I beat the hell out of my woodcutter's axe and brute forced it; it wasn't until I watched a playthrough that I realized you could use cryonis. Wish SOMEONE (glares at impa and sidon) could have told me!

I definitely think the Zora/Ruta plot was the best and certainly the deepest in the game
Same. When I first talked with an old Zora and all of them are mad at Link because they believe that Mipha died because of him... Man it hits hard

@@Howlingburd19 Yeah. Me too. I don't know, BOTW is more chill and all that plot of Link losing his memory and discover all the story wen he remembers is like, man
@@madaxd4420 like don’t get me wrong TotK is certainly a 10/10 game but I just think BotW is more immersive, the puzzles are more fun, the game is overall simpler (in a better way), and the replay value (for me) is higher. And this is more on the picky side, but I personally don’t like games that are TOO long. But I absolutely can understand why someone would disagree.
@@Howlingburd19 Thisss. I think the same. I love TOTK but BOTW is better in some aspects like Te puzzles. And also BOTW is my confort game I love it

It’s hard to appreciate how incredibly epic all of the songs for the boss battles are while you’re playing because you’re not only concentrating on not getting Link blasted to smithereens by lasers, but also being given directions by the spirit of a Champion or Sidon or whatever NPC is assisting Link during the battle.
In my case I COULD (I think is not the correct verb) listen to the music, the advices of the champions and pay attention to the lasers at the same time. It's like a superpower LOL

@@Luke-1411-Oficial i think they meant that they want to go in blind like they did for the first time, which could actually be possible if you have a friend that owns a baseball bat, and are willing to get amnesia. then it'll be like you've never played it! problem solved!

I can barely articulate why I love this theme so much - all I'll say is that it sounds as though, strangely enough, it reveres a certain grand, sacred beauty, while mourning the fact that it has become so corrupt that it must be met with ferocity. The bass marches with an unrelenting pattern of militant triads that errantly pound forward - it is the duty of the hero, after all, to charge onward with no regard for his own fear or trepidation - but the melody lingers on as long as it can, clinging to the cusp of every phrase, as if to plea that such a thing of beauty may receive mercy. It is the perfect musical expression of a desperate, yet energized duty to take up arms against something that is beautful.

Such a momentous battle, a statue of both Sidon and Link in his Zora Armor was made in memory of their epic feat in avenging Mipha and calming Vah Ruta in 'Tears of the Kingdom'.

The "shock arrows ready?" theme
Now that was a fight I loved and would love to play again. Absolutely epic, I felt so immersed I could imagine myself speeding up the waters and up the sky to save Mipha.

This is a real combat theme.
The theme for when you watched pointcrow for the first time and you see the:lets take sidon into gerudo town and also find out that bookshelves are the most broken weapon in the whole game

I just played this game from the beginning for fun and got to this fight. Vah'Ruta fight is epic and this theme has no business being this good! Even thought I had played it before, I was at the edge of my seat!

Ima summarize how the whole thing went on my first BoTW playthrough when I was doing Divine Beast Vah Ruta-(it was the first one I did)
Sidon: “Could you break that ice?”
Me: “Perfect timing for that new power I got! I think I can use it here!” *breaks all the ice and ready thunder arrow*
Also me: *has 0% accuracy and on the last one I only have 1 shock arrow left*
*somehow doesn’t miss*
“YESSS, FINNALY I DEFEATED IT-“
Sidon: You must go inside and do this and that and terminals
Me: NOOOOO *gets all the terminals* “Finally, I’m done! Now I just need to activate this…uhm…Thingy, and then I’ll beta this divine beast thing!
Waterblight Ganon: exists
Me: *turns off switch* “Nope.”
*turns it back on again*
*gets waterblight on first try*
“Well that wasn’t too hard….alright, what do I have to do now?! WHEN AM I DONE-oh look, it’s a fish”
*gets Mipha’s grace and finally defeats divine beast*
*proceeds to forget about the game for a few years until the sequel is announced*
*then starts to play again and starts the next divine beast*

People always talk about BoTW not having memorable tracks, but at least for me, there were quite a few that stood out. Both this and the Vah Ruta dungeon themes in particular are fantastic, IMO.
I don’t think I’ve very ever heard anyone say that. Basically everyone agrees that the Botw ost is full of bangers.

Haha, I even remember playing around with one of the marimbas in my band class and I started playing Revali’s theme. The two boys immediately recognized it and started talking to me and stuff and now I call them close friends.
(Also sorry if I sounded rude with my comment lmao)

Something about this makes me want to cry in a good way. It's such a good theme. Heroic vengeance mixed with grief for a fallen sister and fiancee(?), while attacking a giant mechanical ice+water elephant with electricity?? It's so cool and sad, and my a-level music brain is buzzing saying all the technical reasons why it works so well. That with the nostalgia of this being my first divine beast
I still think about the first time this theme played on the first playthrough
I thought I was having a serious skill issue trying to shoot down all the ice. I didn't even think about cryonis until I was actually in the beast. At least my bow skills got good and I learned how to use the quick menu early on
Definitely not resisting the urge to re-beat botw while listening to this on repeat
