nice video man, i love you dude

Very scary
Where do you even get something like this?

Nik, I'm always here for the futuristic noise and bad jokes. This is your thing.
Thank you, I tri
What about bad noise and futuristic joke?
Bad jokes? What are you talking about fam
Or what about bad future and noisy jokes
@@vuse6111 this is already our lives.
This was actually way cooler than I expected. There's some legitimate potential in this concept
Especially if they can get the price down. Like 1100 isn't bad, but I see the real appeal of this as an all in one for young guitarists
@@CheeseOfString This is using some $100 Chinese MediaTek smartphone from 2015 and clearly it has cheapest possible speaker in it. There's no way one can justify this price. $499 would be much more realistic. If they actually used some quality hardware, I would be able to consider $1100.
yes there is. I think i am gonna buy that
@@CheeseOfString yeah they need to mass produce it if that's gonna happen
@@CheeseOfStringWell when you consider that most really nice and expensive guitars are a few hundred dollars and then make it a smart guitar and the price make sense
The recording part seems great for musicians who love to songwrite by improvisation and dont necessarily remember what they did
That is a fantastic profile pic!
@@Sir_Catnip Likewise!
@@NeccoWecco oh this old selfie? Lol, thanx
Yes, if only there was a portable device that we could always carry with us and that could record sounds!

The upper angle is the most attractive side i've ever seen of Nik
This makes me want to listen to your acoustic EP for the 100th time
I gotta make another one of those
@@NikNocturnal yess!
I gotta listen to that, what’s it called?
@@yogxoth1959 the EP is called Reflection, Desolate, archaic, cascade and merdian are uploaded to yt if you want to listen to them
@@yogxoth1959 If you don't know already, Nik actually made a lot of original music. He has some instrumental songs (a very cool one is 'Colossus'), Songs with featured vocalists and the Acoustic EP. Check his Spotify
*Has a tuner*
Nik: yeah, makes sense
*recognizes note when playing a scale*
Nik: HoW DoEs It KnOw???
Pretty cool idea especially for beginners, could see this tech going far. But for 1k I’d rather buy a cheap beginners guitar and learn like most people.
I don't know, if it's built around better shape, of some superstrat, with good neck and bridge to compensate for its asking price, those teaching software features are great. Everything in one place, you don't need a computer to look for exercises, no need for amp, it can validate your accuracy, give you "quests" to do. I see a lot of potential with this.
Should have evertune-like but software solution though.
Since when are 1000$ guitars considered beginner ones?
It’s $1000 for a beginners guitar??
200$ is the cap for beginner acoustic guitars
Of course dude, unless you’re a millionaire no one’s gonna spend $1k for a “beginner” guitar. I think this guitar is great for the composers and producers though, there’s a whole lot of stuff to mess around with this guitar, can treat it as an alternative composing tool to a workstation keyboard when you’re on the go.
Nik please make something from 7:55 - 8:16, that was absolutely beautiful. Funny video, and amazing content, as always, my dude. Thank you, keep on rocking and Happy New Year, Nik. 🙏🎇🎉🤘
Totally agree. It gives me neofolk/acoustic folk vibes
I came looking into the comments to see if this was a song that was awesome
do you think theres a tab or something?
What a nice video.
Nik enjoying a new guitar with a lot of geeky stuff.
Exactly, just a fun product overall :D
1:08 the vocal part blends perfectly with the chord
EVIL!
please i wanna know the names of the chords or the song
The feature I'm most impressed by is the learning app, I've never seen a guitar that teaches you scales, notes, rhythm and actually knows what you're playing. But as this is probably aimed at beginners, 1k is a REALLY tough price tag to swallow considering most spend around $200-$300 on their first guitar. If they can make a beginners version of this with just the learning app to cut the price, they're really gonna be on to something.
Take this idea and do it yourself you can make $$$
@@Pirategod23 Yeah, pretty sure there's something called patents to stop me from doing that :D
It's actually $1599 which is insane, considering how bad quality hardware it has. Also, how much people spend on their first guitar depends on how much they're able to spend. I always recommend people to buy proper guitar if they have the money as their first. It's because quality guitars do not lose their value and sure as hell won't keep you down. There's no point in practicing with crappy toy you can't get adjusted, cause that way you'll learn to play with a crappy toy. Of course, there's plenty quality guitars you can get as low as $250, but then you absolutely have to understand what are the red flags you have to steer away from when making the purchase decision. Also, even if you have a good cheap guitar, it will lose it's value the second you get it out from the shop. So if you're not interested in playing, best thing is just to smash it into tinder and burn in your fireplace lol.
