It’s funny how this theme can actually convey progress in the game when you first hear it the theme is basically just one word RUN but as you progress gain more confidence and overall become better at the game it slowly comes to a point where this song is a warning except one which you’re not afraid of anymore it shows how much you gained in terms of power and how much more ready you are now than you were before

Guardian's were based off of octorocks, just the dev team thought that gigantic octopus chasing you around Hyrule would be kind of gross. Hence, the robot octopus was born.
i remember. me and my friend were talking about guardians while i was trying to get a horse to a stable and when he mentioned gurdian stalkers, out of nowhere comes one and we panicked like crazy
The scary thing about guardians is that they are machines, the other creatures might feel a little bad for killing you, but guardians know no difference between life and death. They can and will kill you, and they will feel nothing in the process.
@@thewingsoffried-om Actually what I’ve found is that lynels act in self defense. Walk up to a lonely without taking your weapons out. They stare and take out their bow. Come closer they get their melee out. Unsheathe your weapons that’s when they attack.
I remember at some point, guardians stopped being a threat to me. In fact I used to use them as an outlet to take out my frustration The legs have their own HP, and breaking them stuns the guardian. Add on the fact that their only attack takes like 20-30 seconds to charge and the fact that they get stunned when you shoot them in the eye and you can see why they were so easy to take down Their high HP along with how easily they get stunned made them prime targets for me to take my anger out on. It was almost like the song was *my* theme and not theirs.
Reminds me of one time where I was aiming for the legs. Got two but couldn't get the rest because they keep turning straight towards me. God save my soul
@@Vlyg11 you see, lynels take more skill than guardians. If you mess up, it'll just make you more pissed off. With guardians, its easier to chop them up. Easier to see them squirm for help. Lynels fight back more.
A single Ancient Arrow to the eye will take them down in one shot. And unlike the other monsters, they drop parts even when felled in that manner. That was my preferred method for taking them down.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was really looking forward to seeing my favorite BotW enemy return, but then TotK just removed Guardians entirely. I get the focus is on the Zonai stuff rather than than Sheikah, but couldn't they have just left a few in? Or, even better, why not have them actually be helping out now since Calamity Ganon was defeated?
And also a metronome mimicking clockwork in a machine like the Guardians, giving more of a sense of robotic coldness. It tells you that this thing will kill you, and it will not hear your cries for help, nor your pleas for mercy. It cannot be reasoned with. It cannot be fought. You can only run from this malice-infested mechanical monster.
Ironically, I had no idea how to parry guardians at first, but I had to learn QUICK, because Ganon wouldn't get off the damn wall. I used guardians as practice afterwards and now I have the full ancient armor set, fully upgraded, with some ancient weapons.

We were making our way through castle town after getting the master sword and a guardian was chasing us and I had to make a turn to get to hebra when the guardian killed him in cold blood. That was before I knew I could bring him back to life but then when I did something just seemed off about him like his body had a new soul placed inside him. He always ran off from enemies and never fought them like the brave horse he was. Eventually when some stalmoblins came he ran off a cliff and I never brought him back after. Found a better horse afterwards. Now whenever I see a stalhorse or whatever they’re called I think to myself that could be reese and he might be angry for my betrayal of picking a new horse. So rest in piece Reece. 😭

The legs have their own HP, and breaking them stuns the guardian. Add on the fact that their only attack takes like 20-30 seconds to charge and the fact that they get stunned when you shoot them in the eye and you can see why they were so easy to take down
Their high HP along with how easily they get stunned made them prime targets for me to take my anger out on. It was almost like the song was *my* theme and not theirs.
Reminds me of one time where I was aiming for the legs. Got two but couldn't get the rest because they keep turning straight towards me. God save my soul

@@Vlyg11 you see, lynels take more skill than guardians. If you mess up, it'll just make you more pissed off. With guardians, its easier to chop them up. Easier to see them squirm for help. Lynels fight back more.
A single Ancient Arrow to the eye will take them down in one shot. And unlike the other monsters, they drop parts even when felled in that manner.
That was my preferred method for taking them down.

I get the focus is on the Zonai stuff rather than than Sheikah, but couldn't they have just left a few in? I love how you can hear a repeating piano sound mimicking circuitry with how it has like 4 low pitch notes going up and back down. It feels stuttered.
And also a metronome mimicking clockwork in a machine like the Guardians, giving more of a sense of robotic coldness. It tells you that this thing will kill you, and it will not hear your cries for help, nor your pleas for mercy. It cannot be reasoned with. It cannot be fought. Ironically, I had no idea how to parry guardians at first, but I had to learn QUICK, because Ganon wouldn't get off the damn wall. I used guardians as practice afterwards and now I have the full ancient armor set, fully upgraded, with some ancient weapons.

We were making our way through castle town after getting the master sword and a guardian was chasing us and I had to make a turn to get to hebra when the guardian killed him in cold blood. That was before I knew I could bring him back to life but then when I did something just seemed off about him like his body had a new soul placed inside him. He always ran off from enemies and never fought them like the brave horse he was. Eventually when some stalmoblins came he ran off a cliff and I never brought him back after. Found a better horse afterwards. Now whenever I see a stalhorse or whatever they’re called I think to myself that could be reese and he might be angry for my betrayal of picking a new horse. So rest in piece Reece. 😭
