived with so many exotic and thrilling cars but yet is so down to earth in telling both his and the cars histories. It would be well worth Chris doing a lot more videos, looking at the comments on here he would have quite a decent following... More please.
I think half the views on this series have been from recommendations from me. Chris seems like such a humble man I would love to see some of those cars. Fair play
Amazing to listen to someone’s actual experience of the car. I bet the clutch will last on that car. It better considering it’s got so much power. I am excited to see more videos from your channel down the road.
Series; brilliant, Chris Palmer; legend. However the exhaust note of the Carrera GT stood the hair up on my arm - Absolutely mega. He wasn't exaggerating when he compared it too old school V-10 F1 cars.
Great series. Hearing from someone who has actually owned and driven all these super cars is priceless. The Porsche noise was also pretty spectacular. Thanks Chris and SCD.
Listening to Chris from these episodes now I think I now know my purpose in life and that is to be so successful that I can experience every car this world has to offer.
I really like this guy's attitude about cars. He doesn't seem pretentious, and is a true enthusiast it seems . First time seeing him, and first time to this channel. Thanks UA-cam algorithm. ;)
A joy to watch. The man is so passionate about cars unlike most modern collectors who only buy cars which they think are rare and won't depreciate and almost never drive them, at least not the way they are supposed to be driven. Not that they can 😄
Love how Chris said forget about the mythology and folklore, the basis of his verdict is on the comparative analysis of Actually Driving these Awesome Machines/Works-of-Art!!!
Well he said it all about the Carrera GT, recently Porsche did some museum night event , Walter Rohrl was there and as Chris mentioned it, Walter said that is to this date his favorite all time car. This part 4 just emphasizes what a really cool and true car guy Chris is, I take my hat off to him
Willy Koenig offered the 962 as a road going car with the 930 turbo engine putting out around 550bhp, 3 of them were made called the C62. But they didn’t have the Porsche badge of course. It’s great to hear Chris’s experiences with his various cars he’s owned. Stuff like the Porsche GT being the best of the analogue bunch.
An old friend of mine Jason Clay used to own a Black CGT and I remember seeing him at B&Q on the Euroway Trading Estate on the M606 outside Bradford in it one sunny Sunday in about 2006/07 Looked lovely in Black.
This is a great series really enjoying. Really down-to-earth and informative. Love the fact Chris has a CSL sketch above his head alongside the F40, Zonda and F50?. Would love to hear his thoughts on it.
Vern Schuppan, successful Australian racer in the 1970s and 80s, built a few 962 road cars, only the first had original bodywork like this one. This from wiki: "With Japanese backing, Schuppan produced minimally modified street legal 962 race cars. The first, known as the 962R and registered in the UK as H726 LDP, retained the original bodywork and honeycomb chassis from its racing career. Later a road going evolution of the Porsche 962 called the Schuppan 962CR was developed, using different bodywork than the 962R. At the then price of 195 million yen (US$1.5 million) only six were built."
So this series will do no good for people trying to buy CGT in next 1-2 year’s 😂. Thank you so much for sharing this series. It’s been an absolutely lovely time listening to Chris describe my childhood dreams. Proper lad no pretense’s just a vibe of sharing good stories.
Just an incredible collection of cars owned there and driven too which is what they are there for. Chris Palmer comes across as a true enthusiast and a really down to earth guy. I couldn't help notice his Honda RC30 bike though. Does he have a bike collection too?
Thank you for the wonderful series. Looking forward to what Is to come. The teaser image for the class of 1967 video looks fantastic!! Could you kindly post a link to the company that did the exhaust on the CGT?
You guys really need to do this more often. Am sure no shortage of such gem owners out there. And i hope they agree to be on camera. Am sure we can come up with good list of owners.
Great videos and what a Great Guy and Petrolhead that is Chris Palmer. Just would like to know the name of the company that made his CGTs exhaust - couldn't find it anywhere
The fact there seems to be some sort of music player in the car cracks me up, it’s like they had to make it a generic rich guy sports car by force and they added random luxuries they knew were pointless, I’m pretty sure it’s basically impossible to hear any music over that engine.
It's a shame this series had to come to an end. Chris is great at talking about his cars. The best thing I've watched on UA-cam in a long time!
Why thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully not the last of Chris you see on here