It's 500 now. I think this would be a great device for college courses where you learn music.
300 for a guitar and 300 for a smart watch. 400 to put then together
The concept is fantastic, I wish they made a solid-body looking semi-hollow (like the fender Acoustisonic) or better yet for me, a 5-string bass version. I've tried stuffing a mini-amp and speaker into an acoustic bass but it did not really work that good. I lack the technology, you however, have the power. Use it wisely and junk.
I loved the lava 2 concept, I honestly think this one is a bit "too much", maybe useful but mainly for learning
Have you seen the price?
Yeah but the efects are quite nice over the last gen
I got one as a guitar i could leave in hot cars, travel and not have to baby. It is bullet proof. Holds tune even in the worst conditions, and plays great! Worth every penny imho. 9/10 just a little slippery in the lap.
The strangest part is when you played the "cowboy chords".
;)
I liked this a lot. Your reactions are fun, but this is something I can enjoy vicariously without buying something I will never buy. Makes me want to buy a 100 effects pedals honestly. Enjoyed you in the shred colab BTW.
С Новым годом Ник, успехов в 2022, оставайся всегда таким же крутым 🤝
Love how Opeth-y the playing sounds throughout.
Love the built in loop and effects.
man nik you should definitely do a video on those amazing scales and chords you use on an acoustic, sounds angelic!
FR
I got the chance to play one of those last year. They are very interesting, the soundhole placement is cool, the construction is top notch stuff. Plus they will NEVER warp a neck, they dont even have truss rods
1:07 so basically, melo-death?
Yes
Was a little hesitant on this in the beginning, but now this is really neat. Would love to try this.
The Terminator’s an infiltration unit. Part man, part machine. Underneath, it’s a hyperalloy combat chassis, microprocessor-controlled, fully armoured. Very tough...But outside, it’s living human tissue. Flesh, skin, hair...blood. Grown for the cyborgs
Very cool instrument dude! Love your videos
Thank you. I thoroughly enjoyed that.
In my opinion, your sense of humor and guitar skills are on the same level. I enjoy all videos immensely big dawg
Great video Nik!
Great video! The guitar playback seems quite quiet though… is that just the device recording the vid or UA-cam ?
That is actually pretty cool.
Wow Nik NGL I had no idea you even played guitar! I need more of this! Reviews fam I need them.
I’m frightened and excited to see what TheDoooo will do with this technology.
Imagine a double smart guitar lmao absolutely wild
A built in synth/sample module would be cool in this, so you can get more sounds with the guitar, or a MIDI out jack, so you can control other synths or samples.
hearing nik play beautiful things made my day
I was expecting this to just be a stupid gimmick but not gonna lie, I'm actually impressed.
Looks very cool and useful
Nick!!!!!! I just bought one, it's dope man
Holy shit, this thing is a game changer for learning music theory! Might need to snag me one
3:36 You should make a power ballad song based on that improvisation, it sounded soooo good!!!
Oh my God brozef, this is what I was waiting for in my whole life!!
Thank you, thank you and thank you!
You are a recommendation God!
Definitely going to get this one day. Looks extremely useful for both beginners and professionals. Also doesn't require carrying a heavy amp with you.
Nik missed out on his opportunity to be an amazing mariachi guitarist
I wonder, can you pick a effect and then go to record that in the other app. if the recording on it is accurate and you happen to record acoustic tracks that thing could be such a QoL purchase!
Now he needs to cover some metal songs on it. You need to plug it in with distortion and just make some chunk.
Definitely makes those Opeth chords pop...
Pretty pricey! But would like one for when I’m camping, at beach, or park, to have the effects and looper without having to set up all my busking gear. But I think I would not choose pink, unless there was some pretty little flowers on it!
Electronics aside. The lava me 2's are absolutely awesome for what they are. Ultimate car boot guitar. Take it everywhere. I leave in hot cars all day and they hold tune. They play good, and sound very bright and loud. More so than you would expect. Zero regrets. And my comparison is against a higher end taylor. 9/10.
Nik succesfully without trying wrote an old school Opeth acoustic track and I loved it.
Watching Nik playing an acoustic guitar (and in general) makes me realise how truly bad I am at this instrument 😭😭😭
Keep improving my friend!
