Oberon is my most favorite frame since 2016. It feels like I spend too much time using him to the point that (I think) I know how to bring out his best potential because I can literally use him solo in every mission with ease.
@@hdgkldscope6447 Hell yeah! I love that build. Definitely the most satisfying and can do just about everything. Yeah it definitely sounds like you can bring out his potential based on your experience in every mission with him. He's always been pretty slept on but he ain't a slouch!

I came back to say... Hallowed Eruption works a bit like Expedite Suffering. If you have Elemental Damage or Physical Damage DoT, casting Hollowed Ground again will "expedite" all remaining damage basically nuking enemies. I tested in Steel Path and outside of a Nox and Heavy Gunner with full health, Enemies with viral / toxin / slash / radiation procs were nuked...I will do more testing and post back here when I can test level 200 enemies.

Fun fact, you actually don't need to get another headshot kill after activating Renewal (16:10), as the Hallowed Ground armor bonus goes off of the strength from when Renewal was cast. No need to get extra strength from Pax Bolt for just the Hallowed Ground cast. Edit 5/20/23: I made another mistake at 11:03. It doesn't take more casts to get the armor strip on Steel Path. I've known this even when I made the video, I actually have no idea why I said this. Oberon is great, period.
I enjoyed watching this, I love Oberon and I like seeing people's thoughts on how to improve him. I got back into the game with the Angels update recently and have enjoyed updating my builds to meet the new content. With 2022 updates, I'm currently ignoring Reckoning entirely! I've always thought that the energy cost is too high to justify it and found it underwhelming overall. Here's my logic: There are plenty of ways to strip armor in the game and TTK is so short on all but the strongest of enemies, so Reckoning is typically the skill I replace. I use Smite Infusion to add radiation, and use Viral/Slash builds on my primary and corrosive on my secondary, which pretty much covers all armor weaknesses anyway. Definitely a more 'selfish' build style, but I'm also giving people 100hp heals/sec and 500 armor at 250% power strength, which goes a long way to keeping people alive. Instead of Reckoning, my main loadout at the moment uses Sentient Wrath, which is a fantastic skill - it's basically a Rhino Stomp, providing hard cc to round out the kit and a damage multiplier which compensates for the lack of immediate armor stripping. Best of all, it's cheap to cast. I can go a long way into arbitrations with this build, but haven't tested it out much in Steel Path simply because I haven't engaged much in that game mode. Now that there's primary/secondary arcanes, it's something high on my list to explore. Thanks for the video!
I used hllowed reckoning nad max out my range....gives tones of damage the more enemies around as the aura overlaps through each other adding more dmage.....the only downside, your screen literally full of colors you cant see anything hahahaha
And neither one can nuke on Steel Path reliably and cheaply against armor even with the reckoning strip but the utility from reckoning being able to strip is the reason I use it instead. But its certainly not for nuking as most of my damage comes from my weapons.
I haven't played for years (I'm waiting for the cross save since I've moved on to pc from console) but his passive use to work with specters as well. I had an entire build around that and it was great. He essentially became a dark paladin who tanked (also when I say tank I mean the traditional use of the word... meaning someone who draws aggro) . With the addition of rhinos ' roar it might even get better.
Continue the quests until you unlock the ability to get a railjack (ship) for space combat. From there you do Earth and Saturn missions that are designed around the for the railjack (proxima).
I tried to change the polarity to make the umbral mod less but I didn’t see that mods shape at all when I was switching through them. Do I need to do something to unlock it or something. I have all the umbral mods though I don’t have mine maxed yet
Umbral Forma from Teshin at a relay. They are purchased with steel essence from Steel Path. He doesn’t have them every week either. Believe it was like every 4 weeks or something he brings them. You can watch my Forma guide to find out more about formas.

There are quite a few frames that could use a good boost on their skill damage. It would be good to see the increases happen, but it has been a problem for quite some time.
@@LucidWolf yeah with the endless scaling of mobs in WF, it gets ridiculous. Even adaptation doesnt keep me from being 1 shot by only lvl 80 mobs......idk how yall fight mobs up in the many hundreds

Reckoning augment mod is powerful, just don't use it for armor. Group up enemies on your grass with a helminth ability, then reckoning.

As an Oberon main myself, I find that a duration based nuke using Hallowed Eruption, vastly outdoes The Reckoning nuke, and is much cheaper.
As a follow up, since we have staynax now, we can subsume his 1 or 4 to give full strip too, making the nuke even better

Using eclipse is far more better than using roar
Yeah its not always consistent though. Roar is good because it goes to allies and the goal is to support our team.
