I adore heliotrope and orris! I’m going to buy M. Micaleff Pearl now. These scents are quite comforting to me! I love them for bedtime or to fill the gap after a shower! Hope the adjustment to the braces gets better! I’ll also have to try the other with orris.😊
I love and adore Champs Elysees but in the EDP iteration, along with D&G original Pour Femme and YSL Paris in the EDP, I would say they’re all within in my top 20 fragrances for life. So feminine, romantic, ethereal and just sumptuously floral. I love how articulately and candidly you describe fragrances, it’s so thoughtful, beautiful and gracious. 💜

Hi Cherie! I’ve just randomly stumbled upon your channel, but I’m definitely here to stay. I love the way you describe fragrances! Makes me want to try them all.
Cherie, Ormaie is on sale at Libertine right now. I just picked up the one that I loved and you didn’t - Marque-Page 😊 Ah, ysl Paris. I went through a bottle or 2 of that back in the day. I must try and smell it again!
Wonderful reviews. I loved Drop D’Issey for a brief time. Sometimes it irritates me. For me. Sunny Side Up fits the “been to the spa” smell and feel, when the weather is cool.
I really like all of the Trudon perfumes. I can’t decide which one I want to get a bottle of but Elae is up there with Aphelie, Mortel, Bruma, and Deux (II). Not sure if this would count as a lotion/spa scent, but I’ve gotten a few compliments on Orpheon by Diptyque. To me it smells a little soapy, aromatic… maybe an “earthy” spa. Thanks for the video!
I can't think if I have any lotion like perfumes. I do have both the Nux body oil and the perfume and I find the perfume is not that similar to the oil. I mean is it "similar" but not the same to my nose. I love the oil and just used up my bottle this summer but I didn't choose to wear the perfume more than a few times as it is also super light. I agree however that because it is light and body product like, it is easy to then layer over a few hours on with something more strong or longer lasting. You look lovely and I really like those earrings! oxJulia
I had braces in my 40s and you will reach a point where you don't even notice them. I missed them when they took them off! 😄 I kind of like this fragrance category and have always wanted to smell Nivea EDT, which is difficult to find on this side of the pond. Great video, Cherie!
I cannot imagine missing them! Lol but I’m only about 2 months in now. Thank you Jim, you have given me hope that I may yet become used to them! I don’t really care how they look so much as I am fed up with not wanting to eat in public and still lisping! Lol Yes same! I actually tried to hunt down a bottle of the Nivea to do this but eventually gave up.
Santal blush is my fav Tom Fords. I think I’ll need a backup bottle, older batches (transparent bottle). And I don’t do backups usually, maybe few of them. I love Paris YSL, have a 5-10ml in a vintage bottle and it is so interesting. Flowery but airy, it’s feminine, tenderly with depth. I don’t wear it so often but I love it when is raining and I’m surrounded by all the smells from my garden.
I’m definitely in the minority on Santal Blush. So many people love it. Not my perfume unfortunately. I would have loved to smell vintage Paris! But since filming this I have decided to hold onto it because I have a feeling I will circle back to it :)
First, you look beautiful with braces. Secondly, great video! You were talking about how sometimes you’re turned off by a perfume with Ambroxan and I know just what you mean. I adored French Flower for so long. I must’ve worn about 60ml out of a 100 ml bottle. Happily addicted to it. Then suddenly, in the spring, i couldn’t wear it. I tried again a couple of weeks ago, and something about the mix of heady tuberose and Ambroxan was simply too much. It hurt to wear it. I ended up giving away the rest. I probably should’ve hung on given how much I once loved it, but I do think I’m over it.
Ohhh no! I know you loved French Flower, what a shame! I think you did the right thing though, sometimes we’ve just had our time with a fragrance, you know? And it’s a good thing to be able to gracefully move on when the appreciation diminishes. There is no obligation to finish the full bottle xx
@@TheTopNote Thank you for the answer! Yes it would be interesting to see if there is a similarity because as I have seen on the internet they have some same notes. I have only smelled my pearls from MoV and I liked it very much, but it is expensive for me to buy a full bottle compared to the offer of mon parfum pearls that m micallef has on their site. My pearls is floral, creamy, powdery and you may like it also, because it has a nice rose, distinctive at first but also discreet. If you try it and is easy for you, please let me know your impressions! Thank you! Greetings form Greece 😊
@@TheTopNote Oh great! Thank you very much! I hope you will like it! And thanks to you I learned about Panthea Iris SHL and I managed to try it yesterday. I really liked it, as I like this kind of iris fragrances. I am also curious about Panthea. Have you tried it? Is it similar to panthea iris? If you have any other suggestions of iris fragrances they are welcome :) Thanks again! PS. I have also worn braces and it was difficult to get used to them at first. You will be really happy with the result at the end! 🤗
There are a couple affordable gems out there that fit this category perfectly. Oxygene Lanvin (W) and Noa Cacharel are worth checking out if anyone loves a lotion but better smell. I was also wearing Iris des Champs Houbigant yesterday and I think that might fit in this category. Dia is a favourite for me too. I wonder if you are picking up the fig in there.
I have Lanvin oxygène and Noa... ❤love them! I also get that vibe from jlo glow and Carolina herera 212 vip NYC. Have you try those? I wish I can get the Guerlain champs Élysée she talk about here in France. It seems like it is discontinued or they just change the bottle and formula😢😢 so sad
Hi dear ❤ Yep the full price of soleil Blanc is insane and unjustified! I guess we need to stop buying to send a message 😂 well no risk I give them that money 😅
@@TheTopNoteHave worn both for a day. Absolutely adore Dia - so refined and elegant. It’s in the same realm as Nicolai Musc Intense and Poudre D’or both of which I love. Thanks for putting on my radar. ❤
Don't feel self-conscious, the braces are not that noticeable and I'm glad for some imperfection in life, I get tired of youtubers with false eyelashes and full makeup. Ah, ambroxan is my nemesis, I am very sensitive to it, I get an almost gagging reaction, my nose ferrets it out, and unfortunately it's so ubiquitous and not always listed, so sorry that it ruined A drop d'Issey for you too.