Stop whining and go practice!!!! We'll just stop sucking by practicing everyday
2022 - smart guitar
2023 - fastest ever Minecraft speed run on a smart guitar
Sounded a lot like the song Cascade from your Acoustic EP Nik
A guitar that has everything built in it seems like an uncomfortable concept for some reason lol
The lil Diddy you play at 7:55...... My lawd the tears
I live in Germany and I have 3 guitars at home, a random acoustic guitar which is made in Korea, a Luna ukulele, and a Squier Sunburst Strat, which is the only electric guitar I have. I would really like to buy a Lava Me 3, but I don't think my apartment is enough big to fit all these guitars! Looks like I need a bigger house 😄
Did I just hear you play Invaders Must Die by The Prodigy? Awesome.
That's actually an awesome concept
Definitely need one!
It's like a chibson pictures really done!
Love the Runescape reference @5:57
If this had distortion in it, that would be great.
You know, that sound at 1:04 reminded me so much of Uaral (Chilean acustic doom), you should check them out
This is an amazing guitar! My son wants one.
Thank you for sharing
So this is what the guitar people use in cyberpunk 2077. Always wondered how they managed to get the guitar to sound decent without having an amp.
I dont know if this guy is doing it on purpose but his edits are genius and paced perfectly. I wanted to change the channel a hundred times but just couldnt.
man these young'uns are having it easy these days with these spaceship guitars 😒
*laser noises*
How old are are you weeb
I respect that you're secure enough in your manhood to don a soft pink guitar. First pink Lava Me 3 on UA-cam, I think.
Next thing they're gonna do is just put an amp inside of an electric guitar
Well i like it. Maybe pretty nice for beginners.
On the effect side, does it come without a distortion option?🤔
You should defiantly make a acoustic ep with this baby
Hey Nik i love youre content keep going dud as it is, but i have one little question. Could i recommend a band i just found them recently and its a banger in my opinion, i would love to see youre reactions to it. If you could give me answere to it , it would be awesome.
actually cool product
This is really cool, but no metal/distortion effects? :( It'd also be amazing if it had guitar tabs you could play along with (ala Rocksmith) and also some sort of built in pitch shifter if that's even possible.
Was hoping he’d go like a drop g
Bruh this is sick
This thing is awesome 👏🏽
Is it just me or is it actually a great tool for composers?
Literally cannot hate this thing
Oh anyone remember that old Line 6 guitar that had no pickups - it was all done through electronic magic or something
Are you talking about the variax. They were pretty sweet.
Pretty cool idea. I think it would be great for people learning to play guitar when first starting out
what kind of scale are you playing in this video? It sounds lit!
Love how you said Mum like a brit. That made me chuckle.
Was wondering when you were going to review this
Watch sooner or later they’ll make updates for the guitar to have games for the guitar similar to Super Mario Bros, Temple Run, Jet Pack Joyride, Fruit Ninja, Among Us, and possibly more. Then depending on where you strum is basically your movement.
need to buy!
Wow. This is actually really freaking cool.
I need one of these!
This was very entertaining
7:55 sounds so good
I have a question? I would appreciate it very much if you would answer! Do you have to link the guitar to the app, and scan the QR code and all that, before any of the effects, drums, looper, ect. will work on the guitar? Or is that just for unloading, downloading from their site?
This is a really good product
Nik you totally have to make a song with the guitar 👌
nik is probably the most humorous guitarist on youtube
1:19 i was ALMOST convinced he's not gonna play wonderwall
Neo be playing this in his pod, that's for damn sure.
I was like… awesome!! Lets order one… then checked the price 😅. I love the feature of learning chords and scales in the guitar, but if you are buying a guitar for 1k you probably already know the basics.
eh, not a bad price for the product
@@Aestareth_ not at all!
I just dont know who is it ment for really? Beginners? Enthusiasts? Musicians?
@@nomnomNACHO it's meant for whoever wants it and has the money for it. with the tech it has, of course it's gonna cost 1k+
@@Aestareth_ I dont think the tech is that expensive, but probsbly the carbon fiber body brings the price up!
@@nomnomNACHO now that i think about it yeah, i guess the cost of the materials isn't that high. but eh, there are plenty of guitars that sell for thousands already anyway
yo I just saw that you have nice death metal band logo on your chair, that's cool 😂😂
Literally was considering buying this two days ago
can you record midi notes with that for daws ? that would be sooo dope
Holy cr4p this is the futureeeeee this sh!t came back in time, it's crazy, I don't even know if I like it yet XD
dude, what is the song you played in 7:56 ? sounds amazing
Love ya
